What do you recommend ?

Hey guys ... my first post here and I'm already asking for stuff . I was wondering if you could point me to some good series , preferebly OVAs . I'm looking for something like DBZ you know ? Something in the way of "hero with superpowers" . Maybe something with characters that can fly . Something heroic perhaps , people giving their lifes to save others . Something with sad moments with heroes sacrificing themselfs . I'm think I'm asking for a lot here , but I bet there's something that fits that discription .

I'm open to any suggestion . Even common known animes goes . I only know the more mainstream animes so anythig can help .

very cool and interesting anime with a killer OP and ED,
reminds me of an old game called psychic force Keith and Burn are exactly like Kazuma and Ryuhou.

Shin Hokuto no Ken (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=2778). It's very violent though, and you don't really need to watch the actual series to actually get into it. No flying characters though.

Rozen Maiden (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=4463). Yes, it's about dolls, but they do have powers and can fly. It has sad moments, even more so in the sequel. :heh:

King Of Fighters ONA (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=5924)(<-- damn name changes) It's short, but has decent fighting in it.

Gaogaigar Final OVA (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=2066). It's mecha, but the pilot has his own superpowers. Plenty of heroic stuff. You should probably watch the series first though.

Hey guys tanks for the suggestions . I'm already looking for Scryed and Shin Hokuto no Ken . I saw some clips from both of them at youtube and they look great . I just didn't find torrents for them yet .

And physics223 , I don't really like Naruto and I've never seen Bleach . I'll look for that one too ...

For the best display of heroism, yes, Gaogaigar is the best out there. Its called Yuusha Oh Gaogaigar/ King of Braves Gaogaigar for a reason. Remember to get the awesome Gaogaigar Final, probably one of the best OVAs ever released.

I,d recommend bleach, it may not be an ova (its quite long actualy) but it did have the main guy flying and one time

Mmm, my recommendation to you is to watch Bleach. It has lots of action and doesn't have many boring moments (like fillers). Bleach also has OVA version btw. Another one would be Naruto, they're still on the filler episodes but it has some cool fight scenes so I guess it's not that bad. Other recommendations would be: Yu Yu Hakusho, Scryed, Inuyasha, Fate/Stay Night, My-HiME, and Mai Otome
