Hmm, since Season Two will be 24 episodes (22 aired on TV and 2 DVD proprietary), I'm starting to accept that the first half will concentrate on Bell and K1's relationship, where everything starts to unfold in the latter half.
The Satoko=Outaki-senpai story was laid out in a nice way, although concentrating on the two meant no air time for Urd and Skuld, which was a minor letdown.
Aoshima is the same old bastard, so no surprise there, but it seems as if Sayoko has reverted back to her old ways, which is disappointing as I was expecting more character development.

Is Episode 5 released already?It has been broadcast and the RAW is out. We don't link to RAWs here, but people watching RAWs or the original broadcast do chat about the show days prior to the fan-subs. :)

Heh heh, K1 and Belldandy goes through that same "K1: I'm sorry to have you accompany me in lectures. Belldandy: I'm happy too/I'm learning a lot of things too/other excuses...etc" speech everytime after that lecture? That's sweet...a bit too sweet, but that good (or bad, depending if you enjoy AMG or not. But it's quite assured that everyone ventures into this forum likes AMG) AMG way. I find a bit ironic that Aoyama-senpai asks K1 for some relationship advice and help. Observing K1 being so sweetly with Belldandy, essentially a girlfriend, for over a year, can't blame him for thinking he's a candidate to refer for guidance. Well I suppose after being with Belldandy for a year he's learned a thing or two about relationships. And of course with the help of some of Belldandy's powers, everything works out for Aoyama. Good for him for gaining a female companion. Next episode preview, "That's Jealousy?" We all know what happens when Belldandy's jealous, or is that when she's unhappy? Hmm...

Yes, I'm referring to Season 2, as I've seen the episode count on several sources, the clincher being from AMG's official website (http://www.tbs.co.jp/megamisama/04goods/dvd.html) stating that Season 2 will consist of 8 DVDs, containing 3 episodes each.
As for the two DVD only episodes, likewise with Season 1, TBS (and other network stations) does this for several reasons:
1. Broadcasting schedule conflicts/constraints: For example, a 24 episode scheduled series may be shortened in case it is preempted (e.g., Black Cat).
2. Being co-producers of the show, TBS will rake in more revenue than they would from just sponsor air-time fees, if the unaired episodes enhances DVD sales (e.g., REC, Binchou-tan).
3. TBS needs to show something special from each of their current anime portfolio for the TBS Anime Festa, held in August. Last year they showed AMG epsiode 25, and it would be natural course for them to do the same this year.
It's not to say that the 22 eps are finalized (as it could be 23).
On an off-topic note, although TBS related, xxxHOLiC will probably be the same as AMG, the special feature of Rozen Maiden Traumend will probably be shown during the Festa, and the unaired episode 14.5 of BLACK CAT will air in late May.
WHOA! I didn't even KNOW the second season came out already!!! That's what the last 3 weeks of the semester will do to you...but JEEZ. What a great post-exam treat! 5 episodes into it already! Where the hell have I BEEN!?!?
But getting back on subject, is it just me or has the animation changed just a little from the first season? It looks like they're going back to the OVA style? Maybe I'm just insane... anyway, can't wait for the sub. (This just made my day)
Saw the ep 5,didnt really understand it,because i dont understand japanese...
but,when i saw all the episodes,i saw all (1-st season and 2-nd) in 1 day,and i think in the end Belldandy will be human...,dunno cuz stories like that always have ends like that :d
I must wait till the subtitles to read. There was no way that I could follow it in raw. As usual, can't wait till its ready. NO vote yet.
offtopic - I'm learning tiny bits of japanese thru hearing (no way to read it). Its funny now I can say out loud 'that means..' to lots of things. So so so many conversations have almost the same words from different shows a person cannot help but notice -just a minute', 'what the..', 'incredible/amazing', oh and that 'its delicious'... :D

Actually, judging from the way I read it, I think its the same as season 1 in that 24 episodes will be AIRED (in 8 DVDs) and there will be another special 2-episode 9th DVD.
I mean, they say 8 DVD, but don't forget they did the same for the season 1, with the 24+25+special on a 9th DVD...so theoretically there were 9 volumes but they counted it differently.
Considering the anime-festa, they probably can show the "season 2 episode 25"...I highly doubt they are airing only 22 or 23.
Besides, from a business standpoint, if they are really going to put 3 episodes per DVD, it won't make sense if they put the "special" episodes in the 8th DVD along with the last episode of the aired TV series.
Because if so, there won't be the extra revenue from it, for those who want the DVD will buy it regardless of specials.
If you put it in a different DVD, you'd have those who want the DVD buy the full set AND the special DVD, along with those who only want the special.
Now, this is all based on the assumption of another 2-episode special being made, but thats a different story.

When Belldandy is upset, bad stuff happens, such as a sudden thunderstorm, heavy rain, objects get damaged...etc. Vicequaizer refered to the Senbei episode (episode 16 of last season of AMG) as a reference for examples of this phenomenon.
Where is version this episode with subtitles. Or when there will be ?? :D I very want watch this episode, but does not have it continuously

AnimeYuki and AonE have just decided to make the jump from Fullscreen to Widescreen; Wich means eps. 4 was their last fullscreen release, wich also means the re-release of the first four episodes (1 & 2 already out) before seeing eps. 5 subbed.
I for one, am extremely happy with this decision. :D

I look forward to watching Ep. 5 as much as anyone and I thank the fan-subbers for sharing their work with us. I think the least we can all do is be patient, relax and revel in the fact that someone out there still cares about this series...enough so to take time out of their own lives to share it with us. If you would like to give them feed back on the technical merits of their releases, I suggest logging onto their IRC channel or post in their forums.
Ep. 5 will come out when it’s ready, so who’s up for a beer while we wait? I'm buying. :)
The widescreen of AMG airs 3 weeks after the full screen version so you'll need to wait a bit before AonE & AnY subs episode 5.

Makes sense to me. There's lots of other interesting series to watch in the
meantime too.
If you think this is bad, remember when Karin episode 23 aired and then
it took three weeks for Episode 24 (the finaly episode) to show up due to
pre-emptions due to holidays in Japan and some other issue (I think they
were showing some important sports program or some other thing).

lol sounds like me at times :P but u cant even find the raws for alot of the episodes (like the new episodes 7-9) u know:P its a pain :P lol
But, This episode was good. felt like a filler to me. But i enjoyed it :D
They kinda repeated ..and repeated one scene a few times lol.

I just loved this episode, it was very sweet seeing Ohtaki falling in love. When I found out that Satoko was into cosplay as well I thought they're a perfect match. However, at the end where you find out that the father has interested in cosplay too it became...weird.
Refresh my memory but this wasn't in the mangas right? It's been soo long since I reread any of my AMG mangas.

I loved this episode. I'm glad that there's development aside from Keiichi and Belldandy, and now, Den-chan has a love interest, who's very interested in him as well! This is definitely a series for the ages: when one feels down, one just looks at this and becomes happy again - it's very pleasing ... :D

i thought it was a really entertaining episode - the "recurring" scenes between Keiichi and Belldandy after lectures is really 'sweet' (depends on how you want to take it :p). and the scene near the end where you have a chibi Belldandy sitting on Keiichi's shoulder was simply too cute for words. LOL.

Actually, it was. It was chapter 6, so I'm not surprised that nobody remembers. I could definitely remember that Otaki had a girlfriend who appeared once in the manga, never to appear again, but going back and reading that chapter, the writers really took a lot of liberties with the story. Then again, basing an entire episode on one chapter leaves them with very little to work with so it isn't all that bad, and most of the changes work out for the better anyways.

Woot! Finally saw it. I gave it an 8. Episode wasn't one that I would much care for, but it was very charming and it was nice to see them delve into the minor characters a little. I found some parts to be a little overly cheesy, but for the most part it was good with some laughs here and there.

There we go! I always thought Ohtaki and his odd friend (can never remember
his name) would be interesting for some type of character development. This is
good. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
The repetitive scenes with K1 and Bel' after the lectures at first got on my
nerves but after a while I realized they were trying to do which made me
laugh a bit. They're in a comfortable rut of sorts.

Woah, you're right. It is chpt 6. No wonder I didn't recognize it, they changed a lot of it from the manga. Quite frankly, I like how they did the anime episode a lot better than the manga chapter. It's more cute and funny that way.

Was Ootaki always a cosplayer? It would explain why he had all those wierd costumes lying around. They never mentioned it in the U.S. version but maybe it was left out..?
