How about a thread for school rumble games for both PS2 and PSP? I'm having a trouble at times finding the right endings or images to be out on the extras gallery, because i can't read most of japanese kanji's. XD

I didn't know there's one for PSP as well--how does it match up to the PS2 one? Is it a port or a different game? I'm not familiar with the power of the PSP--is it equal to PS1? I know DS is said to be between PS and N64.

PSP is equal or even superior to the ps2.I looked it up and you're right, I didn't realize that. It is said to approach PS2 in power. What a powerful little device, though battery life must be like GameGear, the tragic flaw of that system. Makes me wonder if I should get one? Any other anime games on PSP? Btw what is the SR game all about? Dating sim, like ep(13?) ? hehe

Hahaha, Interesting turn of events. But isn't the game a dating sim for our Harima? XD. If so, then we would see all kinds of factions to arise! We might even see a Harima x Rinko if the game went crazy enough. Hahaha :heh:

Yeah in dating sim feelings can go any which way. Choose your destiny type of thing. Still shocking to see Akira smiling though and not behind a closed door this time, although it's such a small smile.

I've finished the game with Tenma,Harima and Yakumo and I got the HAREMA ending. Now I'm playing Eri-Ojo-san. Damn I'm stuck!! Any one can help me out what choices to pic where Eri gets locked up with Mikoto?

I've noticed that Yakumo's feelings are a bit higher when you start the new game she's 2nd to the highest when using Harima. 3rd is Eri.

That looks fun, I'd like to play. How do you play with the Japanese writing though? Do they often translate games like this? How many are available? Worth investing in a system for? I'm totally clueless about all of this. I wanted to play Shuffle, but it seemed to be only available in Japanese. I want to get a Wii later, but I don't know if it will do games like this.

+how's the longevity/replayability for this game and games like this? I don't know exactly how to define "games like this"...I'm just using the phrase loosely in hopes it will be understood

I play game the ennie,meenie,minnie, moe way :heh: As for the choices, if I make the wrong choice I mark the wrong ones and re-load save game. Then pick the right ones. As far as I know there are 3 games of SR 2 for the PS2 and 1 for the PSP. Shuffle I think is for PC and it's H. :p

Well Harima has 4 endings. I got Yakumo's, Eri's and the Harema with all the main girls end, but I think there is no Hanai endding.

you'll be waiting a long long long time, as in never. Date Sims from japan never gets released in america. The best you can hope for, is to import it and find a english guide or learn some japanese.

How do you win the rumble mahjong mini game anway :confused:

The Mahjong game is the paring 3 dice of the same character namely 3 same characters example. 3 dice harima 3 dice Yakumo 3 dice Eri. There are also points if you match them like Harima3x Eri3x Yakumo3x dice, its the Flag, Onigiri and KidsMeal that will rack up your opponents points by 700 points!!

And its pure luck to get the character you need the green shadow means anykind of character. Hope this little gametip help. :)

Try using this 1423 or 1230 go with Imadori when Mikoto falls over Eri, choose the first option 2 times and they will open the cell door and find Arkira waiting for them, then off to episode 5. Choose your character.

I get what you mean, the spoilers do look a little disappointing, but you get the feeling something good had happened nonetheless.

The game looks like an interactive version of School Rumble anime, which can be a good thing in the sense that it'll easily appeal to the fans. However, I was hoping it would be an "alternative universe" where Harima can have a romantic ending with the other girls. For example, I believe Onigiri faction is very unlikely in the anime, but the game could allow such a possibility for Onigiri fans.

Ohhh BTW the mhajong game is the first school rumble game. The second game released on PS2 does'nt have a mhajong game. Sad to say, but you can listen to the music and otakes of the characters.

Eri enters the mansion, she's alone when she sees Harima and Yakumo talking, the say weird things "anata no koto" etc... things you can say when you declare your love. When Eri hears that, she runs away and enters a room, then something cold touches her. She's frightened and calls for help "Tasuketeee ! i... ima, dareka no tsumetai yubi ga...... " (http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/7438/s4az2.jpg) = "Heeelp, someone's cold finger just..." then Harima arrives and Eri finds herself in his arms. :D

I think it's very balanced amongs the girls images when they come out.
Seems that the hardest route to find here is Karen's and the easiest is Flag and Onigiri...no Kids Meal?!! :heh:

An English patch is unlikely to be released, though if a PC version is made available, then most probably fans can make an English patch for it. In any case, I would really like to have this game, but now I have to take my Nihongo seriously, selfstudy and all.:)

Just pick what you need to pick to make a flag or a cutscene. The rolling option though is a bane whenever you want to do something. aghhh...

The psp version has more to offer than the PS2 SRpart1 game. SRPart2 game is much better.
