I'm not sure if this is entirely correct, but according to what i think are the rules of the leaf village naruto shuld be hokage. I think since Kohamaru used to try to defeat his grandpa every day to become the next hokage that the person who defeats the present hokage becomes the new hokage. In ep 2 Naruto suposivly "defeated" the 3rd with his sexy no jutsu, so Naruto should be the hokage now.

I no that, but tecnially if naruto wanted to he could just bring up that incident and according to what i think are the rules he would be the hokage. Even though he would only be the hokage for about 2 secs. cause someone would defeat him right away.

It's the Hokage and the two other members of the restricted council who decides who will be the next Hokage.
My Bad, but like i said earlier, i wasn't sure that was the rule but that's wat i thought due to Kohamaru's constant attacks against his grandpa

Who says they even fought? why would they? yondaime doesnt seem the type to fight over the hokage title (oro would have though).

Hunter said Oro would have become Hokage if there was a rule that you have to defeat the Hokage.
But Oro killed a retired Sandaime. To become the Fifth Hokage, one would have to kill the Fourth Hokage.
