Due to the lack of consistent participants in areas of need and resource impotency, the project has come to a closure.

If anyone wants to pick the project up, feel free to email me at Kg_Reivier@hotmail.com. I am able to send the unfinished project file and instruct you on getting the RPG Maker program that's used to construct it. (It's fairly simple and straight-forward to use with practice, no programming knowledge needed for starting, only logic.) I am willing to help with questions and etc. if this is done.

Uh... like I said in the other thread, I can do jobs 1, 2, 5 and 6. It depends which you'd want me to do.

Hm, graphical work is the highest priority at the moment in my opinion; especially for the creation of face sets and quality graphical resource gathering (which is mostly for the facesets anyway; that and cut-scene pictures).

And thanks a lot for considering helping! :)

I'll apply for jobs 5 & 6 as I mentioned earlier. But if I can get my hands on an Audio converter I can help with job 3, I have AIR OST and some other audio files.

Nice, glad to hear. I really wanna get my hands on Semigoromo at the moment for some more reference since I'm making a midi for it atm; tried to listen to it during the episodes but other sounds were making it unclear. Watching it on Youtube's quality doesn't help neither. :/

Here's the midi of Semigoromo I'm working on to be used for the project at the moment btw; any feedback would be appreciated.

Midis sound crappy, but when used in RPG, the program has an echo-y effect for them and it's quite nice.

I could do position number 6, just to let you know english isn't my first language(neither second), however I've been learning it since I was 10(I'm 17 right now) and now I have been living in UK for three years...so it shouldn't be a problem(<= imo).

I can help with job 1. :)

I think we've covered all of the jobs needed to start.

Yep, awesome. Thanks Marti and Nano.

So right now we got me, Amara, Renge, Marti and Nano. Good to go I guess.

Alright, do you guys want to just use this forum as this project's base? The advantage of it would be to keep the AIR forum alive, and perhaps pick up more members on the way when people view this forum.

Nano.

なに!? ;)

How about using PM for internal discussion and using this thread for announcement/soliciting comments?

Sorry :p Typo plx, i and o were close together. :(

And hm, the reason that I don't want to use PM is because it would be inconvinient for everyone participating in the project to see ideas that are being passed along and perhaps add/give feedback on them. I think it would be easier for everyone to follow along with inputs where necesary on a public discussion place.

It would be a good idea to use this forum as the project page, however there isn't the ability of customising it like if we created our own one, or something like that...

Hmm... why not setup a wiki? Use a wiki site to coordinate effort and for documentation might be ideal.
(and count me in for no5 as well.)

Martino:
I wouldn't be concerned about customizing forum, since the project has not formally began with something to show as of yet. We could use use this forum for now, and when/if it is stably established, we will move onto a custom forum.

Panzerfan:
Hm, I do not have any experiences with wikis actually. Did a quick read on the subject and it seems to be a good idea. Is there some wiki-hosting site or something like that? I'm guessing wikipedia doesn't count.

A wiki is good for information sharing and documentation, however I don't think that it would be sufficient for this kind of stuff. Well, you don't know unless you try.

If you decide for a forum later on, make sure to count me in as I have some experience with invisionfree forums...

I guess you are right with the fact that this forum will be fine for now. Now I need to clean up my PMs :)

P.S. there is SourceForge as well, but I don't know much about it...

Actually you know what, I think it'd be best to start with a forum now. It might feel spam-ish to make threads for each category of the project to organize on this public board.

Invisionfree forums seem to be a good choice. If you can help with that, Martino, it would be awesome. It is free for unlimited amount of time though, right?

martino

Yes. It is free, comes with your own forum subdomain (eg s3.invisionfree.com/forumxxx) and 16MB of hosting space.

So do you want me to create one?

Name: AIR RPG Project
is that fine?

Alright guys, the forum is now up thanks to Martino! :) PM me for link. (Will put it in my sig later)

Also;

My main area of work is Audio and making the game itself; but I figured I might as well a try to make a character sprite attempt to get the spriting graphics started.

I know it's pretty bad, and it's actually my first time drawing a sprite; but it's mainly to serve the purpose of an example. So far I only got the front standing view done.

I'm hoping someone who is actually good at graphic work comes along and helps out with it; but if that doesn't happen I guess we'll have to stick with my crappy sprites for a while. Although this one's not actually finished, especially on the shades and outlines of the cloth...

I can probably help with 1 and 5. For #2, I can give it a shot. I have Paint shop pro, though. Not Photoshop..
