Well, looks like Funimation is getting Nanoha re-released at a very cheap price to boost sales.

Funimation only seems to re-release stuff just before releasing new stuff... Like with Slayers, they re-released all 3 seasons seperately on DVD when the 4th and 5th seasons were being done in Japan. And now all 3 Seasons of Slayers are on sale in one package, and Revolution and Evolution-R are coming out to America...

So, this a sign that StrikerS is going to get dubbed?

I sure hope so!

That would be very nice. Though to be honest, in my ideal fantasy world Nozomi would pick StrikerS up for one of their subbed-only (because I prefer to watch that way, anyway) box sets for which they tend to include lots of bonus swag...such, as, maybe, translated booklets with some of that extra All There In The Manual information that we tend not to get stateside. Still, I'll take my StrikerS any way I can legally get it, and if nothing else a Funi release with dub would reach more fans and perhaps raise the awareness of the franchise. That and get DMP to start kicking out the manga volumes.

Well, the guys behind the Wild Arms games are making it, or so I heard...

All the Wild Arms games came over, despite being a niche video game series from what I know. *Has all of them, including the remake of one, including the anime.*

So, it's possible. And Funimation is doing a second run of the first two seasons of Nanoha. (Already own both on DVD, two copies of As, in fact)

Yeah.:D Though it's still in question if that ability is exclusively hers. I can't read Japanese. :heh:

Though I'd much prefer it that they return her 2nd finisher (Triple Breaker) to having 4.5 life-bars' worth of damage (it actually used to be the strongest one-hit finisher available in the game) rather than the standard 3 bars from the recent patches. It takes a whole lot of time to hit so it should at least be more powerful.

I only stared watching Nanoha because I love figma.. and kept noticing the cool figures they were releasing for the series. I really enjoyed learning the back story for the characters, and now I have the urge to collect them all ><! Pre-orders end in December if the stock holds up. It just so happens that the Nanoha nendoroid sold so many pre-orders, that they had to close the pre-orders the same day of It's release...

the PSP 3000 already got knocked down in price when Go came out so i highly doubt they would do another drop one after the other. all i know is, the 3000 is the one to get because of the UMD drive since some games aren't going digital (the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep rumor for example)

Where'd you get that 8 characters number? Unless you're referring to the "1/8", which refers to the model scale, as in 1/8th or 1:8 scale model which means the figure is an 8th the size of the real-life figure it's based on.

We most likely won't hear a radio version 'til PHANTOM MINDS is officially released - PHANTOM MINDS comes out Jan 13 and Silent Bible comes out Feb 10.

blahblah and the PSP game's ED song comes out on Tamura Yukari's 17th single released Jan 27. Single itself is "My wish My love" and the three other songs on the single are "Tiny Rainbow", "Lovely Sign" and "Mangetsu no Sensibility".

Er, my guess is the PSP ED song is Tiny Rainbow and Yukarin actually did play a bit of it on her latest radio episode. Much like Nanoha, she was talking over it as well. ^^;

yes indeed. the 1/4 bikinis are worth the purchase way more than the 1/10. if they were to do 1/4 for Subaru and Teana, i'm practically screwed. i wasn't going to purchase ANY bikini figures before, but when i saw the Fate one i had to snag both (i think that's what they were planning from the start....hmph).

oh and then there's the Lyrical Box for Battle of Aces w/ the included Nanoha school uniform figma which is practically another 1/4 figure's cost, but it's soooo worth it for a special edition OFFICIAL Nanoha game.

The Sony PSP, like the Nintendo DS, is completely region-free. No modding is required to play foreign games. Assuming you got the copy of the game legitimately, all models of the PSP, from first generation PSP-1000 to current generation PSP-3000, will play the game without much problems. The PSP-Go should be region free as well, if the game is available for download, but that thing is roughly $249 USD.

Understanding it, however, is a whole 'nother thing.

like Tempest said, the system is region free so you can import to your hearts content. the majority of my games.....well, the UMD based games, are all imported. in fact, i got a PSP just for importing certain games that i know wouldn't make it over here *coughmacrosscough*. now Nanoha is coming and i'm a happy camper.

Not only is the Book of Darkness well... a book, I believe all three Aces of Darkness would be haxx'd up the wazoo, but quickly disappear once the Book is destroyed.

Just curious but...I'm sure some or many have heard of the PSP game for Nanoha that's coming out on the 23rd of Jan. next year.

I plan on getting the limited edition, which according to a friend of mine is $159.90 (sounds like a lot, I'm sure). Luckily, I managed to pay him cause I'm asking it as a favor. Plus shipping is roughly around $50...so, I paid him a bit more knowing I'd get some change back.

I already told Satashi about one of the things in the limited edition version in terms of goodies that you get.

I'll tell you the other things that they have:

A pink towel and pillow, a lyrical box (list of tracks probably on a CD), and (theoretically) a couple of keychains (I hope).

You can look it up on the official website for the game if anyone's curious.

I plan on taking some pictures of the content and probably put it on my photobucket account. Once I do so, if anyone is curious...to just PM me the link to my profile.

I'll let you guys know when I get it.

Even if im fan, im afraid i will only purchase the simple version (the non-limited edition).
It's too expensive for me(I know that i've said that the PSP is not that expensive but this time, it's about a Game and Goodies... Goodies are particulary expensive for what i've expected more, the GAME itself.) and im more fond of what the game contains than goodies themselves. (Besides i already know that it won't take that long to finish the game since it's a fighting game... about 1 or 2 day to finish everything...)
The only thing i don't know is if the game can be play online with the ad-hoc system of if it will be only wireless battle :/ (mean 2 PSP - 2 games) for versus...

piggybacking on what Noe said, if you have enough space for Battle of Aces then get it. the reason you'd want a 16GB (which i got recently as well) is if you'd want lots and lots of games/movies/music. so ask yourself this: which is more important, using the 16BG stick to its fullest or enjoying all the goodies that the Nanoha game can offer? and if you're a diehard Nanoha fan, i and the rest of us don't have to answer that do we? ( ^_ ^ )

it is not like MBA mainly from the fact that it switches from the 2d plane to 3d which looks like it works quite well given this is the Nanoha universe where fast action/distance is a must. the thing i didn't quite like about MBA was that the 3d plane kind of made it....slow paced? too bad i couldn't hear the background music which was covered up by the spamming of Divine Busters and Shooters, but at least it's the official CV of Nanoha so it's music to my ears anyways.

I've never order from cdjapan, but I used to get my stuff from Amazon, until the day I get really annoyed with the tax + customs charges I had to pay for every single order. Since last year I use Mangaoh and I never had any trouble (nor supplementary charges).

I've never order from cdjapan, but I used to get my stuff from Amazon, until the day I get really annoyed with the tax + customs charges I had to pay for every single order. Since last year I use Mangaoh and I never had any trouble (nor supplementary charges).D:

Now that's weird... EMS from Mangaoh never hurt me much, it's really reasonable. Wonder why there is so much difference with cdjapan. Do they make their customer pay a mandatory fee? Like customs charges?

Amazon was "correct" until last year , but last February a guy from UPS (while I was raising my cheque for their fracking taxes lol) explained me that everything from Japan was now systematically subject to supplementary charges (+ administrative costs, ofc). From then, I stopped to use them. Maybe this change is only relevant for my country though. Or it depends to who will deliver the pack to you :uhoh:.

Either way LVD, you should be prepared to suffer :innocent:. But that poster worth it! \o/

.....are you guys sure that's a poster? from the red katakana, it looks like it's an "original clear file" meaning it's not something that you'd stick up on your wall like a poster. i'm not that into clear files, but the artwork of it is really tempting.

i used to use amazon.jp as well, but like others, i couldn't take anymore of the jacked up shipping cost as well as the other fees. then i ran into yesasia which i was suspicious at first, but i think i can vouch for them since i pretty much got the whole Nanoha StrikerS DVDs from them. they're the real deal too (as in region 2 w/ the ID card bonuses that came with each volume) which reinforced my opinion of them. now i'm starting up my Macross Frontier Blu-ray collection through them. best of all, FREE shipping. can't beat FREE right?

Be careful of bias, because it may blind you to the issues that Famitsu picked at. I can't say what they are, however, since I lack the ability to read moonrunes.

Bias for the game and series aside, it's kind of difficult to discount the opinion of Japan's most famous video game magazine. Usually, Famitsu is the go-to source for gaming reviews, and for the most part they are pretty accurate and fair with their grading.

At the same time, of course not everyone is going to agree with with them. For example, they rated Super Mario Bro. Wii as a perfect 40, but I just see it as a rehash of Super Mario Bros. 3 with the added bonus as a relationship destroyer (I could spend a day talking about the many ways my friends killed each other in rage, accident, or sabotage).

All that said, the game is ultimately for you to enjoy. Make your own decision, but beware of bias.

Though those Lyrical Box goodies do look pretty snazzy. I'd like to see the art book myself, though the mere thought of dropping the money for the package is making my wallet hide in fear.

Magazine reviews tend to vary, and Famitsu is still just one magazine. Whether or not they gave the correct ratings...The players should decide.

I assume it is average by the note, but an average rating doesn't mean it's a bad game. A large part of my game collection are average games, and I love them much than most blockbusters titles.

apparently, Bandai-Namco didn't supply enough....*ahem* "incentives" to Famitsu to give a better score like other games if you know what i mean. they've been pretty generous to certain series that don't really deserve it. then again, they've done more good than bad so i can't complain (38/40 for Sakura Taisen V.....totally deserves it)

I use the rating and the review to judge the technical aspect. Reviews can't really rate the fun you can have with a game, because it depends mostly on the player, and that is the most important factor for a game, the fun it gives you.
Besides, I've played for so much years, it's been a long time I don't judge a game by its graphics or scenario.

I'll get it later when I find the funds to, broke right now after buying both the Fate PSP accessory set and Lyrical Nanoha A's Portable Lyrical Box. Pretty sure it won't sell out since Wave Nanoha and Fate didn't sell out.
