It gets my attention that there are only 5 cms of difference between Nanoha and Fate.

1,63 for Fate? No way >_> That's just wayyy too short. I don't know what is the reference for those measures, but it's seems inexact since they didn't even consider the heels in their calculation.
Even if the original pic is official (that's for sure, I remember it clearly), I wouldn't grant too much faith to those sizes :uhoh:.

Looks right to me. Do not forget that the average height of Japanese people is shorter than most other places.

Putting fate, at age nineteen, at 5'4" (& 1/4) puts her just an inch shorter than me.
I'm about 65 in (5'5") tall, putting me at... 165 cm. (Nifty how that works out.)
That would make me a height match with Signum.

Going with the fact that I'm SHORT for a male, and supplementing with the fact that I generally don't meet too many women beyond my height... it seems accurate enough before I take into account Japanese scaling back of average size. Of course, everyone looks taller on screen, but I blame camera angle on a lot of that.

(As a note of interest, putting Crash's In-Armor height of seven feet in, he towers almost a foot over Zest. Nine inches anyway. Good thing I wrote up that Armor as extremely intimidating. When you're towering a foot and a half over everyone you meet, that's some serious BIG-ness.)

Just a pair of crossover pics I've drawn, Rachel from Blazblue channeling Fate and Nanoha.

Rachel has giant pink bolts of lightning, she is both Nanoha and Fate in one. She even has a 'barrier jacket' that looks like a combination of Fate's black colour scheme and Nanoha's large lolita skirt. She has familiars, transforming, talking weapons, magic circles, not to mention twin tails with ribbons.

I kind of see Nanoha as Lawful Good, but I would agree that Fate is more Lawful Good than Nanoha is.

Also, I'd switch Jail and Precia myself - Jail struck me as loving chaos for its own sake, while Precia was pure evil.

He also fits the 'They abide by laws for only as long as it is convenient to them.' part of the alignment perfectly, working under the TSAB's orders until they had outlasted their use.

Precia, on the other hand, whipped Fate merely because she didn't do a satisfactory job, and had no respect for rules or other peoples lives. All that drove her was her own desire.

Jail reveled in big moments, and in charismatic shows of force. The colorfulness and dynamism of it all was a lot of what pushed him onwards.

And actually, its his not wanting to cause death just for the sheer sadism of killing people that indicates that there's more motivating him than simple evil. A purely evil person would take sadistic pleasure in it - a chaotically evil person only wants deaths that adds to the chaotic drama and suspense - i.e. think of the guy in my avatar right now. ;)

I agree Jail and Precia are rather debatable. I put Jail as Neutral Evil because he actually likes f*cking with the system. Wasn't he the one that made Regius Lawful Evil? Furthermore, he's sort of willing to actually "deal" with people.

Precia seriously does whatever she wants and has the power to do that. She doesn't even begin to care about laws or the system and simply does what she wants and that makes her chaotic.

Manipulativeness is a characteristic that fits Neutral more than Chaotic. Jail has that manipulativeness, but Precia doesn't even think about anything other than her personal goals.

What's left to say is that I'm pretty surprised over ,and proud of, the quotes. When I dug through Nanoha episodes, I didn't expect to find quotes very fitting to their respective alignment.

I guess that's the crux of our disagreement.

To me, wanting to mess with the system (Jail) is much more chaotic than simply not caring about it either way (Precia).

To me, neutral means apathy - i.e. you don't care about it either way.

Precia is totally apathetic towards law and order - she'll use it (disciplining Fate) or discard it (totally not caring about TSAB) as it suits her purposes. She doesn't strike me as caring about chaos vs. order either way, whatsover. To me, that's the very definition of "neutral".

Jail, meanwhile, takes pleasure in ripping the system apart from the inside out; in abusing the system, so to speak; in turning lawful people evil in order to show that neither lawful or good could stand up to chaotic evil.

Anyway, I'll try to leave it at that - you have your splendid collage image done, and it probably would be hard to change it now even if you wanted to.

Nanoha in neutral good is fine since Fate is more lawful than Nanoha - I think that we all agree with that. :)

It's true that he's against the system, but that doesn't mean he's against all systems. He seems like a guy who's very well capable of being lawful if he wants to. I don't think it's exactly like, say, the Joker, who never ever plays by rules.
He's a guy who fights with his mind, after all. As in, making plans and manipulating people.
Or look at the numbers, they all have their ranks and order, Uno being the leader and his assistant etc.
