how did you generate the background?that's a wallpaper i got on the net - didnt do that one. (i think its from deviantart.com)
It's a landscape scene with a river on it.
I think the artist used a duotone effect with red/orange filter to make it look that way.

I noticed that a lot of avas/sigs have thoseboxes (kinda like graphing paper). Is that a built-in filter for photoshop? What's the name of that effect?
My software doesnt' come with that so I was hoping maybe I can download that plugin on the net...

Hmm... it should be transparent

'cause:

1. Oro couldn't summon snakes when he was young and
2. It wouldn't look good with snakes... IMO...

EDIT: Arnel.. It is another pattern to generate... It is like making scanlines, but with bigger gaps, and with bigger lines...

There are online tutorials for that...

Google "Photoshop Tutorials"...

changed my ava/sig again. hopefully my final revision for the sig - (made the dimensions bigger 420x100 and changed to grayscale to make it <50k).

Anyone know of a good scene with naruto's hair and clothes being blown by the wind with atleast the full-upper body showing? Haven't found any yet, mine is just part of the face and shoulder...
any help is appreciated...

For those using gif animator, there's a setting on the optimization screen to reduce number of colors and filesize while minimizing dithering. Its the minimum variance method. Use that instead of the default method median cut and then just specify the filesize u want and it will adjust # of colors for you...;)

LegioN, your welcome :), im not sure if other programs can resize it. any program that handles animated gifs should be able to. I use ImageReady, others use Ulead Gif Animator. Dont know much about any others.

Can any GIF gurus tell me how I can reduce the size of this animation?

Right now it is 64140 bytes... It is 100x100 and only has 7 frames. So I don't understand why it would be so huge. I used VirtualDub to get the screencaptures and had ImageReady assemble them. If there is any way that I can reduce the file size without killing the animation I would be greatful to know (I'm trying to keep the size at 100x100 if possible). :bow:

i need alittle help, im working on a layout for my livejournal(www.livejournal.com/users/sketchu)
and i need a cool and wicked background..

what i had in mind for the background was a piccie of naruto(like the one i have now), but with maybe two small(105x105 pix or so) animated boxes from the naruto anime on where he is happy and one where he is angry..

the color behind naruto would be black, this way i dont have to redo all the colors :)

That would be pretty tough for me. Best I could do would be to animate the tongue so that it is moving. Maybe I could get the head to move if I put a lot of work into it.

Are you sure you have all the latest codecs? (anbu48 is Xvid)

But since it seems to have an issue with DirectX you might wanna update your directX drivers. Maybe turn off DirectDraw acceleraton if it's enabled.

it's in ep 62, approx 13:29 to 13:31. it's very short, but it's where neji is doing the whirl. it shows him doing the whirl and then it sort of zooms in on him and you can distinguish neji himself a little better, im looking for the part where it zooms in on him :) . it should be pretty easy to loop.

Most of them, especially in the last batch, the ones with the telescope..

In whatever program you use, you should be able to crop an image with 'equal width and height' so that you can pick the part you want to use as a gif, crop it, and resize it to 100x100.

Or you can just resize while keeping proportions so it's 100x83 or whatever it would be normally.

Well this is a recreation of the famous "Taking requests for Naruto GIF's" thread that was deleted. Since all the GIF's were deleted Im going to have to repost all the GIF's that Ive created again (this is going to take some time so please be patient).

Here are the new rules for making requests:

1. Please specify episode and timeframe that you want a GIF to be made from.

2. Dont ask what software was used to create these GIF's. That can be made into another whole thread altogther.

3. This is mainly aimed towards avatars since its easier to meet the size requirements that were on this message board earlier. So that will be 100x100 and under 50kb. Signatures may be requested but they should be under the 50kb requirement also.

4. Enjoy yourself and have fun.

Okay Lee-pimp, try to understand that people probably didn't do your request earlier because, well, it's not possible to get all of it in an avatar.

If you wanted Gai in it too, it would have to be a sig, and even then, his turning head makes it awkward. Also, the text in the intro limits flexibility.

i was wondering if someone could make one of naruto when he's doing his impression of orochimaru, where he's sticking out his tongue. it's from 27:36 to 27:37 in the 26/27 episode. it looks like the tongue hits the same initial spot before the camera starts to move so it should be loop-able. i dont mind if anko is in the way.
