I like EVA too although i never really liked Nagisa Kaworu. There's a workshop around here being run by Chibidusk for avs and such but you'd have to furnish your own pics (i think)

Well I dont' have the orginal avatar. That one should actually be higher quality, seeing as I used A-E version as opposed to the Saikou version.

Oh well. I do realize that the frame rate is a bit slow. I'll have to tweak it.

Biohazard-Kun, is 'Groove Adventure Rave' liscensed? If it is not then do you know who does a fansub of it? I've heard that it's good, and I've been curious about it. Also, do you know any programs that are good for video editing, i.e. avatars. Hehe, sorry if I've been bugging you about it too much.

If it's not listed on Animesuki, it's licensed. So I guess... *urrgh* it is, perhaps. ^^;

You could check GIMP for image editing. Or Photoshop. Or PaintShopPro.

Video editing isn't used for avatar making ^^"
But for video editing: VirtualDub
or Adobe Premiere...

If you mean grafics, i can only recommend Adobe's Photoshop, i, and most of the other people, are using that one for avatars, and it works great ;)

Btw. at www.animenfo.com you can look up nearly all anime, and also see if they are licensed or not ^_^

I´m registed here two days ago, but i haven't posted in this thread.
I got interested in anime last age(sometime in the start of November) due to a friend who introduced me to it. After that i got totally possessed by it.
And due to that i finally got to this destination...animesuki :)

This is my first post ever and my first time to join any type of forum like this, so i am utterly clueless how to work this thing. I see all sorts of cool pictures and signatures...you peeps must be pro's at this. :) maybe some day i will, i wish.

I am fairly new to anime, started in September. I disconnected my cable because anime is the only thing that interests me anylonger. I had a lot of ground to cover, but I have watched a LOT of anime, so though I am "new", I am well versed in the "basics".

I prefer "cerebral" anime and adult humor, yet I give anything a try.

My faves are Saiyuki, 12 Kingdoms, Lain, Boogiepop, Samurai x Trust and Betrayal, Dog Warriors, Now and Then Here and There, and Magical Shopping Arcade.

I would appreciate conversations about Saiyuki and/or The Twelve Kingdoms very much. I especially wonder if anyone has heard about the delay in Twelve Kingdoms disk 4 release.

I'm normally not one for these threads (especially after getting rather comfortable in another community these past 2 and a half years, being a newbie and lacking in knowledge in comparission to others on a passtime is not something I'm accustomed to), but I may as well get a solitary post hanging out there so to speak. Anime is really starting become my main passtime now and, as such, I'm sending out a few tendrils to find a good community or two to settle down into. The number of anime fans in Northern Ireland being rather low the internet is inevitably where I turn to.

I'm gay, and I like shonen-ai and -some- yaoi. Moreso cutesy shonen-ai like Demon Diary, but I also like in-your-face yaoi like Fake. I like collecting cards (mostly One Piece cards, but I have a -huge- collection of X-Men cards, and a bunch of Final Fantasy: Art Museum ones) and Japanese gashapon. Whenever I view it on my PC, the frames flow perfectly but after uploading it to the internet, it seems to lag a bit.

I don't know how to fix it. I tried to configure the frame rate on each frame individually but that didn't work either.

hello and welcome. here's some advise: Don't watch dragon ball and don't become a naruto freak. try other animes (they do exist believe it or not). try one piece, FMA, and there are some titles that have been released in the US like full metal panic and GTO. don't just watch naruto and don't only post in just the naruto forums. anyways, my point is just to try new series. i understand that everyone has starting points but not moving on is just not forgivable.

If you supplement your Naruto addiction with other anime, I'm sure you'll get a better appreciation of anime overall and it will serve as a springboard to even more anime goodness (not that it's a good thing in the long run, the anime addiction, i mean :heh:)

well, the ツ should be slightly smaller than the other katakana. When i tried to pronounce the avatar kana it sounds like ERITSUKU while if the ツ is smaller it sounds like ERIKKU, as you probably now, the U almost never makes a sound in japanese. hope that clear things up

i also hope i didn't sound to cocky, like if i were some sort of expert in japanese, i can barely read a children's book!!!

i can tell where you are coming from but the "tsu" is smaller than the rest. photoshop doesn't like japanese type vertical. i know a little japanese and this is how i typed it: "エリック" yet it looks like this : "エリツク" when i type it vertical in photoshop. i believe that there is a discussion somewher that was discussing my name. we were talking about weather it should be spelled "エリック" or "イリック"

No, not really. My point on fanboy-able anime was about Naruto. I seriously doubt Naruto has fanservice (outside of Naruko, and does that even count? Naruko is a GUY!!!). Also, if by fanservice you mean, extra stuff, alot of the anime i mentioned (HnG for example) has very good fanservice (extra stuff) like the Go Go Igo of Umezawa Yukari at the end of episodes. They teach you about Go and stuff there.

My main point was in reply to the earlier post. Alot of good anime are waiting there to be watched its just a shame that all people want to watch are action anime like Naruto (again, not that there's anything bad with it. I actually like Naruto alot even FMA, the current fansub darling).

So basically, welcome to new members, watch lotsa anime, be nice in the boards and have fun :)

Would you believe that I'd just taught myself Katakana over these past two weeks or so, so it gave me a bit of a buzz to know that I could actually understand something... Pity I can't read it very fast yet - but faster reading speed will come with practice, so as long as I get plenty of that, I should be fine. However, the primary reason why I'm teaching myself is that actual taught courses (and therefore, an adequate amount of decent practice opportunities) are hard to come by where I live - and when you do find one or two, they turn out to be a bit on the expensive side... :(
