Sakura: even though se has improved in part II, she still cries way too much; she annoys me more than any character.

Sasuke I don't like either, but at least he shows some cool stuff sometimes.

And Naruto is an annoying brainless fool too, but same as Sasuke, at least he shows something sometimes.

Sometimes I do dislike Naruto. Like him intervening in Hinata´s battle with Neji in the direct way he did. But overall I like him.

I guess the only character I´ve never liked is Sakura. I don´t like people who are to stupid to think more than 4 seconds ahead of themselves. And if she´s still crying over Sasuke... *sigh*. She´s pretty egoistic (of course people do have the right to be that too) if you think about it. She´s tormenting Naruto a lot with her behavior.

Can´t say I like Sasuke that much either. I hope Itachi will "pwn" him and then Naruto comes to save the day. :D

I don't like sasuke that much (my feelings towards him goes back and forth from hate to like to pity then hate again - it varies) but I think if what happened to sasuke happened to someone in real life they probably would have turned out a lot worse.

I put kabuto. He just annoyed me from the begging for some reason, and just got more annoying as the series went on.

Sasuke does look down on naruto- he's jealous. In the wise words of of the creators of Shrek "sometimes anger is just a way of hiding how sad you are". People who are stronger than him threatens his reason to exist (becoming powerful to defeat brother), which if he lost would make his life meaningless. It's obvious to anyone though that he cares about naruto.

Where does it say that sasuke thinks he has the most painful past? Besides, almost everyone in naruto thought their life was the worse in the begginging - remember neji's fate crap, etc.

If there's anyone who was emo it was Gaara. At least sasuke didn't try to hurt others just because he was in pain - to me that's a lot worse. Sasuke just kept to himself. It's funny because I think even if Gaara had never changed people still wouldn't hate him as much as they do sasuke. I guess sasuke is not a very likeable person, LOL. Or maybe Gaara's just too cool to hate (i'm guilty of this via neji at the beggining :heh:). The only reason I hated sasuke is because of the sasuke retreival arc. Now i'm back to being neutral. I haven't read the Manga though.

If he was a real life person then what he does would make sense to me. He would have all types of problems: post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment issues, trust issues, deppression. He may have low self esteem and not think he is cabable of acheiving anything else in life but killing his brother. He may not think that he is capable of having freinds. He also may be afraid of loosing/hurting his friends if he makes any (because of what happened to his family) and this may partially explain his abandonment of naruto. He may also be afraid of being betrayed. I'd imagine he'd be pretty jaded and suspicious of people in general, thus one of the reasons he's a loner (he did have a person he admire turn out to be an evil SOB).

It is just hard to judge what his motivations are since he is a cartoon.


Actually, If you think about it Gaara reacted the EXACT same way as sasuke. If you remember - his mother gave him his name and told him that he should live only for himself. And that is EXACTLY what he did. He even killed other people over it (very bad). Itachi told sasuke he should live only to kill him, and that is EXACTLY what he is doing. The thing is Gaara doesn't have his mother alive and taunting him. And as of where the show is now it's not known how healthy Gaara is, just that he's not a maniacal killer anymore.

Sasuke is central to the naruto storyline, he's a neccessary evil. Think of what the show is about. People starting out thinking there's no hope in life, then naruto comes along, and inspires them. That's the answer to the question of why naruto never changes. The show is about him changing others for the better because of the way he faces lifes challenges. The are all aproaching the ideal that is naruto. If you think about it, there is a little of sasuke in all the other emo characters that were changed, even minor ones like chouji and shikamaru. The only person that is left to change is sasuke.

Apparently most of the peopel that watch/read Naruto would just like to stick to fillers cause as sad as it is, Sasuke is a major driving point for the plot. (not that I dislike Sasuke, I voted Naruto actually).

i don't think we should compare them actually.. it is more understandable also that gaara became like he is..i mean hated by everybody? the one friend he thought he had also tried to kill him (that guy he sucked on the finger).. meanwhile sasuke got his entire clan killed only.. its like taking of a plaster (band aid). what hurts the most, to take it of quickly or slow?? i would say slow.. and that represents gaaras upbringing. meanwhile sasukes upbringing was good until the day his band aid got pulled of quickly..

I don't want to extol Naruto's good points or anything, since he is definitely not one of my favorite Naruto characters (especially post-timeskip), but you have to hand it to him that he has taken the pain and lonliness from his past and transformed it into a motivation to make positive changes to his village and be the best he can be. Really, he's pretty much the antithesis of emo, placing others before himself, persevering despite all the setbacks, usually carrying himself in a cheerful manner...yeah.

Least favorite character... well the only character i can say i hate is kohonhamaru and his little friends, those kids are just so damn annoying... after those annoyances, though i don't really hate them, i'd probably just go with chouji and perhaps ten-ten and kiba... i don't find anything that interesting about their characters, and their characters just seems to offer the least amount to the series... i mean, that last part could apply to a few others aswell, but i find some interest in those characters... grant it though, i would want some like tenten to have more importance, female ninjas don't get enough screen time in naruto =P

I knew that. And thank you for pointing that out. The thing is, I really don't give a damn about Sakura's skills and how ideal of a student she may be for someone like Tsunade. Even though that seems to be all that matters in the end, my only real complaint is that her entire reason & motivation for wanting to get stronger and to be trained directly by the Hokage isn't really good enough IMO. Both Sasuke and Naruto have multiple very clear obvious and plausible reasons of why they should be getting training directly under ninja's of kage lvl compared to Sakura.

To be honest, I would'nt care if Tsunade didn't train anyone at all. Keep in mind, I'm not a manga reader. So I don't know exactly how much she's improved post time skip. Who knows? Maybe my views of her will completely change after the anime catches up. Case in point, I'm mad at the reasons of which she decides to get stronger. And as a result, I can't help but dislike Tsunade for accepting those reasons.

Sasuke also had people who cared about him (Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura, Ino, etc.), but he severed those bonds in trying to become more powerful. Gaara and Sasuke are similar in that they were both betrayed by a family member, but Gaara made a change in his reason for existing while Sasuke hasn't.

For the record, I find Sakura most annoying at least in part 1. All she does is call out peoples names "Naruto!" "Sasuke!" while holding onto a kunai and crying.

Sai. Everything about this character is lame. From his character design to his personality. He seems to based somewhat on Ichimaru from Bleach (always smiling, questionable loyalty), but is nowhere near as cool. He fluctuates between stoic and awkward to sappy and over sentimental "I drew a picture of me and my dead brother. Look, we're holding hands and smiling! Yay!". I had hope for him as a double agent, but it's seeming that he's just a tacked on addition to show Naruto's ability to change people.

Yes, Sasuke was intially what you'd call a "Mary Sue" character. He seemed to be perfect. He had all the best moves, the cool bloodline, the best plans and all the girls loved him. But this was done to build him up as Naruto's rival. Because most of us can identify with holding a grudge against "the big man on campus" at one time or another, Sasuke made Naruto easier to root for and his victories more triumphant. I mean how great was it to see Sasuke get a slice of humble pie when Naruto defeated Gaara when he sat there helpless or when he saw how much damage the Rasengan could do. Of course, being Naruto's rival, Sasuke always manages to surpass Naruto again and most likely he will continure to do so until their final battle. That's what his character was meant to do and he does it well. In fact, he does it too well, because now many fans truly hate him!

But I think there is a great balance to Sasuke's character. People so often overlook the fact that his entire clan was murdered by his brother. I think his behavior (while annoying) is very natural for a kid in his situation. Yeah, he gets the admiration of all the kids at the academy, but he doesn't get to enjoy it because he's obsessed by revenge. He's also very insecure about his inferiority to his brother and it torments him. Unlike real emo kids, Sasuke isn't trying to gain attention through appearing to be depressed, but geniunely is troubled by his past. And this isn't fanboyism speaking, I just think his character deserves some credit.

Hey. I know people in real life with a worse history than the fictional Sasuke. And they grew uo right ... they aren't anal like him, and they are doing the right things with their lives.

Sasuke is just an emo loser. I used to like the guy ... but that peaked when he his jealousy got the best of him and he ran away to get stronger. Every time Ive seen him since then, Ive fantasized about shooting Kish for even drawing such a loser.

While I can understand Sasuke I still don't like him. I'm not going to bother trying to measure on some sort of pain scale the difference between. 1. Being alone and having people hate you (Naruto), 2. Being alone and having people hate you and try to kill you (Gaara), 3. Having a family and having them killed by your brother.

Clearly it's all bad. I didn't have a bad opinion of Sasuke for most of the show. Sure he was an ass at times but he wasn't my most hated character. But that opinion started dropping off with the betrayal and pretty much turning his back on everyone who wanted to help him. I can understand wanting revenge, but the lengths he will go to in order to get that revenge just made me dislike him. Wish I was better able to put down my reasons for disliking Sasuke. But there you have it.

Tenten is not really a pointless character...
Tenten actually is a beneficial character in the episode of Ranmaru. She helps the abandoned little boy from pretty much dying and stops him from killing himself. In the bird country she is very helpful fighting the "ghost with Neji. Neji is like her leader and she just assists him most of the time.



But Konohamaru and Ino on the other hand are quite pointless. Konohamaru in the beginning brags of his old grand-pappy then the old man dies....that's great! But Konohamaru is pretty much a random kid who use to have a Hokage as a grandfather...big whoop.....

Ino is another one of those random ninjas. She just happens to be with Shikamaru and Chouji. Without them she would be pretty helpless. Sure she has mind control jutsu and what not but other than that she isn't a very powerful ninja. Besides Shikamaru is always saving her from getting hurt....

Actually, yeah. I really dislike obsession in general. In fact, it is odd, but only Team 7 can really be described as obsessive post-time skip. Naruto (to a greater degree than Sakura even) is obsessed with "saving" Sasuke (which only makes partially sense to me), and Sasuke is obsessed with getting revevge on those that hurt him when he was younger (Itachi and now Madara...maybe). And, I have to say, I am really disliking these emotional qualities.

Hopefully something will occur in the next few weeks that will force Naruto to think of something other than Sasuke (i.e. another training trip, another Akatsuki battle, etc.), but I doubt Sasuke will, anytime soon, think of anything other than revevge.

LMAO. this chart is proof that most people dont hate sasuke really because of his actions becaues there are people here AND in the manga who did things WAAY worse than he did. most of you haters want to hate the guy because of his power ups and he makes naruto look weak.

anyway on this list i hate sakura and orochimaru the most. sakura is annoying and she keeps calling out someones name when they're in danger thats so damn annoying. And she always starts up flashbacks. orchimaru is dumb and he keeps using people to take their bodies.

Gaara's sister's name is Temari.

The problem is that they are incredibly weak compared to the main cast of characters. They could make mince meat out of average chuunin, but wouldn't last 2 minutes in a fight against, say, Kakashi. They would be dead before they could draw breath.
