Are Lia (I've) and Riya (Eufonius) the same person?

I'm so confused... they have alternate romanizations of the same name, make songs for Key games (particularly Clannad), and they sound (to my ear) essentially the same. But they have different wikipedia.jp entries that list different CD releases and do not point to each other.

Am I alone in making this mistake, or is it not a mistake? Links to pictures of each of them, or some other 'hard' disambiguating information, would be appreciated.

You, alone, are mistaken. :) Lia doesn't sound one bit like Riya, so I'm not sure where you're getting this idea. It's like comparing Whitney Houston to Tina Turner.

Heh :) I never listen to live stuff as I have never heard any that sounded better than studio recordings, but thanks for the identifying traits.

Nope not the same at all. They don't even sound or look the same. Listen to more of their music and you'll see that your ear is wrong.

Nope....Both of them are the different person.....you can tell by hearing their voice.... :)

I've actually made this mistake when I first heard the theme songs from CLANNAD... the artist was listed as "Ria" in the tags, and while they didn't seem all that similar, for a short while I speculated that they were the same anyway.
