Hello all, you might recognize my name if you've ever been on the Cerberus server in FFXI but to everyone else, just call me Kyo. I joined the forums today because mainly, I wanna be here for the sake of when CLANNAD starts up, plus I've been wanting to join a forum actively talking about airing in japan series... You have no idea how many stares of confusion I've gotten mentioning the series Higurashi. ~_~

A few things about myself>
21 years old german student, working atm in Tokyo (Roppongi) on business purposes.
I am into anime's since I can remember, unfortunately I was ruined with german-translated-and-cutted-like-hell stuff in the beginning ;)
Nowadays I just watch subbed jap. originals, learning japanease languange in the meanwhile with books, lessons and ofc animes to be able to watch the raws soon.

I like anime bcause it tells stories that you can't otherwise, and because it's drawn, you can choose to be as involved as you feel comfortable with it; which is something you're not afforded as much in live-action.

Welcome, anyway I researched into Bokura ga ita and currently only the scanlator group perfectillusions are working on volume 4 of 10. It's going to be a while until they get the manga series fully translated. It may take about 2 years until they are finished with all 10 volumes if all goes well. Anyway here is a link.

Part of our secret to having less fail than most other anime forums is that we work really hard to keep out bad posting. This means we deep-six a lot of threads for lacking value, we delete spoilers and trolling with a passion and we even forbid "forum games" for an excess of fail. I'd suggest you check the Forum Rules (http://forums.animesuki.com/faq.php?faq=rules) to find out what else we've decided causes a surpluss of fail on our forum. Though if you inject a bit of fail by accident, we'll just remove it and drop you a friendly reminder since we don't expect everyone to know it all when they're just getting used our local customs.

Currently I live in Denmark, came from Iraq, and am a proud muslim (religion: Islam) I speak danish, english, kurdish and currently learning French, but also a little bit Arabic. I don't really have any hobbies, but well, I got dreams!

Hmm I recommend Higurashi no naku Koro ni (kai). Then Hayate no Gotoku and Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (A's and StrikerS to follow). Anyway at least your back into the anime world hahaha :heh:.

Anyhoo, I've been mostly into manga for the past few years, as whenever I've fired up my TV or comp it's been to play games, leaving little time for anime. My girlfriend recently convinced me to get a Netflix account, so now we're making up for lost time with all the anime we've been missing; currently we have FLCL, Excell Saga, DNAngel, and Steel Angel Kurumi in our queue (all but the last added by her).

I signed up for these forums to get in-the-know about upcoming anime not in the US yet, along with general anime discussion. But besides getting up to date on current anime, I still want to go back and watch those great series from decades past. I kinda ticked my GF off when when I added the entire Urusei Yatsura TV series to the Netflix queque, hopefully she'll change her tune when we start watching them together, and she sees what a wacky, funny series this is, with a style completely unlike today's anime. I'm thinking she will; we just got done watching Puni Puni Poemi, and she seemed to like that.

Hey, I'm Bonny, I mainly joined this forum because of that massive thread on Simoun which absolutely blew my mind and which I felt I needed to contribute my own thoughts to. That's about it, really.

I've been watching anime since I was about 8, starting with Pokemon on the WB (yeaaaaaaah!) and now I'm 17, so that makes it 11 years of anime and manga. My favorite anime series used to be Noir and probably still will be Noir, even after Simoun, (if my favorite anime became Simoun I'd probably dissatisfied for the rest of my life) my favorite manga is Chobits; it's also the only series in which I own every single volume.

Let's see, what else? I play a lot of video games, currently am re-playing Guitar Hero II while waiting for Guitar Hero III, as well as beating Halo 3 on Heroic. I listen to lots of "indie" music and heavy rock; my favorite bands are Broken Social Scene, Muse, and Interpol. I hope to learn Japanese one day.

This is a simple standard vBulletin forum.

What can be said. The front end of was desinged for Internet Explorer, and hasn't changed much since it was originally concieved (some time before FireFox even existed) other then a few color tweaks perhaps. The back end is a good CMS and hence it's popularity.

I pointed out some (probably) less obvious features in a post a few pages back (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=1057997&postcount=4125). But other then those there's nothing more to what you see, sorry. :)

Well...I'm sort of new to this forum (joined a few days ago), even though there have been times where I browsed through some discussions some half year ago. I joined mainly because I wanted to discuss Gundam00, since none of my friends watch Gundam as of the moment (or better yet, they don't watch Gundam even though I keep telling them how deliciously misleading the premature character relations can be for 00)...I'm probably the only helpless procrastinator at a dire year for my college entrance exams/scholastic exams/whatever they call that here, and worse, my Chinese sucks so I'm essentially at a great disadvantage and thus I am really not supposed to be procrastinating when I should be studying my a$$ off like a mad-student (sorry for the run-on sentence). What can I say? Watching explosions and pretty characters designed by a well-known BL mangaka as well as mecha action sound like a good way to stave off stress. Oh yeah, on a side note, I am somewhat of a rabid yaoi fangirl, so please excuse my uncontrollable fantasies whenever I post on the forums (they don't work for every anime I watch (i.e. Code Geass etc), I assure you...but since I'm only interested in discussing Gundam 00 these days...:heh: Blame the producers for hiring a BL mangaka as their character designer and also making the dialogs/expressions so misleading.)

Anime: Code Geass, Seirei no Moribito, GitS:SAC, Ergo Proxy, HxH...etc.
Manga: X(/1999), MPD Psycho, GOTH, Angel Sanctuary, Count Cain, TRC, etc.
I tend to have a preference to bloody/high-tech/action-packed/pessimistic things.

Native English speakers (surfing the net) seem to like butchering it more then anyone else, so there's not much concern regarding your grammatical skills.

Generally speaking there's more to grammar then writing so having only writen words you automatically get a bonus. For the most part however it's not grammar you should look out for but the parts in your post that convey the messege. (there's a difference betwean bad grammar and just simply being ilogical)

Hi AnimeSuki, I'm finally getting around to "being" amongst many of the other avid anime otaku. Avidly, I like long hours of playing solitare, pretending I like school, and rushing over to AnimeSuki for episode releases and such. I've pretty much stayed "in the dark" up until now. Secretly clicking the links from the shadows! Fortunately, no one has traced any of the terrified victims back to me yet. Oh wait..

I may not end up socializing on the forums a lot and getting to know much of you better than I do now, but I will be looking out for anything that catches my eye and makes me want to add to a topic.
