Problems downloading files from rapidshare,megaupload etc

I have problems when it comes to downloading things from places like rapidshare and megaupload. Whenever I try to download things from those sites they say that Im already downloading a file when Im not, or that Ive reached the download limit when I havnt downloaded anything.

How do I know if Im using a proxy or a shared IP address?:confused:

You are using NTL (or a service provider that they supply transparent caching to, like Virgin net). The remote address (IP of the client making the request to the server) for the post above is from an NTL proxy.

In other words yes, you are using a proxy, and before you ask, no, you cannot switch it off. NTL trap all outbound traffic on port 80 and re-route it to one of their proxy server farms.
