she's kawaii, especially when she's shy.

correction: she is "moe~." Especially since her voice is done by Yukana.

Isn't there a difference between the definition of kawaii and 'moe~'?

Somewhat yes and somewhat no. It's hard to explain...

The Japanese online dictionary, goo (http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%CB%A8%A4%A8&kind=jn) defines "moe" as:

もえ 【萌え】

ある人物やものに対して,深い思い込みを抱くようす。その対象は実在するものだけでなく,
アニメーションのキャラクターなど空想上のものにもおよぶ。
アニメ愛好家の一部が,NHK のアニメーション「恐竜惑星」のヒロイン「鷺沢萌」に対して抱く,
ロリータ-コンプレックスの感情に始まるといわれるが,その語源にも諸説ある

English translation:

Moe [moe]

To incite strong emotional feelings toward a certain character or thing. Not limited to actual physical things, but evolves more into animated characters and other imaginary objects. If one asks an extreme anime lover, they would say the origins of "moe" stems from the lolita complex incited from the the heroine from the 1993 NHK series anime, "Kyouryuu Wakusei" (Planet of Dinosaurs), Sagisawa Moe.

I think Chidori is way better in all respects too. (Gee she has a personality!) Everytime I hear Tessa's voice I want to strangle her and watch something else instead. Ugh, she IS SO ANNOYING!!! The whole series just tries too hard to make her cute.

Though I'll admit, she has nicer hair than Chidori when she doesn't put it up. But that's all I'll admit.

Ah! So when M.O.E. named their studio "Master of Entertainment" they had a double meaning intended? Clever!

I believe in simpler terms:
kawaii=cute
moe=cute+innocent
