Quality forum. I was looking for a board all about anime so I could read what people with similar interests think. I don't think anime is a very big thing in Britain, because the main names still seem to be Disney/Pixar and Marvel. Maybe DC comics too. I think anime whups the arse of all those though. IMO it is THE great art movement of the early 21st century! Who says golden eras have to be a part of history?

Seto no Hanayome, Ichigo 100%, D.Gray-Man, Shakugan no Shana Second, just started "Monster" and I'm eventually gonna watch some like Tsubasa Chronicles (I started but I never finished) Shaman King, Negima!? (I watched Mahou Sensei Negima and I really want to see what Negima!? is like even if it is the same story from a different view) I heard Love Hina was really hilarious from a few people so I guess I'll watch that eventually too ah and I think The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is pretty funny as, ah a friend also referred 'Get Backers' so I'll get to that eventually ah I'm also planning on watching Death Note. Hiya all, I'm Advocat. Well, actually my name is Christoph but Advocat sounds better, so we'll ignore my real name. I just turned 22 and live in Austria, where I study Law and History. I love listening to music, any will do as long as I find the song enjoyable, though I especially like the group Disturbed.

I enjoy RPGing, creating characters for RPGs, reading, writing, drawing. I watch most movies, though any romance movie will probably make me fall asleep sooner or later and disaster movies aren't worth the time as it is pretty much the same to me. Try to stop/survive the disaster and then rebuild the city/cities. Boring.

Anyway, rpg video games are my favorite but I also love playing beat'em-up and strategy games. I'm not very good with shooters though.

Of course I love anime too (otherwise it would be stupid to join this forum, no? =D). Right now I only watch the Nanoha Series, Night Wizard, Silent Möbius and Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water.

Well, I have a lot of free time now, since I skipped senior high and am now in college (lol hax), so I've been watching way more anime.

Oh yeah, I'm also into computer games, kenjutsu, kendo, and reptiles - I have a pet ball python and African bullfrog. I've taken kenjutsu for 3+ years and am going to learn kendo starting January. You can get an avat in User CP > Change Avatar > You get a bunch of series that has avatars. If the series you want isn't here, then request it at Anime Avatar Request thread [READ GUIDELINES] (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=48972) ^_^

well figured I'd better post here!
I decided to try a different forum in one of my other interests (seeing as lately the others have gone to the dogs...)
I'm an apprentice aircraft maintance engneer and a aircraft engine overhauler and component repair technition, been watching anime for say the past 3 years and been to japan once (only for 2 weeks tho :( ), and pretty well into drifting and circuit racing, do a tad bit of drawing and other graphic web related stuff.
used to be a big online game freak but have since given that all up

Age 22 from Croatia, a small european country where anime is still mostly unkown...
Im currently in colledge, working part time and spending my free time watching anime and tuning up my car. Hence, animesuki love comedies (School Rumble fe) and racing anime (Initial D, Wangan midnight) are my favourite genres

Im really glad to see so much people who appreciate anime for what it is (instead of ignorant masses who percive anime as "Those japanese porn cartoons") and i hope we can get along

Hello. My name is Nick. I'm nineteen, and a sophomore in college, studying psychology, music composition, and classical guitar.

I've been using anime suki for about two or maybe three years now, and I decided that it'd be fun to get involved in the forums, and I'm also hoping that this will help me learn more about animes that are just coming out and give me info about other new or old animes that I might enjoy watching. This is the place to be for english-subs of new animes from Japan. I also love clouds, and so I love how the anime suki banners all have clouds in them :]

I started watching anime when an anime shop opened in my hometown and my mom rented Totoro for my siblings and I. I was in elementary school, but I can't remember exactly how young I was. Anyway, I started getting more into anime in high school.

My favorite animes are ones that are positive/happy/make you feel peaceful or warm and fuzzy inside/etc., artistically creative, entertaining, funny, insightful, enlightening, and interesting. I also watch dark or tragic anime, but not too often. I guess I feel that darkness and tragedy are parts of life and are important to think about, but not something that I would find entertaining, enlightening, or uplifting. Of course, there are exceptions. So, I have some favorite animes listed in my profile if anyone's curious. Air is my most favorite anime ^_^.

I've been watching anime ever since I can remember. My favourite types of anime are the "mysterious" romantic and romantic types such as AIR, Kanon, REC, and Final Approach. I also adore drama such as Paranoia Agent and Welcome to the NHK.
