Okay, maybe it's all in my head, but every time I see this particular shot, I can't help but think that the two kids look an awful lot like young Ayu and Yuuichi:

And on a related note, considering that Ayu, Nayuki, and Makoto did make a brief appearance in episode 2 of Air, what would you think the chances are of there being at least a quick Misuzu cameo (heh) in the new Kanon? Not that I'll need any additional encouragement to watch it, but... ;)

Wow they do look like them, but I do think the only official cameo is in ep 2.

I've thought about that as well upon hearing about the new Kanon. If it happened to Air why not the other way around right in Kanon remake. All I need Misuzu to say is Gao is that would be enough^^

Note if she appears in Kanon, she may be shown wearing winter clothes which would be a first since AIR is all about summer and never showed anything realted in winter.

Well, there was Nayuki, Ayu and Makoto in AIR ep 2 when Yukito asks them if they've seen Misuzu. So maybe, they'll put some AIR characters in the new Kanon, too.

Good point about the seasonal difference. I can just picture Misuzu all bundled up against the cold, with just enough of her face showing to be recognizeable, saying something like "G-gao...samui..."

Alternatively, Misuzu and Yukito can make a cameo as themselves on a TV show (similiar to the Potato show in the movie).

I think Air characters appearing in the new Kanon is more likely to happen then FMP or SOS members - you know Key and all.

The new Kanon anime is going to be 24 episodes long, so at least see Misuzu is a must.

I'd adore it if they added Yukito, but for some reason i can't picture him walking aroun in the snow. ;____;

is kanon a "secoun sesson" of air? because in the end of air im sure i saw yuuichi ( or what hes name is) and Nayuki as kid's.
i just cant get it off my mind :/ btw the first kanon seri is when they are kid's the secound is when they are adults, so its just a remake?

That is a homage to the game Moon, which some of the key staff members did before Key the company was created. That's also why that character appears in the game Eternal Fighter Zero^^. No anime was made from it it's just the game.

I wasn't actively looking for any AIR characters in Kanon 2006 but after watching it I don't remember seeing any character cameos in there.

Perhaps Misuzu's VA being that of Sayuri had something to do with it.

That could be...I was watching for a character cameo, and am still just a little bit disappointed that they didn't at least place Haruko and Misuzu in a background somewhere, but oh well. I can't say that they ignored AIR, given all the other references they put in -- Books Shimano, Niinuma Rice & Alcohol, even the Takeda Shop; ads for Thick & Pulpy and White Cloud Ice Cream; and even the sloth in the toy store.

i don't know about you guys but the car of misuzu's dad also appeared in the one for the ferryboat scenes in MoSH. BTW, it's a KPGC-10 Skyline 2000GT-R, the same car in GTO that onizuka raced with (the Hakosuka GTR).
