ChibiWorkshop - Image Request Thread

ChibiWorkshop is an Image Request Thread, actually, your in it. Here users can post requests for graphical works, such as Avatars and Signtures.


It works very simply and is easy to understand. Just reply to this thread with an image and some information on what you would like (see Image Hosts and Request Form below). After some time a helper will see your request and start working on it. When they are done they will post it in this thread or PM it to you (if you want it PMed, please state so in your post), you can then save it to your computer and upload it with one of the free hosts listed below.


Requests can be completed from anywhere to 5 minutes to one whole day, or even longer. It all depends on what you want and if anyone is around to do it at the time. Don't get frustrated if your request doesn't get completed right away, as everyone here is a volenteer and isn't paid for thier work. Just be greatful your getting it for free :p. If it has been longer then 1 week and your request has still not been completed then you are alowed to post it again (providing atleast a page of other requests or replies are inbetween your former request and this one).


Nothing! That's right it costs nothing for our work, we offer it all for free. Artists may ask for cookies, but that's about it! All we ask of you is to be patient and grateful to our volenteers who offer their services for free.


-Asking for graphics that contain "below-the-bellybutton" nudity, hardcore sexual themes, hardcore violence or hardcore grusome images (such as little children being ripped apart).

-Asking for your request to be sent to you in a layered format (psp for example), this rule is to prevent theft, but of course if the helper says its ok, then it will be allowed.

-Flaming helpers and/or requesters without a very good reason.

Dimensions: ex-(100x100)or(500x100) [1st is width, 2nd is height - in pixels]
Main Color: ex-(crimson red)or(#FFFFFF) [Hex codes would help for exact color match]
Image: ex-(url to image)or(direct image post) [we require you to find an image]
Text: [font size/color/type/what you want it to say]
Format: ex-(.bmp)or(.jpg) [we do not give out layered formats in order to prevent theft]
Other: [list any other specifications you would like]

I messed with your avatar for a bit and this is what I came up with. It's alright, but not great. I think one of the reasons it seems lame to you is because the image you started with isn't the greatest image to begin with. Just taking a look at the image and the levels you can see it's all a neutral gray. Anyway, all I did was tweak ,the levels a bit, removed the background, tweaked the color balance a bit, the saturation of cyan (because there is way too much there to be healthy), and stroked a border around it. Looks a bit spiffier I hope. :)

Okay Workshop guys, I have a request for anybody who's up to it.

I want an avatar that's 50x50 pixels, and it must look good! The source image for it should be from Inuyasha or any Takahashi anime/manga (including Maison Ikkoku, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma, or One Pound Gospel, but not Alice in Wonderland).

The line should be behind Brandon's face not in front of it, but I wasn't shooting for anything nice here, just a basic layout to let you know what I had in mind. It looks horrible, but oh well. Any background ideas you have would be great, or anything you think would make it look good. Improvise.

Well, I only wanted my name on the Avatar. The logo was all I wanted text-wise on the sig.

It'll probably look better without the bullseye anyway, it was just something I threw in as an idea.

I think the way you have it there is nice, and I like the background. If you could stretch the image out a bit more to about the length of my current sig pic, I think the logo would fit in that empty space between the two, but I'd also say leave just a bit of it covered up by Harry, as it gives it some dimension. Either that or shrink Brandon down a bit. Another idea for the logo might be to try just the letter "G" or two "G"s, with one reversed, and see how it looks. Or, you could remove Brandon from the picture altogether and then just enlarge the logo and scoot it over.

Arrghh... I wish I had something to work with images besides paint (which isn't bad, it just takes forever to do anything worthwhile) so then I wouldn't have to feel like I was bothering anybody. Anyway, I really do appreciate your help. Thanks.

Now... Think. The picture was 400 pixels width itself, with those black border thingies. The only ways to make the image bigger in width is to either add more black on the sides, or try to enlarge the picture. First one isn't good because it has really a lot o black on the sides already. The second way isn't good either, because the picture will lose in quality then.

Your best bet is a combo composed by VirtualDUB, Photoshop 7/CS and MSPaint (thats right).

With VDUB you will be able to catch the frame you want, PSCS for the obvious editing and MSP for the borders.

You can post stuff and get some feedback, sure, but I do not want this thread to become full of ratings.

The etc. actually means, that we make avatars, signatures and other stuff such as layouts and banners.

PCart is fine, as long as people don't fill this thread with request for ratings.

All I mean t from that statement was please do
not turn this into a rating thread, one or three ratings is fine.

Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, New image, Ctrl+V, Click with the magic wand on the white and click Canc.

Edit: apparently jpeg does not support transparency, so I changed to gif format. Is that OK?

it's going much slower than in animation shop, & changing the framerate doesn't appear to affect things.... maybe it's just IE...

I was wondering if someone could make me some signatures. I am really bad with this stuff :sad:

I'd like a signature with the girl on the bottom, the one with the cat PJ's. I'd like the words Kera-chan on it.

I'd also like a second signature *if possible, no demands here, just a simple request feel free to ignore it :)* but I'd imagine due to the picture being more 'vertical' than horizonal, would make it harder to make. But if it is possible I'd like one with the following picture:

if it's not too much trouble, can you like... do one without the grid, cuz it sort of made the sig look a little shadowy, and i like shiny, shining stuff.
