Yay! My Meakashi-hen drama cd has finally arrived. Time to finally get the feel of Meakashi-hen.

I thought that Takano's song was quite good; her voice actress sings quite well. Tomitake's song was quite cheesy, but I suppose that was the point of the exercise. Though Tomitake is a pretty poor ally of justice; he almost always winds up dead and even when he doesn't he gets captured and has to be rescued. :)

I could totally see an Akane+Kasai gangsta rap. :D Great idea! Chie-sensei, being the joke character she is, would probably sing about curry and nothing else. Or complain about being a joke character. xD Perhaps insert a few TYPE MOON references here and there...

I can't say I cared much for either song, but I liked the fact that Keiichi tacks on a "Yes Hinamizawa!" to the end of his song. :)

I've been witness to violent (not to this extent) acts where the person (mentally unstable, and drunk as well) is very convinced and talking, very vocally upset, but won't remember any of it later. The drunk part didn't help at all, but it also had to do with his sickness - his eyes didn't even look right.

So, I could see something like that "really" happening, but it is possible, I think. To hurt the ones you love in a pained manner, and not believe it or even remember it later.

But yes, it is kind of drawn out, near the end. Still, brought tears to my eyes.

Tougenkyou is the japanese prononciation of Chinese Paradise (originally: Tao yuan xiang, which means Spring/source of the peaches IIRC).

As for Kuuruu ni nare, it means "stay cool" (which can be used for "calm down" oneself)

I know some one who did and put it up on Megaupload, but I think giving you the link would be against the rules XD. If you want to get audio from videos though, just download Realplayer, and enable the function where whenever you watch a video, a button to download that video comes up, and then after you download the video, download AoA audio extracter and run it through there. It only takes about 30 seconds.

After listening to the new Character CD, I'd say that Akasaka's song is the best of the three. Chie's song predictably is about curry ("God save the curry rice!") and sounds sort of Indian (NecoArc is right for calling her Indian). Irie's song naturally involves maids. I didn't care much for either of them.

I also didn't care much for the remixes of Nano Desu and Keiichi Oishi no Uwasa Jikenbo ABC found in the Character Song Remix CD. I wonder how well it will sell since it isn't really presenting anything new.

After listening to all of the remixes I have to say that I really like Nanodesu Oyashiro-sama Breaks & High Speed Auau Trace. Nanodesu deep smoke mix was alright, but I would have liked it better if they used some actual lyrics rather than just "Auau"... I didn't really like the Keiichi Ooishi no Uwasa Jiken Bo ABC remixes that much.

As for the new theme songs I actually like Chie's for some reason and it got stuck in my head... Akasaka's song is my favorite though. As for Irie's song I can only find part of it, but from the sounds of it I think Akasaka's BUCHIKAMACE 徹甲弾！ will still remain as my favorite out of the three, while Chie's 知恵先生のカレーライス音頭 is the most catchy song for me. If I remember correctly, all the versions of Dear You are fan made. As for the seiyus, most if not all of them are the same since the Drama CDs (the Sound Novels didn't have voices).

In episode 6 of Kai, when Irie talks to Rika about Satoko being at LV3 while she is taking a test with Takano, there is a song in the background that is performed almost solely by a piano.

Since i have pretty much every music of Higurashi i searched that version but the most similar one i found was "Hakana" from Kai OST vol.1

Do you think they simply removed the bells from "Hakana" and make it loop or there is a "solo piano" version that i missed?

I know i ask annoying questions but i totally LOVE the songs and BGM of Higurashi (game and anime :D ) and that piano version is so sad to hear.....

Well it says Rika's on vocals though, so I'm assuming she'll be singing all the songs.

Ummm... it also says that Keiichi is the producer and that Natsumi is the manager... but, that can't really be the case. Do you expect their seiyuu to all take the roles that are assigned to the characters? :heh:

I have a hard time believing the image should be taken that seriously. I've never heard of base playing Mai Nakahara or keyboard playing Satsuki Yukino or manager Kaori Mizuhashi. The idea of them all doing these things just because one image says so is ridiculous... it's even weirder to assume that that's the case when you can't read what the text next to the image on the site says. ._.;

I mean in the "character" sense of the CD. Maybe like Keiichi and co. formed a band or something and that's what this CD is about.

I don't expect them to go that far, no way.
