Is it a zanpakuto?

I was just wondering, althought Ill bet theres not a lot of Ganjyu fans out there... is his sword a soul cutter? Remember that in the real world regular swords cant cut spirts, but Ganjyu's sword can (at least he seems to think it can since he take it out to fight with) Or maybe is it that every sword in soul society have the ability to cut spirts just because it came from soul society? Kuukaku has a sword too, zanpakuto or no?

I think that's the point here.
Everything in Soul Society can hurt a Shinigami. It doesn't need to be a Zanpakutou.

Considering the fact that the Shiba family also knows several high level kidou and have created their own/modified ones for the fireworks...and was probable a family with some position in the past..


Its likely that atleast Kukaku's is a Zanpakutoh.

Are all swords not Zanpatou's regardless of having special power or not. Don't know if Ganju's zanpaktou has a name or not.
