That would be because different seiyuu performed the two different versions, meaning that we get to hear different characters in each of them since most of it is actually spoken lines.

The first OP had Rina Satou (Negi), Akemi Kanda (Asuna), Ai Nonaka (Konoka) and Yu Kobayashi (Setsuna).
The second one has Hazuki Tanaka (Ku Fei), Yui Horie (Makie) and Junko Minagawa (Ayaka).

I'm surprised that we didn't get to hear Nodoka yet, as they seem to be using the most popular characters first. Maybe it'll be her turn next...

The tenth disc contains the OP and ED for the Spring and Summer OVA episodes. Don't worry - for that price, the CDs are included (it's not a $60 empty box :heh: ).

(That being said, keep in mind: this isn't the soundtrack, just the full-length openings and endings.)

Essentially, they make a certain amount of CDs with cards, and when those run out, they make more without them. That makes the cards somewhat of a collector's item, and so encourages people to order right away. That's an incredibly common marketing strategy in Japan, and you'll see it virtually all the time when it comes to Negima. So, if you want to get the cards, you pretty much have to play the "game".

Blame it on two different subtitle versions of two subbing groups in the first MSN anime. Though I can say that the only thing that I liked about that anime was "Happy Material". :D

Ah, the first OST is just classic Haneoka Kei (If you've seen PaniPoni Dash or REC, then you'll know what i'm on about.) Though this time around the style of music has gone much more serious - though its easy to tell that if you've been watching the series.

I can't seem to find any lyrics for the 2nd Negima Uta no CD besides "Sugar Memory" (Akemi Kanda, Junko Minagawa). Any ideas on where I can find most of the lyrics? "Never Give Up!" (Ai Nonoka, Yuu Kobayashi) and "Mayonaka no Philosophy" (Natsuko Kuwatani) have given the least amount of results.

Ever wondered what the Negima characters would sound like, gender swapped? If you've got 1000% Sparking and a little bit of free time on your hands, I recommend trying this out:

1. Download BestPractice (http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp2004/bp/), or some other program that allows pitch shifting (decreasing the pitch of a song without slowing it down)

2. Open up 1000% Sparking, and change the pitch down by about 4 semitones (Playing Pitch in the lower-right corner for BestPractice)

A: I must say the most difficult ones are the ones that were already quite close to the musical ideals we were aiming for. Songs by Yoko Kanno, Joe Hisaishi and Ryuichi Sakamoto where already so masterfully arranged that we had to work really hard to make any improvement in a good way. One of my favourite songs, “Aimo Aimo,” was one of the hardest of the latest volume, simply because the original version is so good!
It was much easier to transform a speedy techno-ish track like “Hare Hare Yukai” or “Happy Material,” because wherever you decide to take it, it will be monumentally different from the original.

Trombone. I haven't played in YEARS, but I still have my instrument. ^_^ Jazz band was always a lot of fun, since we did gigs and the like. Marching band was also good and symphonic band was OK.
