Here's a thought from out of left field... Could Fumi be the shadow otome?
Entirely possible. A similarity in appearance has already been compared between the Shadow Otome and MH Mashiro in Child-mode. We know that MH Mashiro was the Child of MH Fumi. We also know that features of a Child often appears on the Otome Meister Robe of the Mai Otome counterpart.

As such there would be no surprise if Fumi, with horns like MH Child-Mashiro, ended up being the Shadow Otome. You might be on to something there.

Fumi as the Shadow Otome, very intresting idea. And it does look like at least on the outline similar to Child-Mashiro.

You also got to wonder what Miyu's role is in all this. Arika is in windbloom under heavy attack by schwartzs. Will we see Miyu finally in action :D looking forward to that.

That possiblity has also been heavliy discussed before the hack.

Feels pretty safe to rule out Arika and Nina, since we know their elements does not look like a claymore. (What are Nina's elements, by the way? Looks like two daggers... not very flashy. :() Same thing goes for Mai, I guess, since she has those... rings. On to Irina... well, I can't imagine they're going to make Irina a fighter. Same goes for Erstin.

Best bets would be Fumi or Mikoto, I guess. Or perhaps one of those pillars shown in the OP. (Feels pretty safe to say they actually are the "missing" pillars.) I hope it's Mikoto, but the chanses feels pretty slim since the Shadow Otome is a... well, Otome. And Mikoto is a cat/ghost in harmonium-thing.

So Fumi sounds like a good guess. But then, Fumi is supposedly dead. Yet not entirely, since she can assign the graduating Pearls to diffrent countries and stuff... This isn't making me any wiser... :uhoh:

Her weapon are a pair of "Sai". Typically used in Martial arts. I own a pair and their pretty nice:)

The Otome we saw in the first op. standing against the moon. We can see the face or anything else. It had wings and stuff and a big ass sword.

Someone be nice enough to post a image of it here?

Have a few people been voting with the Harmonium shadow in mind (the Harmonium one most definitely is Mikoto - although I suppose this one above could be as well....)

Here's one - I think it might either be Mashiro or the little street urchin from before. Something about the hair length and the body type bug me. It's hard to tell how tall the 'girl' is with the length of the sword being larger than MH Miroku but even that thing was huge compared to Mikoto - this one looks like Miroku's big bad brother. Anyway, the girl's small and young - not much development in the hips area.

Now before this idea gets blasted in the terms of Mashiro with the entire 'contract' thing - just remind yourself of how the last HiME battle between Mai and Mikoto was concluded... Mikoto just lost the will to fight after being emotionally overwhelmed, thus being 'defeated' - it was not a clear victory by CHILD and/or HiME destruction.

Now, Arika's not the type to go around trying to kill other Meister because she knows that someone else dies along with the Otome. If Mashiro, Arika's own Master gets turned to the 'dark side', it would make a fight between Shadow Mashiro vs Arika & Nina all the more paramount, wouldn't you say? ^_^ I bet you anything that Tomoe would be involved in it - she'd WANT a double KO between the Windbloom Queen and her own Otome.

And finally...hey, it COULD happen....*shrug* :heh:

That's quite plausible actually. That lil Sewer urchant is now featured briefly in the opening, and has appeared a few other times.

By the way, anyone else notice that the urchin bears a slight resemblance to Alicia Sears?

... her name is Mimi and she only slightly resembles Alyssa. Any connections to the story that she has are up in the air.

I don't think it's the two new pillars because the robes look differently. One of them has Alladin pants while the shadow Otome obviously doesn't, and the other has a cape, which yet again isn't in the picture.

Lately I've gotten the idea that it might be Tomoe. Reasons? First and for all, we don't see her robe in the new opening. The opening seems to not shy away from revealing other new robes, but hers isn't shown. And although she won't be staying with Garderobe I think it's fairly safe to say that she will use the robe because she is still wearing the signiture Otome apron in the opening. And her 'meister' dress is black which would kind of fit with the shadow Otome (something tells me those wing things of Shadow Otome are actually black).

I hope she was FireRuby and Shadow. But... Awww I wanted her to get both.

Mikoto is a shadow back at that instrument thing. Fumi(Is right about not knowing her Otome info yet) could be it.

I'll go with Mikoto... just because I think SunRise hired Shimizu Ai for more then just go "Meow, Meow" and three lines in ep 7 (although there was that girl Mimi, look like Alyssa, was voiced by her too)

we made a theory in another topic sometime ago, well me and someone else

i didnt vote Mikoto, mostly beause it dosnt fit Mikoto's hair, venthough it is a shadow figue i can see long hair and not 2 halt parts of Mikoto, nor any spikey Mikoto hair, bye bye option n.o. 2

And i saw a page scann in the Image threat with scans of Nina's, Natsuki's, Nao's and Mai's robes on it, so they rop off aswell !

what leaves then is my possible right theory of that this is an Otome, produced by Swartz, who stole data in episoe with the survival exam, im sure it isnt on that is introduced yet
