What happend to Bushilord?

Hi,

Almost a year ago I read about an anime which was going to air soon in Japan.

But what happend?

Bushilord is on such a rollercoaster production-wise I think we can consider it along such media as Duke Nukem Forever and Starcraft Ghost. Basically, it's vapourware in anime form. The production materials are apparently there but it seems that, for whatever reason, nobody is doing anything with them.

Usually, it's a fault of money. You need to keep investors happy and once they pull out, your project is on hold until you can get another source money.

The Eva films are coming out this year anyway, so no one cares about this series anymore. Everyone would rather waiting for something new from Eva than waiting for something that most probably won't come out in the near future.

Gainax are also powering up Gurren-Lagann (their next big mecha franchise) for Spring 2007 so I guess Bushilord is very low on their priorities atm.
