Messed Up Text

I just got the Shuffle! Game, but when i tried to run it the text isn't working. I'm getting lines with fractions and brackets and other things. This is especially annoying because i can read some Japanese, so if the characters were normal i could understand some of the text. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

sounds like how i had it first time... i think your problem is that u didnt change your language in the control panel..... u have to change the non-unicode language in the advanced setting... change it to japanese and then it should be fine, else im not too sure
