Does anyone else here like Shiina Ringo?
I really like her older stuff like Shouso Strip.
Tokyo Jihen are okay and stuffs but she's better solo.
Her new solo album sounds sort of like a cross between a Bond OST and a Broadway musical.
Anyway, I love her like hardcore. <3
Does anyone else?

She is simply the best... that's all I have to say.
I really like her, but I don't think there's a possibility for someone to listen to her best and still don't do. Her new collaboration CD with Saito Neko is amazingly charismatic, impressive how most of her works are at least worthwhile.
yes, I like Shiina Ringo.
Her first albam is simply awesome.
I especially like 'tadashii machi'
'kabuki chouno joou'
'koufuku ron'
Her voice somewhat reminds me of the songs i heard in my childhood.
I love Shiina Ringo! I absolutely love listening to her stuff. I'm not a really big fan in that I don't collect her PVs and keep up with the latest news but I've listened to most of her songs (and yes I even have an actual album of hers, or rather, Tokyo Jihen's.)
Never done this before so I must do it now - stuff by her that I like :)
Absolute best favourites
Marunouchi Sadistic (I just don't know why)
Gamble (maybe... not sure)
Love
Honnou
Ichijiku no hana
Kabukichou no joou
Karisome Otome
La Salle de Bain/Yokushitsu (the version on Heisei Fuuzoku is pretty much a favourite though)
Ringo catalogue
Ringo no Uta (not the Tokyo Jihen one)
Sakuran
Shuukyou
Tsumigi Asobi
Yattsuke Shigoto (first song I fell in love with)
Like
Aisaika no choushoku
Akane sasu kiro terasaredo
Aozora
Haiiro no hitomi (It's with the Spitz lead singer, how the hell could I not like it?)
Kono yo no kagiri
Mayonaka no junketsu
Meisai (the first song of hers I ever heard :))
Oiran
Sid to hakuchuumu
Yami ni furu ame
I might be missing something from there...
As for Tokyo Jihen, I don't know - I tend to like a larger percentage of their songs compared to her own ones, but the ones I like from her I tend to like more intensely than the Tokyo Jihen ones.
However, I LOVE the Tokyo Jihen live recordings (well some of them). So awesome. I so would love to go for one...

Shiina Ringo is one of my all-time favorites.
I saw Tokyo Jihen in concert almost two years ago, and it was one of the best concerts of my life...and I've been to A LOT of concerts.

^ - wtf Yotchan! You are one damn lucky ***. What favorite song do you like from Ringo? I personally love Akane Sasu Kiro Terasedo when I'm down.

I can't really say I have a favorite song, per se. My favorite ALBUM is definitely Karuki Zaamen Kuri no Hana. I love each and every song on that CD.
I've been listening to "Marunouchi Sadistic" a lot lately, though.
Have you heard the new album? I like it a lot better than Variety.
And yes, I am lucky. The Tokyo Jihen concert was sold out, but I wandered over to Zepp Tokyo anyway...and a girl sold me one of her extra tickets. :D

I'm quite fond of Ringo Shiina myself. Karuki Zaamen Kuri no Hana remains my favorite. Didn't care for Tokyo Incident that much.

Ah the new album? The one album with that song for the Smile Jdorama? Nope not yet, I'm still listening to her Adult album, I don't dig Variety that much, especially OSCA.
Gotta love Shuraba from Bokura Ongakku, and The Lady is a Tramp.
Here's some thought to share with you all, I personally believe Hirama Mikio is a better member for Tokyo Jihen than Ukigumo, I like both guitarists, but ever since Ukigumo replaced him I am seeing eccentricity all over him. Must be Hirama's suit from one of the TJ concerts, I got spelled bound! Haha, man I would love to wear that style.
@synaesthetic: Yeah Karuki Zaamen Kuri no Hana, this one is good too.
