It wont get lisenced till all the episodes are done with and future OVA's, like hajime no ippo.
I HOPE!!!
in a long series like naruto, i think the licenseing company wait untill the production finally stops. I think its safe to assume that they could be up to episode 90 or so by now.
the reason that they want to know for sure that the show is finished, is that for some unfortunate event that the producers drop the show or the network does, and the production of naruto stops, they will have a licenced series with no end.
now that would suck for them.

Naruto will NEVER come out on public tv.... tats my opinion
they have way too many things to take out of the show such as blood, cussing, sex related things. It has way too much to edit out comfortably IMO.
that doesnt mean its not comming out on DVDs so theirs still a chance it will be licensend.
i agree w/ p3psi, i doubt itll be licensecend until the series is finished. Although it scares me that Bandai's name is comming out after the intro and ater the ending song.
Sometimes they don't wait until production stops. Inuyasha is still going on and is licensed.

... well.. inyuasha SHOULD be stopped. the series is just too goddamn long. they should stop it and make OAVs. up the quality.
i mean, are they STILL chasing after narataru guy? or have they killed them and are trying to have kids?
... just because the game is coming has no influence on whether or not the series gets licensed.. it is how well the game does. if everyone buys it, then they may license the series because it is popular here.
moral: dont buy that game.

They did it to DBZ...

no no no, there's a diffrence from production and airing the anime. they probally are all ready done making all the episodes, and now all they have to do is release one every week.

wish they'd do more than one a week... I'm not fond of waiting.
Yo..TheGreatYakoshi...Where you at?...Cant wait till the next holloween for you to scare the Naruto-concerned folks...
savor the present folks and stop foreseeing the future...matta khure (as Shikamaru would say)...

I think it says Bandai in the intro and ending because the Japan Bandai has something to do with it.. not the US bandai??? Anyone know for sure?

I would wish for a Supermodel on my lap. that way if it does come true, i will be alot happier.
wish for 2 naruto eps a week and you will get something lesser: an A on a test or a slight raise
wish for the moon, and you will get something less... like a supermodel on your lap
wish for 2 naruto eps a week... and you get to be god for a week.
Well considering they are still cranking them out and the end is nowhere in sight one would assume production of the episodes is still going on.

"wish for the moon, and you will get something less... like a supermodel on your lap"
wishing for the moon.... where is that damn supermodel? :heh:
Who knows. They might just be finished with all the eps of Naruto and all they have to do is air them. For all we know they might decide to cut the series shorter from the manga, they might even end it after the chuunin exam, lol.

i dont think so... i think they will go indefinatly.. at least untill they run outta sponsors/funding...
hey whats up crimson? got any more good wallpapers for us?
No way will they end the anime soon while it's still hot. Naruto is the #1 anime in Japan right now and don't be surprised if it ends up being 150-250 episodes long.

I do think it sucks waiting a week for an episode, but doesn't that make watching it all the more sweeter? HMM?

I hope that Naruto never gets lisenced in the US until they finish the Naruto seiries...BUT...If it does get licensed, that means that someone will have to sub Naruto in english, and make some DVD Volumes of it, which I will most definatly buy! :D

Ah, yes, it's a shame my lovely Halloween thread was lost forever in the unforgiving void of Server Limbo. I was quite proud of it... I'll try to think of something else soon, though I doubt anything could top THAT.
Back on topic, you'd be surprised what kinds of anime get licensed. I mean, I was flipping through my Right Stuf catalog the other day, and 75% of that stuff is pure crap. Frankly, I'm shocked Naruto DIDN'T get licensed (though grateful). I think it has a lot to do with the popularity of the anime at the time. If it's currently on air in Japan AND popular, it might cost more to pick up, so most distributors will sit back and wait for the series to end first, or for the popularity to go down. (There are special cases though. Yu-Gi-Oh! was just making TOO much money to pass up, and Inuyasha was so popular that Viz would have been morons NOT to pick it up, since they already had the other two Rumiko Takahashi series.)

LOL! Same here... I saw that and was like WTF??? NOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Then saw that it wasn't the case... ::lets out a sigh of relief::
Woah... imagine Naruto is as long as DB/DBZ/DBGT? OMG... I'll go crazy from waiting around for the episodes to come out and watch them... the wait is bad enough as it is... and if there are 500+ eps and we're only on 57... then then...

As for DBZ, they need to kill off that show already.
