Okay. I think its hard to say who Sergey really likes. Coz if I remember correctly, He was only a child when he fell in love with Rena. :confused: So that makes her too old for him? Mai should be about the same age as him, judging from Natsuki. Arika?: She's just too young for him. It really wouldn't be right, and he knows that (hence not reciprocating her affections).

So Mai or Rena? Well, I'm willing to bet its Rena. Never underestimate the power of a childhood crush :heh: :heh:

And if Sergay is Otome-universe's Yuuichi, then the one he truly loves will be Mai.

If she left right after graduation that would be about 8 or 9 years ago, or shortly before Sergey adopted Nina.

We know that Sergay was studying in Windbloom at the time. Therefore, he probably joined the military AFTER he graduated and prior to that time he spent it with Mai. Otomes are what? 15 years when they enter 1st year and 16 when they graduate (Since Pearls are 2nd year students). Sergay, who is 25, adopted Nina 6 years ago when he was 19 and we know that at that time he was in the military.

Besides, watch episode 1-2, you can see just how much hatred there was between Sergay and Natsuki when they first saw each other.

Hatred? No... Contention, yeah they both have that. It's kinda like one of those 'only putting up with you because of a mutal friend' situations. Since the 'mutal friend' is now gone, they don't have to hide the contention any longer. :p
I seriously would have liked Sergay to have flirted with Natsuki once or twice during the season, just for the sake of throw-back to Musashi. :D But them being snarky was nice to watch.

Anyway, if Mai comes back and both she and Sergay jump at each other...Nina's gonna have a mental breakdown. :heh: :heh: We know Tate likes his girls with 'substantial' assets - does Sergay share this preference as well? He did tell Arika to cover up her 'underdeveloped chest' during the Coral Hike... And the woman he flirted with on the sand boat was pretty endowned (either that or it was just the dress)...well, you get the picture I'm sure. ^^

Another possible point: I do wonder why does Sergay have that poofy red neckscarf thing with his outfit...doesn't match unless Sunrise is giving proof that primary colors are the best. :heh:

I'm gonna guess that the reason why Mai's boyfriend 'vanished' like he did was because he was called back to Artai to join up with the military. After learning just what Otome were called to do, would later swear allegience to Nagi in the hope that he could create a new world/system where Otomoe would not have to shoulder such a huge burden on their shoulders - where everyone could have access to the Lost Technology.
And we know how much Nagi likes to twist his words about...:p

Guarderobe being in Altai's hands (that was good, right? Right.), Arika being revealed as the real Windbloomian princess (Nina personally reflected that the annoying ant-girl couldn't possibly be worse than Mashiro-sama... though she did so very privately)...

...damnit. She couldn't possibly like him too, right? And her father was just stringing her along by letting her call him Sergei... If so, how did he feel about her? Did he return her feelings? Which one, between the two of them, did he like more? Or was he still carrying a flame for that woman?

An eighth sigh escaped her lips as she reached the door to his 'quarters', which was really little more than a fancily decorated cell inside which he was recovering from his injuries - taken while he was defending Arika, no less. The guards guarding the door recognized her on sight - how could they not? - and immediately moved aside to let her in; she didn't even spare them a glance on the way in.
"Otousama?" She said as she opened the door...
...and found him standing, bare-chested, without his bandages, in front of the mirror, posing in a way to make his muscles apparent - and he had enough, she noted embarassedly - while fixing his hair upward and...

...and saying to the mirror:
"Who's the real manly man? Yeah, that's me. That's the hotness of me, right here in front of me. Oh, if you weren't behind this mirror, I'd kiss you!"
"O-O---"

Had someone been close enough to read the words on her Meister Gem, they would have read:
Brain seizure detected
Engaging Autopilot
Autopilot Engaged
Engaging Pride Protection Protocols

And Nina, calm as ever, walked outside, closing the door behind her. To the guards, she said:
"Continue winding your watches, and make sure he enjoys his peanutbutter and jellyfish sandwich. Also, your boots are unshoed, you might want to lie them down."
As she left, walking in a perfectly calm manner worthy of the noblest of women, the two guards stared at her departing back, in total incomprehencing shock. The guard on the left had no idea what boots being unshoed meant, but he suddenly did feel like lying down.

Haha, I laughed when I read Mai on this poll. The best answer is Rena and that is what I voted for. But putting Mai on there is pretty random, is it okay for me to vote for Nao then? Sergay SHOULD love Nao the most. He financed Nao's enrollment at the Academy.

EDIT: I think I know why Sergay hasn't mentioned Mai at all during this series: Rena Sayers is still an 'open wound' for him. Knowning that she had died back then did not give him closure so even though he might have fallen for Mai, in his heart, Rena was still there.

Sergay's probably going to give all he's got to see that justice is done - he kills Smith and destroys Rena's corpse once and for all along with the tower. I see him in a nice and touching almost-death scene as the place falls apart around him but who is he going to be saved by? Probably Arika...:heh: Since Rena's case will officially be 'closed', room for Mai once more. ^____^ v
