Well, I've been thinking of starting my own sub group called
ChibiDraghon Fansubs. I have one whole anime opening subbed, lol...
And it only took me 3 hours T_T

I am a one man team, but I do my best.
Please view what I have done so far and give your comments.

If you wanna help, add:
eternaltwilightx@hotmail.com
to your msn and I will send the file over through that.

Sorry, thats the only way I can do it at the moment :(

You might need ffdshow installed to view it since the sub and video files are not joined. Just download ffdshow-alpha and...open configuration as shown...

make sure to check everything in the pic above ^^

Now just open using mplayer2 or mpc [media player classic]
Please give me some comments :)

It is tough to give you any comments when the clip is not available for download. I don't have msn and I suspect that sending it to everyone who is interested is a bit much for your 56K modem.

All I can say is Good Luck!

This is what it looks like on my computer
[I re-sized it, the video isn't really that small ^_^]

It will look wierd if you don't have the same font installed so
I can also send that through msn as well.

Nosanninwa:
I recently got highspeed^_^
No more slowness for me!

Special Credits:
They go out to animespy.de for the
raw ^_^

If anyone cares, I added a l33t karaoke. It's not quite finished yet but it will be as soon as I get to work on it again.

lol. I've always wanted to start a one man fansub group, but never really put it to work. From the screen capture, I think it should be pretty good, the subtitles looked good, white with black borders...they're like the easiest to read for vision-defected people like me. i'd dl it, but i don't have MSN either, maybe IRC or something? And if ChibiDraghon really does happen, i'll help!!

heh!
Yay, lots of people are willing to help.
I'm planning on trying to sub an actual episode,
with some help from JAppi for the OP maybe?

If that ep is a success, expect ChibiDraghon
TO HAPPEN

or we could rename it :)

You might want to rename it to "ChibiDragon" >_>

By the way, verily Azumanga Daioh is licensed, and verily it has already been subbed by two groups. Also, people would not like having sub file separate from the video, so I suggest you package them in an OGM or MKV container.

do old series of animes like all the galaxy express 999 related stuff that enver got licensed

ChibiDusk, I don't really like the font on that opening...

Also, like maxthelostboy said, you should really do an older series or a series that not many people know about (and isn't licensed yet). You could do something like "Spirit of Wonder". There are a lot of RAWs for that floating around and I believe AnimeEigo's license expired some time ago.

If we're thinking of the same thing, Spirit of Wonder is licensed by Bandai (http://www.bandai-ent.com/products/product_details.cfm?id=254), and has even been released in R1 (just to let you know).

Actually, that's the sequel to Spirit of Wonder, it's official subtitle was "Scientific Boy's Club" because it follows the travels of Breckenridge, James, and some of their fellow scientists. The Spirit of Wonder that I'm referring to goes by the name of "Miss China's Ring". It's a very nice OVA that was released some time in the 80s, though I am not sure of exactly when it was released. The second Spirit of Wonder OVA, the Scientific Boy's Club, was released in 1992.

You can find information about the first Spirit of Wonder OVA here (http://www.animeigo.com/Products/SOW.t) and here (http://boneyjellyfish.com/index.php?showID=144).

Oh, neat. Thanks for the info.

pah, H is my special touch, not a spelling error ^_^
ChibiDraghon, the H effects nothing in the pronounciation, but just adds
a special touch of mine to add originality.

Also, I am not subbing azumanga daioh, its just an OP I had that I thought I would test my subbing skills on.

Also BJF, I don't really like the font eirhter, but it was the only not-so-ordinary font I had at the time.

And I have learned how to hardsub, so the file won't be seperate anymore.
Got to love VirtualDub and Xvid :)

You don't need to hardsub it ;_;

Ahaha, the "H" is a "special touch" already... it's very... H :D

Finished Test Project Number 2!
Wow, in just a few days I've learned a lot!
Of course, I had lots of help from JAppi and HolyAngel [Suteki-Yume]

I'll add some screenshots and information later.
I still need a translator if I want to actually sub a series :S

Here we go!
http://www.hostultra.com/~realemotion/hackudeden.htm

This time, highquality, subs are connected to the video,
and its encoded in DivX! Future releases will be Xvid.

[hopefully animesuki won't mind me posting one link?]

In my opinion, you should use a different font for the lyrics at the top and the translation at the bottom.

Hm, yeah, your right...
Thanks, we'll take that into consideration next sub ^^
