The Tenjou Tenge manga have some colorful pages at the beginning, the covers are also done quite great. You should be able to locate scans of those, and they will surly make some great pics... just a suggestion ^^

My current avatar was made from a 250x250 cut part if I good remember.
You mostly always have to resize your avatars and signatures, it's not the end of the world as long as you don't use a crap image editor :)

If you do, right click on the text layer and go to Blending Mode, in the new window select outer glow on the left-hand list. Set the mode to normal and play around with the colors and intensity. For a solid outline set it to 56-1

There are a multitude of GIF threads scattered throughout the forum along with the popular "How to make your own animation GIFs" thread located right here in general chat (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=642).
For sigs, you can use any imaging program (paint, photoshop, paintshop pro), its *really* simple. You can use any picture as a sig.

Oh, and incase you wanted to know this too (which has been posted more times then I dare to count)

To add an image in your signature, go to the USER CP, then to the Signature option and type [ img]image url here[/ img]. (without the spaces)

Quick Question/s, can anyone tell me how to do borders in Photoshop 7.0? Is there some option or tool for adding a border, or am I just supposed to do it by hand using pixels? And if I am supposed to do it by hand my other question would be, What am I supposed to do when I cannot zoom in far enough to get to pixel size? Thank You for any and all help/advice. :)

May not be what you asked for... but the image source you gave us was kind of hard to resize into the dimensions you asked for... it would get massively deformed and such... I basically just did what I could with the image... I don't know what a "funny looking, but extremely readable font" means... so I just used a font used in scanslations... anyways... there are always other people that could try to work with that source image...

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking... but... to color the border marquee in... you must go to the Edit menu and select Fill... then from the options, select either the foreground or background color (referenced from your current palette)... once you de-select that border marquee... it should have the color you chose...

hope that helps.... maybe the other members here can help you out better... ^^

Hey people ^^ I'm still alive, just on vacation right now.. once i'm back i shall take assigments again XD

About the borders.. i use a 1 px pencil tool with the color.. i just click once in the upper left edge, hold shift and press once in the upper right edge, etc. .. with shift it draws a straight line from point 1 to point 2 .. it works pretty good, fast and it doesnt has this fuzzyness as this border option o.O

I'm not sure what you mean with color in, but if you do it on a extra layer, just take the magic wand tool and you get all what is inside :)

Heh just FYI, board sig image rules are for an 80x100 image, your image is 100x something else, so technically it is bigger than what is allowed.

Don't feel that way; we merely focused on different portions of the pictures (that and I had too much fun with stroking~ XD)

I originally wanted to include her little hands and back (and whatever she's eating) like you did, but I felt the result doesn't look as good after adjusting the size and contrast...so I worked with just her face. :o

As for the sig pic, believe it or not, I actually paid more attention to the beautiful background than her sexy body when I first saw it (gawd, what's wrong with me?! true sign of lolicon... >_<), so I decided to balance the two.

Besides, I saw the little tower and was immediately reminded of his screenname...I just had to point it out. XD

PNG's main advantage over GIF and JPEG is it's alpha channels (for variable levels of transparency) which some browsers refuse to support *cough* IE *cough*. Most of the time it has better compression than GIF but I've seen many instances where it's much bulkier, and even lower quality when dealing with non-complex graphics like anime etc

to make the actual fonts themselves.. it requires a different program such as fontographer etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think most people here make their own fonts. You should check out http://dafont.com.

If you mean how they dress up the fonts, there are many things you can do. Use the outer/inner glow, drop shadow, bevel etc on the layers menu. You can also ctrl-click the layer and fill it with some abstract image of some sort for a cool texture :)

The sigg looks really hot (Pun throughly intended). The only fault is the word font though, not that i don't appreciate your taste but...yeah, i'll blame personal preference. It'd be great if it were changed though

The sigg looks really hot (Pun throughly intended). The only fault is the word font though, not that i don't appreciate your taste but...yeah, i'll blame personal preference. It'd be great if it were changed though
Yah, I hate the choppy font, too...transparency didn't look that good. I think I temporarily lost my creative aesthetics mojo back there! :heh:

to make the actual fonts themselves.. it requires a different program such as fontographer etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think most people here make their own fonts. You should check out http://dafont.com.

If you mean how they dress up the fonts, there are many things you can do. Use the outer/inner glow, drop shadow, bevel etc on the layers menu. You can also ctrl-click the layer and fill it with some abstract image of some sort for a cool texture :)

Many people suggests it and it does work pretty great.
Although since my post is a comparison between other Workshops.
I'd prefer PhotoShop CS, which I've used in and out.
PhotoShop CS has more reliability and is somewhat more effiecient.
So, PhotoShop CS is the way to go.

A destiny sig,your choice of character(perfealby either Athrun,Shin,Kagari,Lux). But at the top right of it i would like the name T.D.Cogline(my username that i go by now, but havent asked to have it changed yet) cuting into the sig. In like chrome letters with black out line. If you can do this i would use if for a longgggggggggggggg time. Ill use it as a base for other signature but you would get all credit.

and maybe with some kinda cool border around the entire sig except none near"T.D.Cogline" i

and "black out line"
is puting a black outline on the letters liek you see in fansubs, white leters with a blue outline,and yes in the 3d metallicish

Hello - i wana try 2 create some sigs and maybe if i have time will learn to do some avatars, i just started out - hence the quality of my own sig (click on it) - only learned 1 style so far, wil try 2 do better one when i have time - if ur interestred leave a message or pm me about what u want on ur sig, ava(maybe if i can learn how to do it). its unbeleavable how peoples can waste ther time doing a website about siggy and avatar when you can create a web about wallpapers or something usefull like bittorent search engine.

BW: those siggy have been taken from wallpapers and cuted using photoshop, how easy is that ? Create a simple rectangular calva un photoshop, open wallpaper, drag wallpaper to the rectangualr calva, insert text, and save.
