View Full Version : Official thank you thread.

I've seen a number of threads created to thank the wonderful groups that sub all of our favorite shows. Rather than see many different threads created, here is a place to officially thank the groups that you really love most. After all, we know that many, many groups really deserve our thanks. To start things off I would like to thank a few of my favorite groups.
I would like to thank AonE for their incredible work on Gokusen. You guys have gone above and beyond with this show. I am impressed by the fact that you translate all the graffitti, but I am mostly impressed by the fact that you are handling all of this yakuza slang. It must be tough to get translations for some of those words.
Live-eviL deserves kudos for the variety of shows that you translate. You work to find shows that nobody else is bothering to translate. Shows that are unlikely to get licensed. Shows that really deserve people's attention. You find these shows and sub them so that we can enjoy anime that would otherwise never be seen, let along subbed. You sub Condor Hero, Galaxy Express 999, Magical Fairy Persia, Yawara, and Mermaid's Forest among others. Thank you for exposing us to these gems since nobody else cares as much.
I am thanking Seichi for Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon. This is a marvelous show that has slipped through the cracks and I am glad that you are offering it to us to enjoy. I am also going to thank you for putting out what was in my opinion the best sub of Gunslinger Girls. In your version you went above and beyond the call of duty by offering us your research on the guns that were used and even more impressively by giving us notes about all of the locations that we saw in Italy. It gave us the sense that this anime was set in our real world. Truly impressive.
Ani-Kraze deserves mention for being one of the best groups for translating and editing. I see how hard you people work to get everything just right. This dedication means that your version sometimes take longer than other peoples, but it really pays off in terms of quality. Particular thanks go out for your work on Hundred Stories and Spiral.
I have to thank Froth-Bite for Android Ana Maico 2010. When you split off from Infusion it would have been easy to simply pick up with episode 5 where you left off, but instead you cared enough to go back to the beginning so that you could do an even better job than you did the first time. That shows your true spirit as anime fans.
A-Source & Lililicious deserve my thanks for their impressive work on Maria-sama ga Miteru. I am surprised that no other group decided to pick up this show, but I doubt that they would have done as good a job as you do. My only complaint is that you didn't include your important translation notes for episode 1 as a special note on the video after the episdoe had ended. Since that was your first episode, I understand that you were still learning to work on this show and it was a tricky situation.
Just because I am singling these groups out to thank right now, doesn't mean that I am dissing anyone else. I love you all, except for a very few, so please don't take a lack of mention as an insult, because it is not. I just don't have the time and space right now to thank everyone whom I love.
Now everyone else may send thanks the groups that they feel deserve a mention for especially great work. (Just don't open up a new thread anymore.)

yeah this is an good tread for thanks to fansub groups.
I would also personnaly thnx to Anbu&Anoe for good subtiteling.
And I would thnx to saiyaman.info for fast releases of the raws
:)
Actualy I would just like to thank all the groups that do this in thier spare time. Thier are some groups I download more from, but I don't think they deserve more thanks than a group I only download once or twice from. For all of you have taken loads of your own personal spare time so I could enjoy somthing I well might never have been able to see another way.
Thank you, I do truly enjoy all your time and efforts.

hylyte for getting me into the lang of digisubs back whenever love hina was coming out
i'd like to thank dark|slyde.
he got the ball rollin for me in terms of timing/karaoke/fansubbing :)
A-Source & Lililicious deserve my thanks for their impressive work on Maria-sama ga Miteru. Uh, it's being worked on by HQA. They've released the first episode so far.
Edit: I suppose I should add that I think this public fansubber ego stroking is a pretty bad idea. If you really want to thank the group for the work they do, go find them in their IRC channel or their own forums. They'll appreciate that much more than some massive thread on an anonymous forum.

I would personally like to thank Solar for doing an unbelievable job translating Jubei Chan 2. In my opinion, Jubei Chan 2 is the most difficult anime of the season to translate and you have done a flawless job. The translation notes is really helpful and how you are able to use Russian, and Korean dialect and translate them is astonishing. I am also glad that you are able to translate the symbols on Buntaro's shirt, it's a huge plus. All in all, you made the series complete.
Of course, I would also like to thank Shinsen and IY-anime for also doing a fine job on Jubei Chan 2. Thank you for realizing how special this show is to fans like me.
I like to thank Lunar for consistently providing great translations from all of their work. Your latest work, Daphne in the Brilliant Blue is also a personal favorite of mine.
I like to thank Miyuki Fansubs for subbing the classic anime Miyuki, Meise for taking a chance on Touch, and Anime Urchin for their work on Rose of Versailles. They may be old, and many people may have forgotten them, but I hope you guys know what they mean to those who still remember them. Thank you for bringing these memorable titles back to life.
Last but not least, I like to thank Triad for also consistently providing great translations. Despite some criticism, I thoroughly enjoy their translation of Gunslinger Girl. Something about the way you present yourself that really catches my attention. Looking forward to more from you guys.
Edit: Anyway, there's lots of other fansubbers to thank, actually I should thank all of them. They are not getting paid and are using their time for the sake of others. Now that I think about it, this thread is probably a bad idea since it'll definitely leave a lot of groups out and all of them deserve recognition.
I would like to thank the following groups:
- The original Triad (A-F & Ishin & NLA) for their great work together. (response to the post below: I meant cooperation, you don't see that every day in the fansubbing community)
- Seichi for their excellent work on Gunslinger Girl and Tsukihime.
- LivE-EviL for generally being an ethical and responsible group, and for doing a great job subbing older, forgotten anime.
- Hikari no Kiseki for subtitling Magical Chocolate, which was a brilliant choice.

I'd like to thank ALL groups because they are spending their free time on helping us getting our daily dose of anime addiction :), but the following groups get a special notice since i enjoy and dl their fansubs alot:
Lunar Anime: You guys are my favorite group above all, I get just about everything you fansub. Great translations and fonts, and I love the way the text appears piece by piece when characters talk (instead of doing it in shorter phrases as most other groups do).
Anime-Keep and Anime-Empire : What to say, ALOT of great releases and good fansubs from you, I especially enjoy Shingetsutan and Planetes. A special thanks for keeping older series like Tokyo Underground up (which I am enjoying right now!
ANBU & AonE : I prefer their Naruto version over every other, even though they are usually the last one to release the episode (the horror of waiting so long :heh: ). Keep it up guys!!
Other groups that I wanna thank are Ani-Kraze( Scrapped Princess), Froth-Bite(DDD), Anime-Junkies (Yumeria, yes they get a ty as well :p ), Infusion and AnimeForever and many others!

I have a few thanks to make.
I'd like to say thanks to my fellow staff in Triad for working so damn hard on our projects. I may not have been around in the "ORIGINAL" Triad who did Azumanga, but if you look at our staff, nearly everyone is the same! (I swear I'm not directing this at anyone who also posted in this thread). My staff and I worked damn hard, and provided the best quality in series' like Popotan, Narutaru, Ultra Maniac, Gunslinger Girl (except for *1* thing in the first episode that was questionable) and many many more. Good job guys, keep up the good work.
I'd like to give thanks to A-E for well, letting me work on their staff I guess :P I love working on PLANETES, and Tenshi na Konamaiki. Thanks guys ;_;
Finally, I'd like to give thanks to my first fansub group I started out on, who still exists, and still provides great fansubs, even if not as fast as the others, Shoujo-Anime. The work on Pretty Cure is amazing and the time spent on perfecting things for Mermaid Melody is great. Woot!

I would like to add that I absolutely agree. Everyone should go to IRC and thank them there! Or seek out their own forum. It would be a much better choice than posting it here.
I created this thread in response to people's desire to have "thank you" threads. Since I have one combined "thank you" thread it gives everyone a place to say what they want. I felt that having this thread was better than not having this thread. In other words, the good outweighs the bad.

I'd just like to give a big thanks to all the fansubbers out there. If it weren't for you guys, I'd be stuck without anime during the school year! (No TV in my dorm room! :( ) Special groups I'd like to mention:
1) Anime Daisuki: You're the only group out there that I know of who's fansubbing Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. It's a good show; I look forward to watching the next episode.

First off is to thank all those fansubbers out there, you fuel my addiction and allow me to watch the always 99% better original instead of the Dubbed versions which almost always resembles in one way or another poop on a stick (dubbed anime is a big :nono: ) So Props to you all for allowing me to escape reality every now and then :)
With That said, todays big thank you goes to all fansubbers out there
Cheers
::EDIT:: Special thanks to The triad...Those guys rock, good shows out and the right attitude to send off annoying kids that keep asking for them to sub some perverted series that was dropped..their retaliation to these people are classic and other fansubbers taking shit need to take points from these guys.

A huge thank you to allll subbing groups who devote their time to this community. Some special thx go to:
AonE and Onigiri for quality bishoujo subbing
Aozora-Seichi for subbing the funniest series ever.
afk for quickly pumping out Kenran Buto Sai, my fav anime of this season
big ty to AznPro for coming back to finish off Yumeria for us.
and how can we forget those short-lived renegade subbing groups like Hayaku fansubs? lol.
My biggest ty goes to AKeep and ANBU, tho especially AKeep, for subbing more than half the series I've seen, and doing them fantastically. You guys are my heroes, and if it's subbed by AKeep, I'll watch it, b/c I know whatever it is, it has to be quality.

[my first post]
i would like to thank United Anime (http://ua.inspirelight.net/ua_projects.php) for offering the superb Legendary Gambler Tetsuya (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=2143). it has an intelligent and appealing storyline and it's quite a relief from the obligatory panty shots [that one finds with alarming frequency on lesser titles]. i noticed that this project is on hold because they require additional translators...
unfortunately, i do not understand japanese BUT i hope the animesuki regulars will give this series a chance. if you enjoy it as much as i do then please send a request to United Anime (http://ua.inspirelight.net/ua_projects.php) and perhaps this will convince them to complete the full 20 episodes.

I'd like to thank Anime Daisuki/project arina for Kamekaze Kaitou Jeanne. Thanks guys! The notes about the manga storyline was a nice touch. I really appreciate the opportunity to see this series! (I doubt it'll ever be licensed! at least not any time soon.)
Just finished the last batch of episodes. Appreciate it! (and thanks for restoring the previews!)
I just wanted to say thank you to Yatta! for fansubbing Candy Candy. My wife used to watch this show as a child, and wanted to see it again, but we were unable to find it anywhere. The Spanish dub is even pretty good. Thanks a lot. Please keep fansubbing it.

First off, I'd like to thank all the fansubber groups that put effort into their work, and don't just crank out crappy subs for the sake of speed *COUGHNARUTOCOUGH*. It is MUCH appreciated.
But I would like to give special thanks to the following groups:
Mugen-Anime-- For bringing the happiness joy that is Bobobo Bobobobo to my world! It's got more things to translate than the average anime, and it must be a daunting task to translate every single text that appears on the screen as well as the spoken word. You have my utmost respect, thank you.
The Triad-- For bringing me one of my favorites; Ultra Maniac <3, as well as Dogtato and Gunslinger Girl. I alos commend their superior sub and picture quality. Much love, yo.
ANBU-- As mentioned above; they take the time to make sure my Naruto subs aren't bland and lifeless, like the speed subs that are saturating the scene.
Sexy Commando-bu- For subbing Sexy Commando, where others wouldn't. Is anyone subbing Sexy Commando anymore? *sniffles*
Sailor Spork- For raising Pugyuru from the dead.
i just found out today that, there is a group that is fan-subbing one of the Macross series; Macross 7. For that, I want to send my deepest thanks to Central Anime for their effort.
Macross is one of the few anime series that I started wacthing ever since I was a kid. Unfortunely, I have forgotten the whole story cause it's already more than a decade since I watched it.
I was wondering if they could also sub Macross plus. That would be great!!! :p

The joint between ANBU and AonE has been resumed. Here is the end product.
In other news, crustol, our fearsome translator who is only capable of demoralizing other translators, has retired from fansubbing after 4 years of service, and over 500 episodes translated.
Please wish crustol the best in whatever he decides to pursue in the future.
And Deathwolf says, "Cookie." MmmMmMmm.... yUmmy.
Thanks for all the hard work (if he sees this). You're one of the best.

I would just like to express my appreciation to all the hardworking people who take time out of their own schedules to make our favorite anime series more accesable to a bunch of fans who they will probably never even meet, and likely will never even get an e-mail from, it's their hard work that allows us to continue watching these fansubs and even though there are probably lots of complaints and few compliments, they continue to strive for our benefit. so to any distributers reading this. thank you
Thank you Anime-Empire, for a Christmas Eve gift of Yakitate Japan! That put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. :)
EDIT: And another episode!!

I got hold of Full Moon wo Sagashite a little late, but I took an immediate liking to the fansub group a.f.k. who did the subs for this anime. I like the way they color the dialog depending on who's speaking it. It gives the subs a personal tone attributed to each character and kind of brings them to life.
Major props to you, a.f.k., if you're reading this. You're one of the best, if not the best in my book!

Who are Kyuu, and why do they rock so hard ?
I'm not normally someone who downloads fansubs, but their releases
are sometimes out before the raws even, and the sub quality is very high-
and I don't see translation mistakes that are usually ubiquitous among
speed subs.

It's been a long time since I want to thank Fansub Groups. I lived in Japan now and I try to learn Japanese, a little bit because of them. I watched a lot of anime and I discovered a world of wonderful stories. Thank you very much. I hope that maybe, in the future, I can help them with the translation (mada mada desu!) :D
It is a good thing to have Fansub Groups. I remember the time before Internet and I hope that Internet will stay like that: full a great people who are doing things to share with others.
Thank you so much!

I've wasted 5 years of my life...
You should have spent that time fansubbing instead of making everyone wonder when you'd be online to work on the seventeen episodes waiting on you ;)
Did I ever respond to this before? I'm too lazy to check. But here's my new reply if so:
Thanks to groups that have: 1) Never released an episode of licensed anime; 2) Don't speedsub; 3) Not been complete asses about what they do

Thank you Froth-Bite and Scramble, for subbing Yoshimune. I had thought after this show was ignored last year that it wouldn't get subbed and it didn't sound so interesting that I really cared much.
Now that I've seen Yoshimune, I am overjoyed that you rescued this gem from the pile of last year's forgotten shows. Without your work I would have missed something wonderful. Thank you so much!

There are way too many groups I could think of to thank! But some particular ones I would REALLY like to say thank you to are:
honobono - even though I work with you guys I'm really glad you're giving me the chance to sub and enjoy Futago Hime. ^_^
Arienai - for Sugar Sugar Rune, Ginban Kaleidoscope, and Yes! Pretty Cure 5
Arctic - for giving anime viewers a chance to watch Miracle Girls with much better video quality
StrawberryMintSubs(SMS) - for Kin'iro no Chord(La Corda d'oro ~primo passo~) I'm so glad you picked this show up! I was afraid I'd never get the chance to watch it!
AonE - for Daa! Daa! Daa! and best hopes and wishes for more episodes soon of this amazingly cute show!
Naisho - for Gakuen Alice despite all the delays. People should be happy you picked the project up in the first place!
Lunar - for Ouran High School Host Club and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch (with hopes of some more eps soon)
Spork - for Cutey Honey Flash
HnK & L-E - for Ask Dr. Rin!(hopefully more eps to come as well ^^)
HnK - for Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san. I hope you'll be able to pick this show back up again soon!
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Thanks again to ALL the fansubbers for putting their free time and effort into providing people with the opportunity to view anime. Keep up the great work! ^_^
Thank you ToyBox for your indiscriminatory attitude toward a confident hero who is about 1/3 shorter in height than the heroine he is hitting on. To sum it up, I'm thankful for the subbing of Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=804151#post804151) :D
Second that, thanks to Toybox for subbing this great anime :D :D :D
Wow, there is no way I'll do justice to all the wonderful subs I have consumed over the year. However, I can at least make a somewhat arbitrary selection of some groups that come to mind whom I appreciate:
AonE receives my appeciation for the sheer number of shows I seem to have done by them. Whilst their releases are often not quite polished to perfection, their tag on a fansub is still synonymous for a very watchable fansub in the worst case, with most aspects above average and nothing subpar, but often it actually stands for a wonderful job. There are actually more groups which more or less fit this description, a lot of them starting with an A, but AonE comes to mind most strongly.
Secondly, I'd like to bestow my thanks upon Tv-Nihon for slowly but steadily working on releasing more episode of Yuugi-ou. (The non-licenced series that is not quite so obsessed with Duel Monsters, perhaps because it doesn't try to make little kids buy cards.) I quite enjoy this series and when the yugioh group stalled on it I was worried that I would never see it to the end. You have given me hope though, only 6 episodes to go, keep it up!
Thirdly, I'd like to thank hono-bono for making my teeth rot by doing Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime. I haven't experienced such overwhelming sugar-coated sweetness since I first watched Binzume Yousei (Bottle Fairy). Things seem to be moving a bit slow at the moment, but I have all the confidence in the world that you guys will pull through and keep releasing this absurdly cute series. Extra props are due for the generally high quality you deliver.
Finally, I'll thank Ryoumi for supplying me with shiny episodes of Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~. Even through rough spots I'll stick with your release till the end, so here's hoping you'll never give up and pull through. (Darn typesetters, heh.)
Edit: Figured I'd add some props for gg. Vitamin C is important after all!
Edit: Removed mention of a licenced series.
Thank you Tv-Nihon for subbing Otogi-Jushi Akazukin.

Thank you Hard Gay Fansubs for quick releases of the excellent series Nodame Cantabile.
Also thanks for Gnu-Fansubs for start/finishing Himawari! I always wanted to finish the series.
Thank you, I do truly enjoy all your time and efforts.
yeah, thank all the groups that do this in thier spare time!and thank you !:)

I just wanna yell "thank you" to all over at Eclipse. I was trying to figure out what Clannad-release to watch earlier today, so I ended up downloading both. A few minutes ago when I surfed to your webpage I found myself staring at [SS-Eclipse] Clannad - 01 (h264), and that made my day! I didn't know whether you were going to pick it up or not. =)
Would also like to thank you for your excellent work on Claymore and Hayate no Gotoku! this past season. You guys combine speed and quality, and the result is much to my liking. Cheers!
Edit: How rude of me... this is of course also directed at Static Subs. =)
Again I would like to toast Eclipse and Static Subs for their great work on the newest pick up of CLANNAD. I guess I'm a fanboy of both groups these days. :p
Looking forward to future releases. :D
Some things can't be said often enough. I'll offer my thanks to Eclipse and Static Subs for the Shakugan no Shana movie, Shakugan no Shana Second, Hayate no Gotoku, Claymore and Clannad.
You guys.. quality and quantity, you provide both for what I consider to be the best shows available. Great taste and great effort. My undying gratitude is forever yours.
I would like thank Eclipse& Static-sub too ...spicially for Kanon 2006... I also would like to thank KAA for subbing Mai-HiMEjust fyi, KAA does not "sub" stuff (at most they supplement missing subs with extra scenes from a dvd for example).
The subs are either from other groups or from english dvds. But I like their releases too.
Thanks to Static-Subs and Eclipse. Quality subs with great speed. Thanks a lot for subbing especially Shakugan no Shana and Clannad!
Thanks to Hauu~ and Ni-paa~ for subbing Higurashi Kai

This is kinda out of the blue:
I wanna thank all fansub groups for their work, despite wat the animation studios say, they are the reason y i continue to watch anime, and the reason y the studios are even getting my money from all those figures and OST @_@ If it wasn't for Eclipse i would never have seen Fate/Stay Night, and never would've bought those 6 Saber figures that i proudly own lol
If the Animation team and studios are the heroes who bring us all these anime, then Fansub groups are the unsung heroes that continueous provide us fans with fast, free and dedicated subs that allows us to enjoy these anime in a language that we understand!
Arigato gozaimasu! Thank you! Merci!

Oh, Kip and all the others over at Black-Order... keep going strong. You deserve some kind of award for your work on Gurren-Lagann. I'm going to watch it a second time the day you guys release episode 27, but not until then. =)

I'd like to thank Wind (Higurashi season 1) and Hauu~ for Higurashi season 2. - keep up the good work guys. :)
SS-Eclipse for subbing all those great animes (Shana, Clannad and Claymore) - may you live long and happy lives. :p
EDIT: Sorry for forgetting, also like to thank the people at Doremi for their excellent subbing of sola.

I'd like to thank every group for doing what they do, as a blanket statement of appreciation. While I don't watch every series, and don't watch every group's releases (I'm generally loyal to the group I get the first episode of a series by) I do greatly appreciate the effort everybody puts in. I used to be in the scene myself, and I know how thankless it is.
However, some groups I really want to give a shout out to.
SS-Eclipse, for everything they do, in good quality and a timely manner.
Menclave for all of their projects, in good quality and also quite timely.
m.3.3.w is fairly new on the scene (as a group, at least) but I also like their work from what I've seen so far, also love the fact they use proper English (seeing 'mum' in a sub still surprises me!) ^^
All of the above groups do brilliant HD encodes, whether upscaled or not I don't care to get in to, I love their 720 releases, and the fact all of them chapter their MKVs. Much <3 to you guys.
Shinsen deserve a mention too, since they've done a fair number of shows I love, though I wish they'd release more (or everything!) in chaptered MKVs. =p
First of all, thanks to all the subbing groups for their hard work and their efforts ^^
I'd like to thank rumbel-subs for subbing gintama. It's a great show, and from what i've heared it's very difficult to translate. So thanks for your hard work!
Shinsen subs for their quality subs and their title choice. They've subbed some of my favorite anime.
Static-Subs & Eclipse for clannad, i love that show ^^
Thank you, Mishicorp, for subbing Kiba. Much <3 to you :p

Many thanks to BSS for their dedication to Kimi Kiss and also to SS - Eclipse for some outstanding work on CLANNAD. To Anonymous, great job so far handling Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, it must be extremely difficult material to sub.

My sincere thanks to Formula (episodes 1-27) and Cool & Spicy (episodes 28-31) for taking time and effort in doing Shugo Chara. :)
They've probably been thanked enough, but my praise goes out to Eclipse for achieving a balance between quality and speed, and thus creating efficiency. I followed pretty much everything they subbed for Fall last year, and will continue to do the same in the future. Also, props to whoever they collaborate with, especially Static-Subs, who I found out about back in 2005 when they released what is now one of my favourite shows.

Oh I have seen this treat now. I must thanks many many times.
But first doumo arigatou gozaimasu at:
1. Anime-Keep&ANBU for fansubbing "Hagane no Renkinjutsuhi" because of the very good quality and the very good Subtitle-Type.
2. Soldats for fansubbing "Monster". I found the harsh critism from Soldats o.k..
Other thanks by and by.

I know this is to thank fansubbers and all, but maybe sometimes we should thank all the people who support our projects from behind the scenes w, i.e. the website designers/hosts/admins, project ftp server providers, distro members who keep our torrents seeded and our xdccs online, tracker providers like scarywater and fansub-torrents, people that donate, users on forums and irc who help kill boredom, raw cappers/providers, and on and on... Thank you!

You know, I am not a fansubber myself, but I know groups so often get crud thrown at them for things- too slow, not enough, missing weeks, etc... I think it's important to express appreciation when deserved (in this case, more than deserved!). I don't fansub, as I said, but the work involved in putting one together seems monumental- obviously enough that even a prompt fansub group will give themselves a week to put them out. I've fallen for the series Macross Frontier (as many have), and I have found that GG has won my heart as well- every Saturday morning I wake up, eagerly go to the Animesuke site, and right there standing out by itself is the first fansub release... by none other than GG, every time now. I wanted to share in a public forum my personal delight- GG's fansubs are always pleasing to me, smoothly flowing, and just as professional looking as many groups that take a week or more to release. Since to my understanding the episode only came out a day or so ago- I can only imagine they've been working tirelessly straight through the day to pump that baby out.
Thanks GG - we really appreciate you!
-Pat
Thank you to minhtam2448, wontaek, and ando for giving us something to follow in our day-to-day lives. I don't think I'd have nearly as much fun or been able to meet as many great people as I have without the moe contests threads on AnimeSuki. Some numerous other people deserve shout-outs as well, so I might as well...

Thanks to Triad for the work done on Bokura Ga Ita. I just watched it and I must say it was excellent work!
Would like to give thanks to the following groups;
gg - Great group. Fully softsubbed releases, quality work and thankfully stays away from all the flashly nonsense which I find degrades fansubs.
Shinsen - Seemed to have turned over a new leaf. Softsubbed, hq releases with professional translations. Keep up the good work.
a.f.k - Not sure if they are still alive but would just like to a huge thanks for the amazing job on SZS. A legendary task indeed with lots of attention to detail and a very professional translation.
Rumbel - Another decent group. Huge respect for keeping Gintama alive while other groups abandoned it.
Eclipse Quality group. Their work on Claymore was exceptional and their joint with SS for Shana was also another fine piece of work.
DB - Not the most liked group around but none the less, thanks and respect must go out to them for such speedy releases with Naruto and Bleach, especially when both are such long series and splattered with filler.
Thanks to Live-eviL for their sub of Shion no Ou. I'm wondering if they actually already had someone on staff who had a detailed knowledge of shougi or if they had to find someone with shougi knowledge just for that show. To the untrained viewer, the translations of the shougi content looked very well done.
Big thanks to Eclipse (Code Geass/R2), Static-Subs (with Eclipse, Clannad), and m.3.3.w (Special A, Hakushaku to Yousei). As well as Atelier-Thryst subs for Kuroshitsuji.

You're welcome. To answer your question - the translator, Beloculus, did a lot of research and picked up the game of shougi along the way. I had to help with some additional translation here and there on it, and translating all those terms is no easy feat, so you have her to thank ^^

Massive mermaid thanks to m.3.3.w for releasing seto no hanayome lately, a project that was kinda only continued as a side project from a member of gg (thanks to them also for not shleving it away permantly).
5 months of no TS'er.
To be honest, whatever basic styles were used in the end didn't make much of a difference.
Translation and interpreatation where spot on, inner jokes and tl notes were apt (i lmao at the wiki link, but it fit with that space dude was saying) xD
I had an amazing 25mins of laughter, so many many thanks for not giving it up, it sort of serves as inspiration for myself http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/mystiques_wish/Smileys/heart.gif

Also big thank you to Coalguys for Toradora!
Live-Evil, thank you for Nijuu mensou
Triad, thank you for Kaiji
B2E, thank you for One outs
the reason for my gratitude is that these groups are the only ones that subbed the shows.
Thanks for various subs, AF-F. It's sad to see you guys go, you were one of few high quality groups left.

Just for Clannad :
Here is a special THANK YOU to those people at SS & Eclipse as well as AQS-Sprocket-TWH for subbing such a fine 100/10 anime. And keep the widescreens coming, SS & Eclipse. ;)
Aoi-Anime for continuing Les Miserables Shoujo Cosette. Thanks for keeping it alive.
As no doubt many have done before me, I have come to express my thanks and appreciation to Static-Subs and Eclipse. Those teams have done a tremendous service for us all, offering one of the best fansubbing I've ever seen.
And of course, big thanks goes to a.f.k. as well. Dunno what I'd do without them, when it comes to some of my most favored shows. Too bad I haven't heard of them in quite some time. I'm a bit curious, considering their disappearance, if anyone knows anything about what happened to them, please, be so kind as to send a PM regarding this matter.

This is an incredibly special thank you to Kewl0210 for seeing a project that’s lasted 6 years, spanning 150 episodes.
Konjiki no Gash Bell, is a series I hold close to my heart ever since following the Anime-Empire releases back in 2004.
It’s a series that has always been under estimated and typically skipped over, thus there has been no real competition or desire for it by fansub groups.
Perhaps that was a blessing for Anime Destiny to be able to single headedly focus on this until the very end.
As illegal as this hobby may be and as of lately as harsh and brutal a world it has perhaps become, where people troll each other, release for fame and generally piss about, there are moments like this that just make you think,
“You know, this hobby isn’t so bad after all.”
It just simply depends on the reasons you engage in it.
One can only imagine the number of staff walking out, staff being fired, staff simply not doing their fair share, staff not being enough thus the project cannot move anywhere over 4 years of this, but somehow, in someway, Kewl0210 stuck it out and drove it forward until the very end.
For that, I tip my hat to you; you’re a true source inspiration as a human being for your incredible achievement, I don’t think too many fansubbers offline could say they’ve suffered and achieved such a thing, it’s surely something to be proud of. :)
At present, you deserve a long ass holiday, but should Anime Destiny continue with another new series (I know you’re still working on a few other Gash Bell stuffs), I look forward to your future releases. ^^
Once again, thank you very much for seeing this anime series until the very end. :kisskiss:

I would like to thank Chihiro for subbing series I enjoy and like very much (like ZKC, K-ON, Asura Cryin and a few more). So thank you and keep up the good work. I would also like to thank Ayako for subbing Minami-ke +sequels.
I want to give a VERY big thank you to the staff of Strawberry Mint Subs for releasing Yumeiro Patissiere!! This anime is really SWEET. :D
I would like to take the opportunity to thank GG subs for the wonderful job they have been doing .
But for one particular niche show actually highlighted there sincerity to the anime community in general . The show I am talking about it is Thriller Restaurant or Kaidan Restaurant , its a show for a younger audience that hasn't been very popular with the anime community . Being a fan of such shows I am delighted, as in the past shows like Nube Kitaro were dropped . I would hope GG continued what they are doing and continue bringing us Kaidan Restaurant . Cheers to GG Subs ^.^

I would like to thank all fansubbers, but especially:
Yuurisan-Subs: for the EXCELLENT Dance In The Vampire Bund fansub. You even went through the trouble of editing Mina's lines with archaic English to reflect her speech pattern. Thank you.
Mochi: For putting up with a translator who always causes delays, even though he doesn't mean it.
Mazui: For fansubbing Katanagatari, a pain in the ass to time, translate and edit.
My thanks go to Doki for doing a good job on Chu-Bra and Ladies vs Butlers.
