Hmmm i think Yujin has done a good job so far with RM, the only thing that bothered me was how fragile Kana's parasol was, and mine snapped pretty quickly.

But im pretty happy with the series, and i eagerly awaited Hina chan, and now i want to see if Bara and maybe Kira will make it. :)

I dont know why that is unfortunately, but Shinku has already been made as the figurine given with Rozen Maiden 7, and the Good Smile company, so i guess there is no real need.
However, those made by other companies are not as alike. So far i tink only yujin figurines for rozen maiden are alike as in the anime. Btw i just bought my rozen maiden manga and the suigintou look different from the anime. Suigintou in the anime looks nicer, cool, fierce & her seductive eyes. Manga does not haf it !!!!! :frustrated: Btw i just received my rozen maiden gashapon, i will post the photo up later

ya the gmc shinku has a nicer, darker tone of red but the alter shinku has a much better face and hair detail

I personally wouldnt recommand Rozen Maiden Nocturne if your looking for lotsa nice picture of the dolls that you can browse through. Theres only like 2 pages for each of the dolls and the rest are episode guid, sketches, mechandise guide, etc.Not so sure bout the other two, but i heard Rozen Maiden Erinnerung is good.

I was missing the other one that QueenNori posted (Edelrose), but according to the solicitation (http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4844358014/), it's similar to Nocturne except focused on the first TV series. (2415 Yen/~$20 US)

If you're looking for a more all-purpose art book featuring nice prints of the official art and illustrations, I'd say that Erinnerung is your best bet. 75% of the book is full-colour illustrations, and it also has a mini-poster (featuring the twins, Suiseiseki and Souseiseki). If you're more interested in the drawings and source material, though, Kunstwerk is quite nice for that -- it's filled with nearly 200 pages of pencil drawings and sketches. The other two, Edelrose and Nocturne, are more like fanbooks for that particular show; they're nice as sort of "keepsakes" for the series in question, but are more diverse in the sort of information included (lots of full-colour illustrations too, though).

So hopefully that gives you a better idea of what's in each book. The links above take you to the product pages on Amazon in case you're looking to order. At least based on the three I have, I can say they're all very nice.

By the way, speaking of Radio CDs, I don't know whether any of you heard the Drama CD that came with the R2 LE Overture DVD, but it's way too funny. The whole show is basically Suigintou reading mock letters from "radio shows listeners" (sort of half fan letters, and half "Dear Abby" sort) and then, rather than answering their questions and helping them solve their problems, proceeding to insult them, belittle them, and call them "junk". :heh: Anyway, if you have a chance to check it out, I definitely recommend it.

Edit: Ah, awesome -- according to Seigel Clyne's more detailed post, the new CD is a sequel to the above. Great!

Does anyone have japanese release of RM season 1? Because I've found one on auction and it's written that it has english subtitles. It's from Japan, could it be truth?

Other signs that it might be a bootleg might include Chinese subtitles, "Region 0" encoding, low disc count, or a really cheap price. i should know... since my internets aren't fast enough to download the fansubbed versions... i ended up getting the bootlegged copies of both series to tide me over until the official release (this was before i learned RM was licensed)...

the picture quality is crap, the subtitles are in the worst possible 'engrish' you can get... and dvd cases themselves look god awful... you get what you pay for... and i paid like $5.00 for each series... and i reckon i was ripped off...

now that RM is being released propper, those bootlegged versions of mine are in my "dvds i don't want and will give away to any passing stranger who does or does not ask for them" pile...

Why do none of you guys seem to care about posable figures? Since they're dolls, they wouldn't be too hard to do, just cover them in cloth/soft plastic dresses.

None of you would tell me if the Palm figures were posable(too busy KAWAIING over statues I supposed), They can movie their arms and heads which I was quite pleased with, but Suigintou keeps falling apart and they can barely stand.

I'd like to see figures with the same size heads, but bigger bodies.

Any chance of a MICROMAN series, or some Revoltechs? The challenge is to make characters that are accurate both in that they were big, frilly dresses, and are also very articulated, due to the amount of movement and combat they did in the Manga/Anime. Static figures just aren't as good to me - you cant' fiddle with them, and you can't display them any way you want.

I might get a Generic MICROMAN female body and attatch their heads - but the dresses would be a pain to paint once sculpted, and the work around the articulation. I know that this could be why they haven't made any action figures, but for series like Bleach which are uber popular and perfect for action figures, they barely have any either(The new ones are really just semi-posable statues).

The Statues ARE Gorgeous, it's just a shame they won't make more figures(the last were ridiculously expensive, and I don't want 6 Inch figures - they look freakishly large next to other action figures, they need to be 4 inches, 4.5 at the most).

I really hate how overpriced dolls are. I'd love for some awesome action figure company to make 12 inch action figures with cloth clothing and proper hair so they look like dolls. They could probably end up going for about $30-50 at most(depending on how complex the dress is, of course, that and the hair would be the costy bits). It could be Rotocast too to save money.

I mean, when I look at some of the awesome 12 inch Marvel stuff you can get for so cheap, to have to pay 6 times as much for a Dollfie that to be honest, looks kind of cack in comparison...

I know they're not the same medium, but there is a hug amount of artificial inflatedness with dolls over action figures, which is worrying when many action figures are already inflated(thank you Hasbro!).

Actually, ¥13,000 is around $115US, which makes me think that either this is a totally different figure, or (quite likely on eBay) its a cheap Chinese recast. :rolleyes:

◆Diary　　雪華綺晶　胸まわり　 12.22



ここで雪華綺晶の衣装の特徴と、再現手段についてちょっと記しておこうと思います。


衣装各部の縁のフリフリ

コスプレ衣装などいろいろ作例を見ていると別フリルを縁に沿って縫いつけるのが一般的のようで す。
仕上がりはとてもキレイで密度もあっていいのですが、装飾として割り切った解釈に思えるので
ちょっとイメージに合いませんでした。
ここは原作同様の自然な（？）フリフリを再現したいので、薔薇水晶の時と同じく縁を広げる手法 でいきます。

衣装が全身真っ白なので、普通に作ったらけっこう地味になると思うので、主張しすぎない柄のある生地で密度 を稼ぎ、
アウトラインやフリフリの表情もなるべくメリハリをつけたいとおもいます。
このへんのこだわりでけっこう完成度が変わってきそうです。


右目の薔薇

これまでの薔薇の装飾にはテープを織り込んだやつ（？）をよく使っていたので、またそうしようと思ったので すが、
右目の薔薇ってアイホールからいきなり生えてるし伸びたりもするので、そこそこ大きな薔薇が必 要です。
で、 今回はコサージュを使おうかと。。
なかなかいいサイズのものがまだ見つかっていませんが・・・。
髪飾りのほうはいつものでいく予定。


ヘッド

薔薇水晶と雪華綺晶は劇中で見せる表情はちがうものの、系統としては似てんなぁと思うので、
薔薇水晶ベースの表情変えでいこと思います。表情を変えるのでアイホールの改造は当然やる予定 。

「水銀燈と対峙しても全く動揺しない余裕の表情」


今のところこんなポリシーで進んでます。。





今回の胸まわり作成です。

ざっと型を起こして切り出したパーツを縫い繋いでいきます。

ひととおりつなぎ終えたら縁を折り返し、針金を挿入するところを残して全周ミシンを通します。





そして針金を通していきます。今回はつなぎ目の山をいくつも通過するのでかなり時間がかかりま した。

つなぎ目は通路が狭くなるのでとても通しにくいのです。。

何やら変な形にねじれまくってます・・・

This thread is getting hard to follow. A lot of people are posting pictures without saying exactly what the figs are, where to get them, and whether it's mass produced or a custom job. I know it's fun to tease people but it's not fair.

Honestly, the problem with the RM license is that unfortunately Peach Pitt picked a very expensive thing to model their characters on. Dolls are viscously overpriced for what they are - honestly, I could buy a full sized, custom fitted much more elaborate version of Suiseisiki's dress off eBay AND a bunch of action figures with twice as much plastic as a doll for about the same price as her Pullip(which isn't terribly accurate), and that's the *Cheap* doll. Honestly, for close to $100 I'd be expecting to get something more like the Super Dollfie(and more accurate). The materials, the amount of work, just isn't there for that cost to be fair, and RM seems to be popular enough for it not to be as entirely "niche" as it maybe once was. Not to mention that most of the bodies are mass-mass-produced,

I would love to collect dolls but this insane pricing compared to action figures is just ridiculous.

What Rozen Maiden needs is an action figure company, not a doll company. What needs to happen is for some action figure company, preferably Western but I don't see that happening, maybe someone like Takara, making near-full scale Rotocast super-posable action figures. Rotocast basically means they're softer and hollow, this can make superposability like you'd need for a doll more awkward but it should still work.
These would be bigger, more detailed, and at least twice as cheap as the Pullips(i've seen "Marvel Legends Icons" which I'm not sure are even rotocast going for E18 in my area, which is nothing, and they're just as big as and much more detailed than any doll of that size). Of course, they'd probably have soft plastic instead of cloth(possibly the difficult part), but that depends on who's doing it. If it means paying a lot less for a better, bigger more accurate figure, I'd go with the soft plastic anyway - it often tends to look better.

As for "proper" Action figures, I'm still sad that Takara hasn't done a Microman line - I can't think of a more perfect line for it since Microman is so much smaller than other anime/comic book figures they'd be in scale, and the bodies are quite similar to a lot of BJD in appearance. I have a Microman Chun-Li and she's very nice. If RM is popular enough to warrant a ridiculous amount of statues, a couple of action figures(though they were ridiculously priced, may as well get the Pullips for what they were charging), tons of dolls, palm figures, keychains I don't see why there isn't money to be made in doing this.

I wonder what the market would be like for custom RM Micromen? I could probably make a couple... it's not that difficult as long as I go with the simpler anime-style dresses and not the more elaborate manga ones.

(Also, I'm not sure if [offtopic: did I used word "if" in right place in this line? Or shuould it have been other word?] you don't need have installed files for east-asian langugaes for this game too...

I've played Alibat for the first time! Great game.
I've played as Gin-sama and Suiseiseki.

But I feel sad whenever there's a Gin-sama VS Suiseiseki duel... I don't feel like dueling against them...

WinAce or RARLAB WinRAR? It's kind of a program to open...to install or something.

Well first open mugen.rar with WinRAR.
Then you will have this folder

Then just click on that install button.. install it into that folder then read that in green frame and play ^^

free of course.. It's just fan-made MUGEN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.G.E.N) game...
But ALiBAT is imo way much better (probably best from all RM games)

But if you look at battle videos on youtube..
You'll see how boring Gebergarten is...
There is also story mode and that includes classical japanese game where they are just talking and you have to choose answers (yes that is not bad but I can't speak jap. and even Kira wasnt there
