I've been wondering...Does anyone know if they're planning to release an A's OST? I really want to have Fate's transformation music, and I'm also hoping they make voice tracks for the devices like they did for the first season.

Considering how long it's been, I doubt it. Your only bet for the music's gonna be to fork out for the DVDs I'm afraid :( (which do have all the voice tracks too)

Funny you should mention that because I just looked up the DVD prices, and they're like 50 dollars each, and there's 6 of them. That's kuh-razy! This poor college student will now go cry in a corner.
EDIT: Looking at ebay, there's DVD "Box Sets" being sold for super cheap, which could only mean that they're just bootleg garbage, right?
EDIT2: Yeah, it's all a farce. These things only have 2 discs lol.
EDIT3: Does someone know the content of each disc? I might just grab the one with the content I want...

You mean the content of the BGM CDs? If so, not off hand, but if no one's answered by friday night when I'm next home where my DVDs are I'll check it for you.

Well, it's just that all the Nanoha figs have generally the same premise (with exception to the Movic one which is a disaster waiting to happen anyway)
As for the DVD's, you get:
1) Cards
2) OST in 6 parts (in audio CD format)
3) (on the OST in audio CD format) All the weapon dialogues in seperate tracks with legnthy pauses and no BGM or sound effects. PERFECT for games, desktop themes, etc.
4) A booklet with character design pictures which I'm sure we've all seen before
5) Extremely boosted animation quality on the DVDs.
6) Split, true and spanning stereo support. You know, just incase your sound system is from the 70's.

Hmmm, I've got a couple of Nanoha figures and a Fate on pre-order ... guess I should post some photos of what I've got.
This is my latest... I like the dynamic pose and the eyes but the hairshine line is a bit harsh and its a round form of Raging Heart rather than the piercing form which I like better.

This is my first Nanoha.... Nicely done but the pose and expression just seem very tentative. The base is a bit boring. I *really* like this form of Raging Heart (piercing style) but I'm not sure what to think about the "condom" on the back end of the pole :)

I've got the companion Fate on her magic circle pre-ordered. I love the Fate model with her rising up off a pillar of magic flame but I *really* don't like the sword form of Bardiche on any of these models. I prefer his "pole-axe" form.
note: oops forgot to rotate images... ah well. Still re-arranging my shrine shelf of figures in prep for some new items.

... 76 pages for ~$26cdn+shipping... ugh. I hope somebody here buys it and tells us if it's good or not. By the previews it looks like one of the various art collections, which I'm not even sure are cool because they just collect the o-art and fanart we already have in another thread. Many times they're printed crappily from small source images too, so the pictures are all grainy. I had a Read or Die one which was likely one of the biggest wastes of money ever.
... wait... no. There was that carnival where you paid to watch a clown smoke a cigar and swear at you.

Personally, I think this'll be a nice complement to the Visual Fan Book (which does have a lot of nice art and is well-printed, for what it's worth). And yeah, I'll be buying it too, so if impressions are still needed at that point, I'll be sure to post as well.

I've finally gotten myself a credit card! Although now my problem kicks in... which Nanoha figurine to get... I wouldn't want Nanoha lonely without her wife but... that's a later problem.
I might scratchbuild RH into different modes but the trick here is to know how does Nanoha grab onto her weapon with these figures? are the hands fixed or slightly flexible?
A few questions: How long did it take for your orders to arrive (I am in Vancouver BC) and what's the condition of the packaging once it arrives?

I order all my goods from www.hlj.com and I tend to ship them EMS, which is extremely expensive but I'm not too hurting for money but very impatient when it comes to deliveries. It usually takes 4 business days to get here from the time it releases. I've never had a figure damaged in transit either, and I've ordered quite a few.

The one Nanoha figure I have is decent but there are better ones around or on the horizon (tho a common beef is that they lack originality) but rest assured that it's an industry standard for weapons to be removable. This is, of course, to ensure safe transit as they'd be the first things to break.

HLJ/EMS and it tends to take about 4-5 business days for me as well, and the packages are always in good shape. (And I'm another impatient type when it comes to deliveries! I think the hands on all the Nanoha figures are pretty much fixed, but as Dragnfly said, the weapons are attachable/detachable.

not necessary, according to this Fate Figure done by GMC (Good Smile Company) http://www.riuva.com/?p=211, it seems like her lightning cloak can be taken off completely. However, i pre-order the Alter's Fate --> http://www.hlj.com/product/ALT20127, I like this one much better:heh:, cant wait till November to pick her up:). Anyways, do anyone know if Alter's Fate cloak can be taken off? if so, that be awesome. I also have plans for GMC's Nanoha but my wallet says "No" :(

True that, 3 of my figures ( 2 of which are still in pre-order) are already Alter:heh:. Yea, really what Alter makes really appeals to me, but I also like Good Smile Company and Clayz but some of it doesnt attract me that much as Alter

The Nanoha figurine that I put the order in is Alter as well. Good Smile's Nanoha in Excelion feels a little lacking and yes, I do like the 'main cannon' form for RH instead of device mode. What I plan to do is to modify the RH so that Nanoha would have the fins out and going full steam and to make an Excelion mode staff head for RH (I think that would look good for Nanoha in her pose). For that, I need to figure out how big is the shaft though if I want to allow for several different heads to be fitted with the shaft. It's going to take a while since I put ISAL on it.
(although suggestions on what should Nanoha the figurine should be holding weapon wise would be a great topic all in itself... maybe she should raid Golden Pikachu's treasury)
I've ordered them all (like some idiot Pokemon hunter) and will sort out the best Fate/Nanoha combo to keep and ebay the rest at hopefully some profit.
So far... I like the "magic circle" stands and the "column of fire" stand, but I *really* prefer Bardiche in his poleaxe or scythe form and Raging Heart in her angular piercing form (can't recall the name) --- and of course, none of those are on the same figure.
the humongous sword figure looks like an failed lesson in gravity and force vectors. What the hell are they thinking?

How big is the sword Vexx? For swords of ridiculous size, 1/8 Buster sword is at close to 21cm from tip to hilt, the Masemune at 25cm. (guess where I got'em from)
Haven't gotten the Big Sword Fate yet (still on order) ... but looking at the pics... and assuming Fate is 20cm ... as best as I can measure it Bardiche swordform may come in at nearly 30cm. Its not the length alone that bothers... its the horizontal placement and Fate's tiny arms I fear for .... much less the chance the figure may not be able to stand without stickyglue on the shelf.

May I ask is that a resin kit? I like how she holds up her RH Staff:p. However, it'be much more better if she has those pink flying gears on her legs and her RH opening up in the firing mode for Starlight Breaker:D. Im thinking of getting GSC Nanoha just for those reasons. However my wallet only let me grab the Alter Fate:(. Ah well is all for Fate-Chan:heh: she better thank me for sacrificing my wallet for her:heh:

I'd guess it's resin and not PVC, looking at the seams on RH.
Still tho. Pretty cool. I'd prefer it to have the flier fins too, as well as the pink potrusion on the end of RH and wings. But then again I like things on figures that look good when lights are shined on them.

Now... as we all know from StrikerS the COMICS, Nanoha is unable to get additional upgrade on RH following A's, which forces her to 'innovate'... by brushing up none other than the dual wield school 小太刀二刀・御神流 Kodachi Nitou - Mikamiryu and modify it to suit her taste better...

Basically, yeah. I can't really see anything new in here, it's just a collection of various posters, the DVD covers without text on them and the like, often with plenty of white space on either side too because the images weren't the right size. Can't really say it's worth buying unless that's all you want. Glad I forgot about it until now, really. As for the standees, I'd rather have the Alter Fate I still have on preorder.
Speaking of which, looks like they've stopped taking preorders for that, so I hope those who wanted one got their order in in time.

I never expected it to contain any new art (hence "collection"), but it's a pretty comprehensive collection of all the official art that's out there, and printed in fairly high quality (150 lpi? 166?). I guess I just like having a real book over a folder full of JPEGs (that were typically scanned from books anyway), so your (and everyone else's) mileage may vary. But as an artbook, I was pretty happy with it.

All PC DVD drives also allow you to change the region of the drive up to five times; with the price of plain DVD-ROM drives being what they are, you could just buy a second one for $30 and set it to Region 2 permanently. There's also software on the PC that can remove region coding from your DVDs for playback, and also in burned copies, so an easy way to play it in your home DVD player would be to rip it and re-burn it region-free (that also has the advantage of allowing you to leave the real discs in their cases so you don't scratch them up). Of course, another option is a region-free DVD player; a simple search and you'll find that there are plenty of them around. So... all in all, it's fairly easy to deal with.

Pardon my ignorance, but even if I were to drop the $350-$400 for the Nanoha A's DVDs, I wouldn't even be able to play them without a Japanese DVD player, correct?
Well, there is the ISO option like mentioned before, otherwise you could always just set your DVDrom in your computer to Region2. They come set to R1 in the US, but you are able to change the region code 5 times before it locks. So assuming you don't watch regular DVDs on your computer, you could always do that. Otherwise you could just buy another DVDrom for your computer for $20-30 and set it to R2 if you're going to drop $350 on DVDs anyways ;)
And with the figurines: Ouch you guys have way more money to blow than I do I guess. I have enough trouble just keeping up with buying DVDs of the series I enjoy, let alone dropping money on figures. And IMHO while I am a big fan of anime, I'm not THAT big of a fan to purpose little figures I might break and rarely look at ^_^:;

I thought that E2046 shop only did recasts. I bought some Marl Kingdom ones from whem way back in the day and they were recasts of a quality far below what was shown in their pictures.
I too preordered that Fate, so hopefully we'll all be getting them around the same time.
By modifactions I mainly meant her clothes. You see, I have a Louise figure who's skirt comes off, a Hikari figure who's skirt comes off, a Shana figure who's skirt comes off, a Yurie figure who's clothing accessories come off and a Yayoi figure who's clothes come off entirely (leaving her with only a tiny pair of panties which don't hide the detail the painter put into the figure) and not a single one said that on the box or on HLJ's website. So I just don't want any "suprises", especially if I'm not the one to crack it open. I'd dread explaining to somebody about that.
I tried to glue the clothes on so people wouldn't find out by accident, but my g/f caught me holding a figure down low with a clear/whitish goopy substance on her and let me tell you, that was embarassing and very misunderstood.

Well, My GS Fate arrived today. Cutie and her resemblance is as good as it can get. The head and cloack are removable and the big semi-transparent sword can be placed in a provided transparent stand to hold it up. Fate stands on a semi-trasparent dark green magic circle. A very nice piece indeed.
Having said that, there appears to be some sort of small scratch on the back of the cape for some unknown reason, so I need to paint it a bit there. Overall, I'm very pleased, no missing part, all parts connected fine and only this minor defect for my unit. I might probably order the GS Nanoha, too, although I believe Alter's bears a greater resemblance to Nanoha out of all Nanoha figures, but GS's Nanoha has a good resemblance and is more impressive than both Movic's and Alter's. Ah... how money fly :p

What I really like about this figurine is her expression. That mean-edge expression we don't get to see enough of. Even her lips appear to be drawn out in a cold line. Details to the eyes are incredible; I like the way they included the under-eye shadow. Together with the pose, I love this because it reminds me of all the battles where she paused, leveled her stave at the opponent and well, "made friends." XD What might be a problem here tho, is the hair framing her face. I wish it could be less oblique.

Sadly, defects are apparent and far-ranging in this model. Spots where plastic has chipped are obvious on the waves beneath her feet and on her Flier Fin wings. Anyway, base is an attempt to recreate the "platforms" they make in mid-air; I am glad its translucent.

All in all, this is a figurine of moderate quality. Colouring, expressions, proportions are all spot on; only it has obvious defects, especially with her clothes and equipment, which honestly dont seem to have been properly gone thru a finishing stage; with some edges still very rough and spots of paint missing at parts (check her cuffs). Having those detachable parts (well, at least for the Flier Fin wings) was not a good idea; much force is require to push them in, and even then they hardly fit.
Despite all these tho, as the biggest figurine I have (at 1/7) it quite literally rules my desk right now (throwing all my other figures out of proportion lol; especially thin Eruruu), and rightly so, with that mean stance and expression!

Sheesh. Now that's just way too cool :) That Nanoha figurine should go well with the figurines of Chii, Sumomo, and Minoru's maid whose name I forgot in Chobits, and the Strike Freedom model on top of my TV set.
Well, Fate does have detachable parts, too, and you can take off her clock, and the sword is consisted of parts to fit properly in her hands but I believe it's a well made figure. I'll order the GC Nanoha probably soon, so I'll post my opinion about it when it arrives. Although my desktop is getting crowded - I had to move Ilya on my PC tower to have space for Fate.

:p LOL, blinded by panties :p Nah, they are there, it's pretty obvious. Digital vibrance is your friend :p Overall, the model seems nice from the photos. Although, between Fate and Nanoha, I am certain that if someone isn't wearing panties, it's Nanoha. Fate, for all her badass attitude in the first season and her usual battle attire comes off as pretty reserved to me.

The shipping charges are always painful. I ordered Goodsmile Nanoha along with a batch of six other figures from Hobbylink and I expect a maximum combined shipping cost of about half of the total figure cost. Although that's a maximum and since they will come in two or three batches, it's bound to be less, but it's still painful :p

Bome peices are also what's called "speed painted" which generally results in lower-quality or outright bad paint schemes. I have two of his figures and both look fine across the room but up close the quality is pretty crappy.

I finally got to play the full version of that doujin shmup of A's that came out with a demo a while ago (demo had 1 level with Vita for a boss)
Basic advice: If you're big into stuff like Touhou, DO NOT compare them. However, on it's own it's a pretty fun (if short) shmup allowing choosing between Fate and Nanoha (yet to beat it to see if Hayate is unlockable). The bosses are fairly imaginable compared to most generic shmups I've played and they fixed a few of the problems the demo had.
I had both Fate's arrive today and now I have a conundrum ... my original plan was to review them all and sell all but the "best" Fate and the "best" Nanoha (imo). Now I'm stymied:

I'd just swap RH units but then that would make the other unsaleable to collectors. If I were perverse, I'd convert the bland Nanoha into Dark Nanoha but I don't paint that well :)
The Fate pair is the tough choice... I didn't want to keep more than one but little Fate's sword form is overshadowing my 14" LH Motoko Miko sword dancing figure centerpiece here....

Looks more like Motoko's older sister then motoko herself.
Not to derail onto Motoko... but it dates back to near the original run of the series and manga and is a resin figure (quite heavy). She's also my first ever figure purchase (and I got in a bidding war over her, ouch). Reviewing all the anime pics and models of her --- one gets quite a lot of facial variation (even in the manga) so a "true" model of her is kind of difficult to pin down. My main critique of this one is that the eyes are a bit large since she has "extra-japanese" eyes in her drawings (even when she's surprised they have an almond shape to them).
The older sister remark is kind of amusing because I've tagged her "end of series" Motoko as she's got a calm zen grace in her face rather than the tense mixed feelings look she spent much of the series in. So in that respect she's closer to the plateau her sister already reached.

Response to Xellos spoiled since totally off-topic:
She's going to law school, continuing her martial art studies, and writing trashy romance novels :) The last pieces of her arc had her figuring out the missing parts of her "belief structure", finally defeating her sister in combat, and confessing in full to Keitaro -- (whom at that point was a total maroon to me for sticking with flaky Naru :) ... even Naru couldn't understand why he hadn't chosen Motoko in a self-reflective moment around that time in the manga).
I'll admit Motoko is the "love of my anime/manga life" :) so don't expect a lot of rationality on the topic :)
Any other thoughts on the subject should be PM'd ---
Oh, and I fail at budget management... I'm keeping both Fates, so I'm only going to ebay-punt the "bland Nanoha" model.
I thought the "bland Nanoha" beared the closest resemblance to the character, and she was really cute too. I actually thought I'd get that instead, but chose the GoodSmile one, which hasn't shipped yet (damn).
The one from Alter is really a big model... I like that and got it already. Still trying to figure a place for her to stay.

hm, Why is it my pre-ordering it by going to the store to pre-order figures actually slower than pre-ordering it online from websites.
I'm still waiting for my Alter Fate, I'd ask them and they replied that it was just released this month (aka December) so that I have to wait abit since they cant get ahold of my orders yet.
Anyone have a clue as to why it takes this long? I was thinking faster because they are an anime store, thought they have connections and would be faster:heh:

i pre-order one before and it was Alter Black dress Saber. It arrived one month and a half after its release date (july 2006). I assume mine would arrive in February since each of their shipment has 2 weeks time interval between them:(. So, is either 2 weeks for me or 4 weeks for me. Im on the same boat as you Deathkillz haha so no worries.
Along with Fate, im also waiting for the Fate/Stay Night Sakura:heh:. Alter sure makes good figures:)

I'm still waiting for my Alter Fate, I'd ask them and they replied that it was just released this month (aka December) so that I have to wait abit since they cant get ahold of my orders yet.
Anyone have a clue as to why it takes this long? I was thinking faster because they are an anime store, thought they have connections and would be faster:heh:
More often than not, the anime hobby shop near you is using the *same* access tools (ordering from exporters direct from Japan). They don't order in bulk so they don't get any special favoritism. They don't often speak Japanese so they're kind of at a disadvantage if they try to communicate directly with the model producer. So you're actually increasing the delay by adding a transfer (plus they tend to order using the cheapest shipping (ship) instead of the most expedient (EMS)). Nothing against hobby shops - I use them and the local bookstores when possible but sometimes you're just better off going to the source.
The other issue is that you pretty much HAVE to pre-order or your chances of getting one are slim because they compute the number of figures to make on some percentage of pre-orders (e.g. we got 200 pre-orders? okay make 300 figures). That involves some risk since you don't know the quality -- and it involves some money management since you might be pre-ordering up to six months in advance and have to make sure the money is in the card at the release date.
Even in regard to manga - if I try to buy from Kinokinuya Bookstores... I'm going to wait an extra couple of weeks for it to arrive at the store though I will save a $1.00 or so on shipping since they *do* order bookstacks in bulk.

I order mine form Ebay over the new year weekend. It got here earlier this week. You might want to cancel your order at thehobby and buy form ebay. Just don't buy form the guys selling for Hong Kong. They are a bunch of crooks.

With Ebay you can pay by paypal and they can take the money directly form you checking account. So no credit cards necessary.

In the arena of .... "I'm spending too money much on this hobby and can't keep track" ... a Nanoha figure arrived today that I did not recall ordering. It was the GoodSmile "full bore kickass" Nanoha --- and I'm glad I ordered it :)
Very dynamic posing, the face is decent (not as grim as I'd like), the energy feathers are translucent and the dress fabric hang makes me feel like I should run a fan for flutter effect. The *only* complaint I have is that this is the first model that does not use a transparent red plastic for RH's core ball. Its painted (though hardly noticeable amongst all the energy flair). The funny thing is that my favorite part is her shoes... they have the heft and bulk of tank boots (like the anime) rather than the flimsier things the other models have.

@Xellos: yeah, I was looking at some 4" Negima figures this morning on ebay that at first glance looked like new Negima!? items.... but the package art is from Xebec material... the figures are improperly dressed and scream Xebec instead of Shaft ... and have just had things stuck on them to make them "!?" rather than "!" (floating books, witch hats, etc) .... very clearly suspicious.

Ok. This is extremely important. I'd be eternally greatful if somebody else who also got the Alter Fate could confirm something for me.
Does her head really come off so you can remove the cape? When I was taking it out of the box her head popped off, but it totally looks like a break and doesn't fit back on smoothly. It's easily fixable with some epoxy cement but I just wanted to be sure. Also, I thought somebody mentioned that the cape could come off but I really don't see how that's possible.

Her cape is secured with screws at the rear, my friend. Her head should not come off easily. Mine's all secure.
Actually, My Goodsmile Fate comes with her head off, so you can have her with or without the cape. I plan on having her cape-less during summer :p It comes off pretty easily but is secure enough not to worry about it.

Yeah, then I totally broke it trying to get in around those twist ties. Oh, well. Shamal will have to be right there with some healing, I guess. In the form of epoxy cement. Cures whatever ails ya if you're made of vinyl or resin.

Finally found a decently priced GSC Nanoha. Sure, the face isn't accurate but by Haruhi, the hot-blooded spirit of A's is there in the pose and her mouth opened in incantation.

My new masterpiece has arrived :p It looks better than your photos :p Damn, it looks better than the shop photos, too :p And I second the shoes comment. They get noticed pretty fast. You get this "get out of my way or I'll crush you" feeling from the shoes :p I hope she doesn't try to be friends with my other figures, I've paid a lot to see them reduced to piles of plastic debris :p

I wouldn't waste my time trying to order figures from amazon.co.jp .. as someone pointed out much of the time they're just a front for smaller shops, many of whom don't ship internationally. The only thing I use them for is manga.
yesasia.com is infamous with me for claiming to have stuff, waiting two months with my money being held.. then admitting they don't have it in stock. I don't use yesasia anymore.
www.hlj.com and cdjapan.co.jp have never failed me yet.
@npal ... she is impressive, is she not? Her and the "on a gold flame pillar" Fate just dominate my collection.
:p Well, GC Fate took a not so "in your face" approach, but you can't miss the sword :p. Although if you take her cloak off, she's not imposing, her arms are thin, but she still seems like she's going to perform some sort of battle dance. I liked her face more than the other Fate figures, so I bought that, and her pose reminds me of how Fate is different than Nanoha :p
The two figures just really reflect their battle styles. Nanoha is long range artillery - very solidly dug-in stance. Fate is close-up cavalry fast and nimble.

A final note: the proportions of her zettai ryouiki are not within the recommended parameters of 4:1:2½ (skirt:zettai ryouiki:legging above knee) more like 2½:1:2 but levels of moé are already dangerously high so some safety margin is required for the continued existential security of London.

I'm no pro on the whole "perfect space between skirt and theigh high" thing but since Fate's skirt doesn't go the whole way around doesn't it even count? For that matter, her leggings don't stop at the same place the whole way around either.
And I know it's weird to say but npal, you're absolutely sure the cape comes off? The screws look more like they're for holding added stability, the head doesn't adjust or come off cleanly and even with the screws loosened that cape doesn't budge. I'm going to reserve judgement on that undocumented feature until I see come close-up photos without the cape and clearly showing that no damage has been done to the figure.

In regards to Nanoha's boots, I agree that the bigger shoes make all the difference in her looking like the lolicannon she is.
And lastly, my apologies for the crappy webcam pics. My digital camera is busted and between that and the phone cam, it's the better of the two.
And yeah, I know. I just mean Fate in general. I don't think her wardrobe allows for a possible perfect show of skin there.

To me the faces are also a huge factor. Tho both are Nanoha, I far prefer battle cry to the passive. Tho if the heads were switched, it wouldn't look right at all. Not just the shoes but the shoulder and wrists are a lot bulkier too. They really managed to get that bulky flak jacket look from the later half of A's as opposed to the standard uniform look.
There's no Fate in general :p If it's Goodsmile Fate, her cloak IS indeed removable. Damn, she comes with her head on a special place slightly above the body and you fit it in yourself. Her skirt, while it moves a bit around I think is not removable. And obviously, her black suit is not removable. I don't know about Alter Fate, since I don't have it, but if it has screws and Vexx or someone else didn't report anything else, it's not removable.
Goodsmile Fate (on magical platform) can actually have her cape and skirt removed leaving the gymnast body suit (her body actually comes apart).
Unless one is going to make a custom "meido" suit for her :) ... anyway.
Of course, she has the configurable Bardiche.
Alter Fate (on the pillar of flame)'s cape is removable but I don't see any screws ... it just sits tightly under her head (which is attached to her body via a long neck pillar). You put the cape on and then insert the head.
Again, it loses a lot of the effect without her cape...
I don't tend to mess with them once they're set up ... clumsy fingers and too many brittle parts for me.
The Skirt is really removable in GC Fate?? I'm kind of fearing that something might break in the process if I try to take it off (like the skirt getting distorted or something) , so I didn't try.
And what do you mean with the configurable Bardiche? It's broken in parts and you have to assemble it, but other than that, it's not configurable. I mean, it's the sword, period :p
Sorry, wrong model... the Bardiche on the "magical platform" Fate can be configured in basic pole-axe form or "big flare" scythe form (but not sword form). The other model you only get "big ass sword" form.
That's one reason I'm keeping both models... I like the pole-axe and scythe forms better than the sword form.

EDIT: my bad... very bad. Everywhere *I* said "Goodsmile", replace that with "Movic". I don't own the "assymetrical" sword swinging Fate from Goodsmile.
I own the one with Fate on a tilted "magical ethereal platform" swinging her Bardiche in pole-axe/scythe form from Movic. The Movic model strips down to the gymnast suit as stated. And I own the Alter one with Fate rising from a pillar of 'flame'.
Goodsmile (long ass sword parallel to ground)
Movic (configurable Bardiche with figure on tilted ethereal circle)
Alter (figure on rising pillar of flame with her holding sword form in one hand)

They're hug pillow covers, which is probably self-explanatory. Either way, you can't - they were limited Comiket only goods about half a year ago that won't be rereleased, so if you really wanted one it'd be a Yahoo Japan Auctions case and, er, good luck getting one that's not 'used' so to speak. Hell, there was one guy back at C70 who ended up getting carried off after having a panic attack and heat stroke because he couldn't get one of them. Ouch.

My roomate noticed the hilt on Zanber (Alter version. The one on the pillar of energy) is wrong. The top "arrow" peice is longer towards her arm and the bottom one is longer towards the blade. In the show they're both even.

Finally got my Alter Fate yesterday after a long, long wait on SAL. And had to pay customs anyway. May as well have just gone for EMS, would've worked out cheaper, but I can't say I didn't expect as much. What I didn't expect was for my mum to remark how cool she looks every time she goes in my room.
Heh.. my son's girlfriend has long blonde hair and everytime she glances at it she says, "thats MY anime avatar" ... heh.... she likes the gloves and the cape.
It is a very nice Model that I saw it 1st ( Alter version with pillar of flames ) and big too when I saw the Model everytime...

I think you'll also be able to find all four in the Visual Collection, but again, not as posters. Finding them as posters would mean you'd have to dig into the backissues of Megami as they'll be all spread out. The first is the only one I'm not sure about, but I'd bet that is from the 2006-05 issue. The second is from 2006-02, the third from 2006-12, and fourth from 2006-01. The other trick is that, of course, it gets progressively harder to find old magazine issues the further back in time you have to dig. So, anyway, if you really want them as posters, that's one thing, but if you're willing to settle for nice-quality one or two-page prints, the Visual Collection (http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4054032605/) and/or that Megami Deluxe (for some of them) are probably good ways to go.

Ouch...that hurts, finding the magazines that are one-year old is definitely hard in where I live. I think i'll try to ask the anime stores to see if they have any 2006-02 or 2006-01. Though I would really want the poster where 3 main leads are in it.
But this is weird though, Why would they distribute the posters through the magazines? Is it because to attract viewers into Megami?
I notice there are ALOT of posters such as Bleach, Naruto though.

I don't think there's been an official Nanoha wallscroll yet, so they'd all be prints I think. And yeah, they only put those posters in single-print magazines to make them rare.
I have all the ones you showed but remember exactly where they came from is exceptionally tough. Sorry. A Megami comes with about 11 posters (x2 for double-sided) so it's just too hard to remember.
Tho if you look for Bleach/Naruto posters or any such type of series, you won't find them in Megami. Megami is all about girls girl girls. All I can suggest doing is to check www.e-animedia.net at the start of every month to see what posters are in it. Or better yet, check the image thread here because scans pop up earlier than their site updates. When you see a poster you want, get the mag. It won't get you the ones you've missed but it will ensure that you don't end up in this tight spot again.

As the day of StrikerS is approaching, so are the figurines of the characters from it as well!
So far, from what I have been salvaging, a company called Movic has decided to mass manufacture Nanoha first though I would much rather want a Fate-chan first:D.
I still need to get the child version of Nanoha ><. I'll be attempting to save up to get the GMC Nanoha. If the StrikerS Nanoha + Fate comes out that I'm interested in than I might as well get the StrikerS's ones first:heh:

Deluxe won't have those posters, u do get a nice one of Nanoha and Fate though
If u want those 4 posters u'll have to track them down by auctions individually or look for the megami issues (via Yahoo Japan Auctions).
The first and last 2 are B3? size(or B4, not sure wat u call it), like 2 A4's stacked landscape mode, and the 2nd one is B2 size

The sad thing about 99% of the wonderfest figures is that you had one chance to buy them, and you'd better be packing $400-$1000 per figure.
<sigh> it makes me sad ... I really would have gone for a Signum and a Vita.
But yes, those custom figures are for the truly deranged (I'd really like to know what otaku at this level of buying power do for a living ... even allowing for the "my life is collecting" factor the cost of living in Tokyo.... just kind of amazing).

An accuaintence of my brother's is at that level and he explained it to me once. Basically, he lived outisde the city and works online as a programmer. He's far better at it than he lets on, so he finishes average-level work in very little time, making the company think he finishes average-level work in average time. This gives him lots of time to work side jobs or go to events.
He makes frequent trips into the city to get massive amounts of stuff and pays next to nothing for his little shanty in the countryside that he lives in.
I don't know how far away from Tokyo he is, but apparently close enough for internet access and fairly easy travel. The house he lives in has several rooms (apprently two storey) but only the bathroom and kitchen area are for living. The rest is apprently like a warehouse.

I did saw it at a shop in Sunshine Plaza ... Not too bad. The song is "Snow rain" .. I kinda like it and bought the last one .. ;)

Well, it is a shop in Singapore, A place where they sells these. A very nice piece and good to collect item. Too bad the Clock for the Nanoha StrikerS is reserved by their own member. Else that would be mine too .... ;)
Actually you could mail them to ask whether they will accept international order.I got both with the help of my Singaporean friend.He got their contact info, i asked them my questions, he paid it (i gave him the money through paypal) and they took care of mail and packaging.

I assume this is the same store where chi-no bought his , Sunshine plaza #01-50 near Bugis right? Been in Singapore 3 years ago for 1/2 year :heh:

Chi-no, my new found friend. This place, do you know if it has a website? I googled it and came up with something I don't think that is right. The singapore numbers, they confuse me! Anyways if you are bored, the american stores are lacking.

Pretty sure you don't need to be a member to pre-order new stuff.

Wow. I mean, the figure itself aside from the paint job - I want a figure of StrikerS Fate... hopefully someone will release one that's as awesome as Alter's Fate (A's), and with a great pose and facial expression. Ah, I can hope...
At first glance it looks like a crack like you said.... but it appears to me that it's just how her barrier jacket is split at the bottom when you look at the fourth picture on that website. The split is on the other side too.

Wow, you're right on the Hayate part. o_O I'm probably too focused on the Fate figures to notice. I really do like Hayate's outfit though, and when you add in the wings a figurine of her could really stand out amongst the rest.
I'm not a huge figurine person either (1/60th scale Gundams rock :) but I can appreciate some of the nice models they have here... and it'll probably look nice on my desk or shelf or something (goes to wait for her Fate/Nanoha figures to be delivered next week) :)

As for the Clock That is to be released I heard KKNM have also. But was already ordered by one of my friends who tends to be more hardcore than me. Though I am one of the people who poison him when I showed him the Completed set of Nanoha's trading card ....hehehe :P

boy was i lucky on my holiday ~ after countless delays and the never ending sold out tag on altar's fate i have given up ever owning one...you can imagine the hysterics when i happened to bump into on during my travels into a most unlikeliest of shops...
