The first message means something along the lines of they are going to have flag up advertising MAI Otome Zwei in the train station (can't decipher place name.)
The 2nd message says something along the line s of them putting a poster up in Akihabara train station to advertise MAI Otome Zwei
I don't think there are any dates set for the release yet but logic would suggest that they'll come out after the last DVD (voume 9 which should come out in September), so October will be a safe bet fro the 1st OVA release.

In all honesty, the poster has to be for a TV broadcast... Why else would a promotional poster be put up in a train station? COMPANIES DO NOT ADVERTISE DVD RELEASES 3/4 MONTHS BEFORE THEY COME OUT.

Even so, the poster would probably have a new image, and a new image counts as news. It's possible this image will be up on the website aswell, as those times coincide with the next time the official site updates.

I agree... Sunrise isn't so stupid as to market a broadcast exclusively through poster.
Maybe, but i think that this news images will be shows after the Final Count, so After 15th August... To force people to go to show this poster... Someone may snap this poster and post in earlier if he wants. Well we'll be fixed soon...

Also what sort of plot points do all of you want to see. I wonder how Nina brings Sergay back since she is in the dominant position and can make up any story to him she wants, and if she does what happens if his memory starts to come back.
Theres a good reason why Irina would want to bring Erstin back, look who gave her all those science books and likely is someone with a science-geek streak. That and a paring between the two can be very cute.

The first supposed omake, "The Record of the Traversal Exam ~ The Legendary Arika Yumemiya." has been debunked for a while now.
I thinking about 4 DVD... So 4 OVA and 4 Omakes logicaly... 1 OVA and 1 Omake per DVD. But i should have wrong, right :)

as y'all know the DVD will be released on Nov.24. It's 30 min. long. It will be 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and have Dolby Digital 5.1 unlike the TV series. First Press for the LE will include a CD w/ new song as well as a special illustration collection and amongst other things, a picture label. The LE will retail 7,140 yen and the RE 5,250 yen. Obviously for those who buy R2s, it's gonna be cheaper than that (slightly). It's a bit pricy for one episode, but i'll getting it regardless since i'm such a mega whore. Anyways, to confirm again, it's 4 volumes/episodes and it will be released every other month.
here's the short synop of ep.1 if anyone wants to translate as i ain't got the time right now: 第１話「ユメノ☆ツヅキ」

It probably won't air any time soon. For now, it will be directly released onto DVD starting on November 24, 2006 and then every other month, a DVD will be released. There will be 4 volumes and 4 episodes. 1 episode per DVD. :uhoh:

Dude, apparently you don't understand what is gonna happen at Comiket...
1. Your notion of a title change is unfounded outside of a Chinese site.
2. Advertising in Akihabara and other business districts costs a shit-load of money. Why would they change the title when they just dumped a fair amount of money on poster and banners that say "舞-乙HiME Zwei"?
3. If a title change was imminent, 2ch would've already picked up on it.

3 Months passed... And More Impact must be infliged... Still that just we wait for it, the Stategy of Sunrise now is just to show a few informations and wait for final impact, like they make for the PS2 Game or in you opinion, what do you think?

主題歌 means theme song, last I checked. It's far too vague, it could mean either an OP or an ED
Can we suppose multiple possibility
Who will sing the OP?
1. Arika and Mashiro?
2. Erstin?
3. Other Seiyuu(it may be that a new character?)
I'd say Kuribayashi Minami since she sung the other songs plus her character might play a role in this OVA as well.

Mashiro looks more mature with her serene face expression. :) The closer she's getting to her My HiME counterpart! Arika on the other hand looks the same. It's got to be her hair.

A photo I took in Akihabara Train Station four days ago while I was on holiday in Tokyo. It was new (I went to Akihabara every day in my last week) up the day I took the photo.
On a side note, while I was there I spent a lot of time going around the Anime/Manga shops like Animate, Gamers and such, and the MS IV store (the small store that deals mostly in non-pornographic doujin games) next to the main MS store had a large display focusing on what I understand is a rather well produced unofficial Mai HiME game of some sort for the PC, selling for 8800 Yen. I was going to buy it, but bought random art books in Gamers (my favourite store their, excluding the Dos Para PC shop) instead - that looked shoujo-ai-esque from the covers - and seeing as I cannot read any Japanese besides perhaps the Kanji for "hour" and "station" - the majority turned out to be hentai - or partially hentai. Not good in my opinion, and there are some pictures that scare even me. I did manage to pick up the Mai HiME fan/poster book, and the most recent Mai HiME/Otome art book, which is very sweet, I must say. I only flicked through both after I unpacked them from my hand luggage - thank God KLM don't check hand baggage weight (about 30kg of books in my backpack + 20kgs in checked-in luggage) - and my eyes lingered longest on a full page picture of Mai and Natsuki in a rather suggestive pose. I like. He he. I never really considered the two, but I remember feeling that the pairing was actually quite desirable afterward.
My purchases sadly reminded me of how much more I prefer Mai HiME over the quite poor Mai Otome.
Oddly enough, the Mai Project was not particularly apparent in Akihabara, and my eyes saw much more Evangelion and Strawberry Panic! (I'm certainly not complaining of course, expecially in the last case). The odd display and poster, and the art books, etc were actually quite hard to come buy. I saw both Mai HiME fanbooks in the rather well hidden (If you can't read Japanese floor plans) K-Books, the guide for the game in Animate, the most recent art book in Tora No Ana and the Mai HiME fan/poster book in Gamers, as well as the Mai Otome fan book which I avoided. I ain't paying 2500 Yen or however much for that over-hyped rubbish, thank you very much.

Not as far as I recall. The "big" displays belonged to Fate/Stay Night (which I am unfamiliar with), Strawberry Panic! (which I was very pleased to see, as it is my joint current favourite with Blood+, and favourite Shouji-Ai series - it looks to be heading for somewhere bigger than the Mai HiME Project), Neon Genesis Evangelion (this was everywhere; Rei Ayanami's on banners and giant posters of all shapes and sizes particularly, and an "over 18" arcade-looking place that looked completely devoted to NGE), Melty Blood (lots of posters around - not much else) and the one I spoke of outside MS IV devoted to the Mai HiME doujin game (non-pornographic game, I must stress).
Actually, thinking about it, I wonder why there wasn't much Blood+ around.. giving it's popularity, quality and budget you'd assume it would be everywhere. Hmm.. I guess it's still early days for Blood Plus.. even though the TV series is around 45/46 now in Japan.. I expect several more series and OVAs to follow.. judging from the ammount of quality merchandise around.. and the fact that every time I watch a new episode I see more and more sponsors joining the already saturated line up of large Japanese and international companies. I mean - I don't usually go in for models and figures and such - but I had to buy the Saya and Hagi one.
Despite its apparent lack of product and advert availibity in Akihabara, the Mai HiME Project was noticably popular. I saw a number of Japanese and a few western foreigners particuarly interested in the latest art book - and I didn't actually see that many people look at the stuff I was looking for - despite its implied massive popularity (shelf space and near out of stock items speak for themselves) - even though the place was stuffed with people. The stairs in the multi story buildings were not a challenge from the perspective of having to climb them - I am fit enough to have no trouble with them, even in the heat - but the difficulty lies in getting past people. Not even the Japanese seemed sure whether you ought to stay on the left or the right, or whether the stairs were for going up and the lift for going down - or vice versa. Yet, I didn't see many people spening much time browsing. It was either near deserted or impossibly crowded, depending on what time of day it was.

Man it feels like ages since I finished watching 'Otome'. It will be good to get back on that train again. I'll need something thing "old" and something "new" after I finish up on 'Witchblade' and other stuff I'm checking out. And 'Mai-Otome Zwei' is just the thing. It's definitely something old and something new. Just check out the title, "Zwei". Man, what's up with that? Then again I never looked up what "zwei" means considering I've heard it enough throughout the years. Well, I guess we're not the only ones excited. I just hope that this little short run will answer some questions. Guess HiME wrapped up enough that it didn't need a OVA. Does that mean we'll get more crazy "fanservice" antics with a better budget? Hahahaha!! Hoo boy!

Anyways, is it me or is Mashiro more mature in that scene where she is wearing a white hat and white clothing. To me, she seems more like a elegant queen and seems to have more responsibility as a leader of her city. :D.
As for the Shizuru x Natsuki, I thought that scene was from Mai-Hime or something. But aftering looking at the right side where I see Mai and Arika in her Robe, that is when I know it is from Mai-Otome:heh:. Normally, you wont see swimsuit versions in Mai-Otome other than in Mai-Hime:p.

I think It's disappointing! I liked how each otome was different and had a different element etc. Well, some were similar... but you get my drift. Whats the point of being individual if they get those guns or swords or whatever they are?
I hope that's only a small portion of what actually happens.
They're Otome Boosters. Can anyone tell me what it is with Sunrise and space battles? :uhoh: Yes, I agree. The Boosters are okay since they're like wings or something. But the guns, I'd rather have their old Elements. I really liked Haruka's! And since it was finally animated, but it was only used 2 times!

Was I the only one with the "don't have sex" part with Akane, is that Maya just wants her to herself? Just needs to find some replacement and then the fun can begin.
Maya probably just likes teasing Akane maybe? To me, in the TV series, that just seemed like they wanted to save Akane in order to have a full Otome blast in the finale. :heh: Since the blast is over, I don't think Akane nekomimi is needed any longer. No offense but I never liked her Robe with the cat ears to top, why did they feel the need to add that? Comic relief? :uhoh:
