Nay, that was the "protoype" chapter. It's common for mangakas to submit a short prototype chapter to the editors, and if they and the readers like the concept of this stand-alone short-story, the mangaka is given the go-ahead to expand on his/her story even more, i.e. his/her own series. The end result is the manga that's in the stores. Naruto and Bleach are other famous examples of having a short-story prototype before becoming what they're today.

This prototype stand-alone short-story chapter is included in the special Vol 13 "How to Read" manga.

But this scan + edit, really did no justice to my picture. First, because of the amount of graphite on the paper, it reflected light from the scanner, causing alot of white patches, most noticeably, her skirt and boots. Next my editing skills are bad lol, I tried to get rid of the lines of the notepad I drew on and it caused some mess around the shoulders.

The other thing is texture, the paper actually became 'texturised' due to the amount of force I applied while drawing. You can actually feel the 'lace' texture on some parts of her gloves lol.

I think I'll draw another pic, on plain paper, to make up for this one.

1. You need 30 sheets of paper (But a real death note has 60 sheets... why wasting too much papers? lol)

2. The sheets must have horizontal lines only. No vertical red line. if it has, cut or try something else to not see the red line.

3. Try to guess the real death note size (must not too small and not too big like the one in the DN Movies) (I think in the chapter 0 of death note manga, Ryuk tell you how the death note must be)

4. Get 2 black sheets.

5. "Unite" 1 black sheet with the 30 (or 60 if you want waste papers :P) paper sheets to form a notebook.

6. Put glue on the 2 black "faces" of the notebook.

7. Put the other black sheet on (Do that because you need to hide the thing that "unite" the black sheet and the other paper sheets.)

8. (Optional) If you are a good artist, copy the word "Death note" or the other symbol. (You can skip that part if you want)

can someone make a wallpaper where its mostly black, and on the bottom right is a desk like Light's with a closed deathnote on it (preferably a small desk that takes up 1/5 the page)? Maybe an apple too on the desk. Also if possible could you add like some rules of the death note on the black background very lightly, so that it can barely be visible?
