Something like Air

I just watched air and it was absolutely amazing. Is there anything else with a similarly touching story? It doesn't necessarily have to have the same kind of ending.

Check out Kanon. It has the same general vibes in my opinion. There's an ongoing remake, and a 2002 (completed) series.

If you want the same vibe Kanon (2006), but i ain't sure if it ends happy or sad.

You might want to check out Honey & Clover I & II, they're essentially the same series, the second season just completes the story

Basically, none of these titles are like Air but they have something that I think you might like since you did say that Air's story is awesome- and the drama on some of these titles matches up with Air's

I suppose Kanon is the closest thing to Air, though it's probably closer to being "Air Lite". Toei couldn't quite pull it off... they wimped out and refused to increase the body count. Looks likely that KyoAni will chicken out as well.

Touching story, eh? :) Does the graphics has to be as beautiful as AIR? Or you just want to watch some drama stuff?

The Fushigi Yugi manga is a lot longer than the anime and goes a lot further, the couple is great and are boyfriend/girlfriend and dating during the series. The manga continues the anime, however, the anime has OVAs that cover a lot of the manga. There are lots of romantic kisses. The couple have a great story.

The Ceres Celestial Legend manga is a lot longer and more detailed than the anime. The anime cuts out so many touching, emotional, tragic, romantic and moving scenes. The manga has lots of scenes scenes with the couple kissing in hotel rooms, while the anime cut them out.
In many series I recomend, the couple are dating and boyfriend/girlfriend and in a relationship towards the beginning of the series and are dating during the series.

Marmalade Boy (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=356) is a great romance series. The story is very realistic and has a great storyline.

Bokura ga Ita (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4441) Great and realistic romance series. The couple become boyfriend/girlfriend early on in the series and are dating during the series, it has a great and realistic storyline.

Kare Kano (http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=199) The couple is boyfriend/girlfriend and dating during the series.

Saikano has the depressing/sad level of Air and a pretty decent story so far (Im in the middle of it) It is very touching.

Kimi is sad and I agree with Ptolemi about annoying characters. That aside again sad and depressing story line.

IMO: Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien is no where like Air...while Air is touching, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien brings me nothing but sorrow...I couldn't finish the series because starting from the middle of the series I can't stop crying and can't see the screen at all...

The theme of Air is 'hope', and the theme for Kanon is 'miracle'. I havn't watched Kannon yet though I think they should be different?

Oh! :) Chrono Crusade! It's heartwarming, sad and isn't badly drawn. The characters are sooo loveable too!
