View Full Version : I'm with the Bounto!
Why should so many people be forced to live in squalor, reduced to fighting for food and only finding solace within gangs and petty crime? These people are destitute, while the Shinigami live like kings among kings in Soul Society.
Seeing the Bounto as terrorists is an obtuse perspective, making them look like terroists is full-on propaganda!
IMO the Bounto are freedom fighters against the autocratic ways of the Shinigami. Soul Society is like Nazi Germany all over. Squad captains, enforcers, noble families, "holier than thou" personalities etc.
Screw Soul Society!
Viva La Bounto!

The bounto are in it for revenge, not justice.
But I see your point, and I agree that there is something wrong with Soul Society. The Shingami may not be the good guys either.
Though I have to wonder about the economics of a place where you don't need to eat...

Oh. I was not aware of this. I was sure I saw people fighting over food in one of the earlier episodes.
Maybe I was thinking of something else. Nevertheless, my point still stands, and I'm glad you see it. :D

I agree with you about the shinigami being some kind of ruling class as is apparent with the contrast between soul society and the slums outside it but the bountou aren't trying to do anyone any favours!!
The bontou are just trying to consume souls and take them to the bleach equivalent of hell. At lest the sufferers around soul society aren't possesed by demons. ^_^

People still like food, even if they don't need it (unless they have spiritual powers, in which case they do need it.)
And as for "slums"... I'm not sure how true it is. They're stuck in the middle ages, but so are the Shinigami, mostly. And there are 80 areas, with different economies. THe outermost ones are really bad, but how are the ones close to the Court of Pure Souls?

this is a gray area where either side can seem good/bad at times...
this is true for soul society but for bounto they are just in it for revernage using justice as an excuse ~ so fully black :p

Not really. I mean, for starters, they have cause for wanting revenge. For another, regardless of motivations, social disparities in Soul Society are great and unexplained.

they may not need food but they can get thirsty and they will fight for that but soul society wont give

:heh:
I would so screw the Soul Society if Kenpachi wasn't there, but I refuse to say "Viva La Bounto!" Bountos' are embarrassment to villains in general associated with Shounen series. I spit on them. Waaack-thoo. *monir spits. Oh crud! That was my monitor.
Nah. I would rather see Aizen and his supercillious cronies bring down the Soul Society though I'll be a bit worried about where my soul will be going, but that's a little sacrifice I'm willing to make.
Btw, I lol'ed till I couldn't lol anymore as I read the quoted portion of Shay. He is so screwing with us. Boo-Urns! Boo-Urns! :D

I can't really agree to that.. how would you suggest them helping all the souls in ss? they are decent enough to at least help the souls to ss and not let them linger in the real world..Of course some things within the walls of Seireitei are wrong, but many are very right.. its not like they pick people from the streets and put them in gas chambers.
For the bounto they are ants which should die, they should be happy that they at least got sent to the real world. if i would be the ruler in SS i would just put them to death, a failed project should never be kept alive..
Bounto = Lab rats that are rebelling against their masters.
It doesn't really seem like Seireitei has anything to do with the slums. All the Shinigami do is put a soul there and leave it on it's own. If a soul is believed to be special it can enter the academy to become a Shinigami. To me it's completely reasonable for Seireitei to have a higher class. They have more responsibility, what with them having to lead souls and fight hollows. (Think American Soldier benefits) Also those in Seireitei would need food more than those out because as was explained, the reasoning behind hunger is when someone swallows too much of their own spirit power in the presence of a much stronger power. With this reasoning it's safe to assume those within Seireitei tend to get more hungry being in the presence of such powerful Shinigami.
To me it is not the fault of Seireitei that the slums are the way they are. The Shinigami aren't dictating over their actions. It's the slums own fault. 80 isn't worse than 78 because it has a lower ecomony, it's worse because the people themselves are crueler. Besides it's pretty evident that they live like brigands, if they established themselves their own governmental system they could get out of the rut. But I guess this is the whole rich vs. poor thing, it's always a rich person's fault that I'm poor.
I think it might also be an "out of sight, out of mind" type of deal, at least to an extent. The Death Gods' mere presence is probably enough to ensure law and order, so it makes sense that the closer you are to the Court of Pure Souls, the more civilized things become. But since the Death Gods don't have much presence in the outer sectors, they're inhabited by people who feel unihibited, free to live like animals instead of humans.
There's also something else to consider. Reincarnation to life on Earth requires death in Soul Society. By their very nature, it makes sense that the outer sectors would have a higher death toll, so perhaps they're deliberately left lawless so the "life-death-rebirth" cycle is guaranteed to continue and the balance of souls is mantained. Chaos might just be a necessary evil.

Middle Ages? They have more advanced technology in soul society than exists in the "real world" in bleach. It is in no way a middle ages type area.
We don't know how the economic prosperity of each sector varies but from what we've seen all are pretty much destitute.
@ Saravis - Are you saying the armed forces should be allowed to live in an upper class residence and bar public entry? Lmao.

Sorry no I just was implying a similarity, not an exactness. American Soldiers have very nice benefits, good health care, pay for college, continual pay raise even after retirement, etc. Of course these benefits come at the price of your life. Similar to the Shinigami; they have nice benefits, but at the price of having to fight hollows and go to the living world to escort souls.
there are too many souls in SS to look after with such laws...
but it isn't bad cause if u die u go back to earth where u can start a new life :)
and who said that all souls are good in SS? how does it take to an evil soul to turn into a hollow? maybe people like Kenpachi would change into hollows in an hour but gladly some random shinigami saved them so they all went to SS to rise hell XD
don't think about it as a heaven, cause that place doesn't exsist or King is there :)
don't blame everything about SS and their laws cause u have to remember that rebelions for freedom are more bloody and vangeful than real wars... (killing nobles as entartaiment)
and u can't forget the most important thing SS is at never ending war against hollows, and it's natural that in countries at long term war economy gets down (long term war, not ocupation of other countries)
and SS is like... I can't remember the name, but the era where samurais and shoguns were everything :)
For the bounto they are ants which should die, they should be happy that they at least got sent to the real world. if i would be the ruler in SS i would just put them to death, a failed project should never be kept alive..

u just killed Kon :(
Kon was already sentenced to death, remember? He said back in part two of his intro that he and all the other modsouls like him were scheduled for destruction. It was just luck he ended up in Ichigo's soul candy dispenser.

Exactly. That's what Soul Society is like. It's a shame that the Bount have no real intention of reforming Soul Society, because it really has heinous leadership. Unfortunately the Bounts true goal is worse.
