This, I'm pretty sure is all anime filler. However it was awesome from start to finish so no complaints from me. The Yakitate-like reactions during the first half had me rolling. The part time job thing everyone did was funny as well especially Tenma at a bakery, and Nishimoto's video store. Next time the basketball arc and a new character is introduced yay!:heh:

Also for Yakumo fans this episode does right by you

Episode 07 Screencaps and Summary (http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2006/05/14/school-rumble-ni-gakki-07/)
Another good episode, but one that doesn't really fit into the plot. It's more like a compilation of extras. Like hi no ken Jebus said, it's still quite funny though.
I agree it doesn't fit into the plot at all, but at least I get to see my favorite pair in action once again. Yeah I like that very old pair, Oudou! If only Tenma could be like she is in Harimas fantasies. It is because of those fantasies that I like her, that and because she is a nut. I wonder if anyone wants to start a Rival faction Lala x Ichijou, as in Lala defending Ichijou, that would be my dream come true faction. hahaha
BTW Yakumo in the other cute bunny suit was the best.

If Yakumo is present, it's at least a nine in my standards. If YakumoxHarima is present, it's a ten.

It was a decent episode, overall, but it doesn't really meet the standards that the other episodes set. I'm interested in knowing why they rushed the previous episodes only to make an original filler episode here.

the part where akira is zipping up her leather outfit for her secret job is sooooooooo hot

It was an ok episode. I did like certain scenes, but overall, it did not feel like it had the same calibur as the previous episodes.
Something I noticed in this episode. Yakumo is now a part of the four girl group. When did they welcome her as a regular in their group? Just seemed strange.
Also, what happened to Yakumo's best friend? Why isn't she hanging out with her?

Sara is still friends with Yakumo. This was an original episode, so it's not a part of the manga. I get the feeling that the purpose was more fanservice than anything else - the bunny girl suit and Akira later in the episode seemed to reflect that.
Maybe the studio needed to catch a breather while they figure out whether to go for 13 or 26 eps. Anyways, next episode is back on the story, so it should fit into the story a bit better than this one did.

I would have never known that it was a filler episode, it was a great episode anyways. Sure, it didn't really have much to do with the main story but I was still pretty funny :P Like usual for School Rumble!

This was a nice episode, imo. The beginning was all "Iron Chef" and I'm quite surprised that Harima and Hanai can cook. I'm starting to get hungry now. :p However, the end was fugly since that fat and ugly maid won the cook off. :heh:
At the end of the episode it showed us where and what the characters in School Rumble worked at was refreshing. I wanted to see a scene where it showed a good shot of Sara in her uniform. :(

This episode very much lacked the usual SR spark, and that I now find out that it was entirely original (ie, not from manga) filler doesn't really surprise me. Fair enough, all series have their "off" episodes, and if this is the worst SR has to offer, that's not too bad. But, I haven't been totally satisfied with about the last 3 or so SR episodes. They haven't been anywhere near stinkers, but the have been below average for SR's standards, and the fact that they've happened consecutively is slightly worrisome.

But this episode does phail for crab battling in a no-crab battling anime. That and bringing back that maid. >_>

I thought this episode was pretty good overall, better than the past few episodes. Yakumo in a bunny outfit, but not as you might have hoped, great gag!
As for this being "filler", even if this is an anime original, since when does SR have a coherent plot anyway? Stuffing in bits that make no sense at all is an SR trademark.

the first half of the episode was great, but the last chapter of episode7 was a little weak. the akira part was funny, it could have been done with more WoW factor though. the maid winning was funny, although a little disturbing still. i like nakamura he kicks butt then takes names. then serves you tea.

Yes, I thought the last 3 or so episodes probably haven't been up to the usual SR standard.7 8 and 9 I thought have been lackluster. The cooking contest was good but after that the job eps and basketball have been surprisingly boring, I fast forwarded most of it
