I'm sure you guys are aware of this already, but if not, I wanted to make a notice on it so that someone could peak at it. When you go to the main page and try to go to the releases section, you get a database error. Also, mirrors.animesuki.com is giving connection refused. If this is a known issue, just ignore me. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm getting thes same error too. "Error: Unable to connect to database." Though, when you first go into the releases, it works, but when you click on the letters, it doesn't. Groups, Search, Torrents, Mirror, FAQ.....Heck almost all of them don't work...Oo;
Yeah, I'm getting "Error: Unable to connect to database." when I try to click on a series, I dunno about the other sections though. Kind of sucks, I'm a newcomer to anime and I wanted to get the collection started... :help: :(

I figure it's a temporary error and one of the admins will beat the database server into submission soon. :D

I don't seem to have any problems at the moment. Maybe it has corrected itself (or has been fixed now).
I assume you are talking about these links
Releases (http://www.animesuki.com/releases.php)
Mirrors (http://www.animesuki.com/mirrors.php)

There is very little I can do myself about database problems on the main site
as I'm not the admin of that server.
The reason you were seeing the problems on certain pages and not on others is
because the site uses a "disk caching" mechanism which caches pages to disk
if they have been viewed once (at a time the database was working). This way
the site is supposed to load faster and use less database connections. So pages that
were in the cache were working because they didn't need to access the database
and others weren't working because they did need to use the database to be displayed.
As for mirrors.animesuki.com -- it's unfortunately become a DoS target. So I have some
trouble finding a good host for it and is down until futher notice. However, if all else fails,
here are some links to other mirrors:

Wow, that sucks. So what's the huge deal with these bloated idiots constantly raging blithering freaking war on AnimeSuki?? (rant, fume, rant) Personally I think it's very childish on their part whoever it is.

Hmm.. Database Errors ? Are you sure ? I did nothing and it seems to work fine ?
Anyway, Problems with anything related to the server, mail mb@insidetheweb.de directly !

Welcome in my last 2 weeks *g* with the forum .... but nobody beats admin anymore *g* And this weekend one new server should arrive.
The attack worked before only, because he could spoof his ip; But since this doesn`t work anymore, he must be really stupid to try out (revenge is sweat..)
@Gerard, if you need help, i can lend you a hand.
But by the way, just saw it; even we got DoS Problems, AnimeSuki is more popular then ever. New record yesterday.. around 140.000 unique visitors (no, i won´t look at the traffic... *g*).

Wow, 140,000 unique visitors? Dude, that's just too cool. I know we were the best, but I guess that just confirms it. Sweet. Hey, awesome job to the admins and mods. We're the best because of you. :D (brownie_points++ hehe.)
Well if you are looking at Nedstat for those statistics I must
tell you they aren't terribly accurate -- if you visit in the morning
and again in the evening then it'll count you twice. Still... the number
of "hits" (as they can be counted as that) is isane... :)
I never ever thought AnimeSuki would become this popular.
