Hello everyone!:D So, I'm (obviously) new here although I've been watching this forum for some time now... Well, just a formal introduction - I'm Shadow Usagi (call me Usagi), I like, well, basically everything that's talked about in this forum, especially anime. Anime is really unpopular in my god-forsaken country, so downloading is my only chance to see something ^^;; Umm, out of all, I like Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni the best.

I'm Angel, I'm a crazy/hyper soon to be 18 year old girl. I love to write stories. I'm doing pratice stories till I write a real one between my two characters Angel and Christie. Angel is modled after me that's why I call myself Angel. I love watching Anime. I'm watching Black Lagoon, Negima, and Kodoca right now. I'm also reading(maga wise) Read or Die and Read or Dream right now. Next year I'm going to an Anime Expo and I'm dressing up like Carmelita Fox from the Sly Cooper games. BUT!!!! i've watchedalot so far.. .well what ithink is alot... i'm well over 125 full series watched.... most probably closer to 200 actually... but i stopped counting after 125 ;p all i know is i've filled over 110 dvds since....

Oh and I really like Kairin, so a big thumbs up goes out to Kiva128 and all her hard work into making Kairin one of the BEST looking anime characters out there, and of course, the best SOLO work there is out there.

By the way, could anyone explain to me what the different honorifics (I think that is right word) that are after people's names like Kairin-chan, Kiva-san, etc mean? Because I don't want to insult anyone accidentally due to my...inexperience with the meanings.

Hello, my name is symbolguru. At least, that's what I'd like to be called. Also acceptable is Siddhartha Gautama. Mostly, I've got the answers to most symbology questions (you wouldn't believe how many times symbolism is used in anime!) and even some very trivial things that most people don't know. You'll have to give me details to the anime, since I live in America (good ol' U S of A) and we're a little behind... Luckily, I also have the Internet. Neji is my favorite character of Naruto, and just so everyone knows, most of the ninja on Naruto are using real kung fu or wu shu styles (Neji's is called Yin Fu Baguazhang, a relatively new style of applying I Ching ideas to certain kung fus, in this case tiger style). My favorite book is not anime at all, it's called "Battle Royale". Maybe you've heard of it. If you haven't, :bash: . That's all that needs be said. Bye, sayonara, adios!

I don't read that much manga, the only 2 series i've been keeping up with are Negima and Bleach, and since Bleach started airing over here on [adult swim] the manga has become a pain to find =/. Well, I guess that's all for now, I can't think of anything else.

So... after lurking around this forum for months as I downloaded masses of files from the main site (during which time my picture archive grew phenomenally as well from the image threads), I decided to finally go ahead and register. At first I wasn't sure that there would even be any point, but after visiting my other forums and comparing, this is about the only place where I can express my interests in anime and manga and people know what in the world I'm talking about and give an intelligent reply. :heh:

Another reason I decided to join was because it is due to the posts of several of the members here that I watch some of the things I do now. Because of a scene in Kanon and the comments on it, I downloaded and loved Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and on a recommendation to someone else on the forum that I read started to watch Asatte no Houkou, and the list just continues on from there until we hit about 110 gigs of hard drive space. Thanks. :p

So... let's see. Most of the stuff I believe is listed in my profile, but those lazy, I am Alexandrite, named after my birthstone and subsequently many characters used in online games. Given that I'm on this site in the first place, I'd say my love of anime and manga is clear. It also happens to spread in many directions, much to the bewilderment of my friends, who do not understand how one could like cute things like Nanoha, Rozen Maiden, and Chobits as well as darker material like Death Note, Jigoku Shoujo, and Angel Sanctuary. But oh well - my widespread tastes are the key to my insanity, and I enjoy it.

Well, that's enough about me. I truly hope this is not one of the longest intro posts ever, but I just kinda went on a roll with it. See you all around the forums then, I suppose.

(Last bit - sig is a combination of my first step into a wider world - Air - and lyrics from one of my favorite bands, Kamelot. Cheers.)

im a big anime fan and gamer...started out with Jedi Outcast n Jedi Academy and have move on n on...mostly on the pc side.
didnt really watch much anime other than DB on Tsunami on Cartoon Network....then met a friend in Sweden who watched alot of anime.
she showed me Bleach, Oh MY Goddess, Trinity Blood, Blood, all the Gundams, many many others.
another friend in Denmark got me hooked on Hellsing ..hehe..
i found Death Note on my own....it rockes ...or rocks :P

but when im not watching anime or playing on my laptop im working....phew...wish i was back in school...no more summer vacations for me...unless i fall n break something....hmm..there's an idea :O

oh..i should say i live in USA too....central time zone...GMT-6 for the European peeps :)

As you can see, I liked strawberries a lot. I joined a while back, but didn't have any time to make an introduction of myself until today. My location is Florida, United States and my age is 21 (going on 22 on July 18). I have a tense to type fast that I can cause some errors on my words- just a simple note. ^^ I admit that I can make mistakes - other things on my mind. The reason I joined Animesuki is because I find this forum a good discussion for anime and I hope to do my best following the rules at Animesuki.

My favorite anime shows are currently airing in Japan now- Seto no Hanayome, Nagasarete Airantou, Hayate no Gotoku and Lovely Complex. I'm always willing to check out new anime shows.

I am new to the Animesuki forums, though I wouldn't say that I am new to the site. I really like this place, and the site has allowed me to watch a number of really good shows. For that I am quite thankful.

I first started watching anime around 1994 (unless you count watching Voltron in 1986 or somewhere around there) or so... I used to watch stuff on the Sci-Fi channel during the summer (had to stay up until midnight to catch movies/shows). It was fun most of the time. I started watching more often when I was in high school... as some of my friends were in/started an anime club. We typically watched stuff like Ranma, Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi. This is where I saw Bastard!! for the first time (now I own it). Good stuff, silly a lot of the time, but no complaints. I have many different series/movies now, whole binder full of stuff, and I still manage to follow a fansub or three.

What else can I say as an intro? I like Sci-Fi, Fatasy, and Horror genres the most. This is convenient since I have noticed that there are a lot of Sci-Fi titles. I am open to recommendations via PM is anyone would be kind enough to suggest titles.

Meh... I'm a dork. :heh:

Hmm I can't say I'm really new because I've been a member since 2004. But I haven't been here for such a long time due to all sorts of stuff. So I guess I'll introduce myself again. I'm Kelly aka Sparkie. I fell in love with Rurouni Kenshin when I was little and I've been a fan of anime ever since. Every year I go to Asia and buy lots of manga ^^ Fortunately anime is getting more popular over here, so it gets cheaper to buy (before it was really expensive) and it's easier to find dvd's. I came back here to find more anime to watch, because I'm out of new, fun series. Currently I'm watching one of my favourite show again (FMA).

But this is getting a bit too long and boring. Anyways see you guys around ^^

But i remember gettin the shishio and amakusa videos when i was younger and being obsessed with them. sadly amakusa kinda changed my views on life which is weird (dont even get me started on how i watched sensui from yyh that really messed my views on life ><). Yeah, I'm an oldie at 32, but to show you all younglings that even at this age you can still be a loser anime lover, here I am.

If anyone is old enough and into Adachi Mitsuru, I was the first "H2" online manga translator back in 95-97. I used to stop by Kinokuniya and read the weekly shonen and translate on the spot.

Anyhow, last thing I translated was "Emma" (well, script checking) from episode 3 on with iichan/iitran because I loved that show and I saw a few wrong translations and I wanted to make EMMA better so my friends could enjoy it too. (without me intervening and saying "that's not what she said...")

I'm here because I saw that EMMA ACT 2 was out and was trying to find a subbing group that needs a translator for EMMA 2, as I can't seem to find iichan/iitran online anymore =(

Other than that I guess I could do some script checking on the side, but I would love to start up on EMMA ACT 2.

Also fluent in Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese so I could work on those too if need be... but unlikely.

EDIT: One thing I hate is when 95% of the subbers translate "suki" into "love" instead of "like". Whether culturally or literally, "suki" is NOT "love" ... "ai" is "love" when asked of why it is done, someone mentioned "because it has always been translated like that and we don't want to confuse the audience now" ... I just don't get following tradition for the sake of following tradition (even when wrong). yes, this little insignificant thing has been bothering me since the Ranma/Dragon Ball/Kimagure Orange Road days... lol

For example "animesuki" is probably a backword translation of "Anime Love" so it should be "Animeai".. well too late now.

Welcome Xtain-chan.. if you're a translator then please delete all your pms and move your self to the Fansub Group section.. you should have 100groups near you in seconds. Don't forget to put on your shiny fansub armor.. those people are vicious.

Hello all members and staff at animesuki forum!

I'm a new here... my (net) name is "Furuno" (written with kanji "Furu (to fall)" and "Mono (thing)" but i'm too lazy to write it hahahaha....).

Age currently 17. Homeland Indonesia, but i think i'll go to Japan next year to attend college there. Most favourite anime genre is bishoujo, romance, drama, mecha, action, and almost everything.

Interest other than anime is computer. Currently possessing several programming skills such as Pascal, C, Basic, Java, (x)HTML, ASP, PHP, and SQL. My PC using self-modified slackware(slamd64) for anime usage :D , i called it animeNUX, currently still in beta phase. Hope can release it someday haha...

Most favourite momonet is downloading at over 100kbps. Most hated thing is Windows's bluescreen.

I'm HiMalaya, and I'm from northern Finland. I've been into anime&manga things for about 4 years now, but recently I've gaught interest in other things. Still decided to join, to discuss about the few shows I watch.
I'm more into manga, and I read D.Gray-man and Tsubasa. From anime, I currently watch Romeo x Juliet and Darker Than BLACK. I also try to watch Code Geass when I feel so, currently I'm in the episode 6. The laptop I use to watch those episodes is currently broken, so I'm falling a bit behind D:
My all time favourite anime show must be Honey & Clover ;D Ouran High School and Suzumiya Haruhi weren't that bad either.
What else? Well, nothing much anime-related. I watch lot of TV and love airplanes.
So, nice to meet you all. In Finnish that would be Hauska tavata.

(and I'm gonna change my avatar into some more anime-ish when I get a new comp and I can do one by myself :O)

Hello everyone, My name is Leon Kudohimi. (Not my real name though...heh) I found this forum out of the blue one day and decided to join it.

I'm american and I'm trying my best to learn japanese but I'm having some difficulty. I enjoy all aspects of anime and manga. I'm a guy in case you're wondering and I'm also what some people would call...bipolar...as I often go from being happy-go-lucky one second to being either depressed, angry, or bored the next.

First of all, I think I had another account awhile ago but I forgot the name and after the server crash I just decided to make a new one. I'm a 16-year old boy with already a large list with completed anime and an even larger one with anime I still want to see :heh: I've placed my debts on the new Sola en Kaze no Stigma series, so that's where you'll find me around.
