Please adhere to the following rules:

Only ask for GIFs abiding by AnimeSuki Rules
Please be aware of the size limitations (http://forums.animesuki.com/faq.php?faq=rules&#faq_rules_3_1) as outlined in the forum rules (http://forums.animesuki.com/faq.php). Avatars need to be 100 x 100 and under 50kb, Signatures need to be under 500 x 160 pixels and 50,000 bytes.

Be Patient
Don't be impatient so don't keep asking for your avatar or signature, you will get them when you get them. If you want it sooner then go make them yourself. People are creating avatars & signatures on their on free time and as a favor to everyone.

Please specify episode and timeframe of the GIF
We're not mind readers. We do not know what you want, so give us something specific to work with. Be detailed about the description and make sure you keep the timeframe something like 2-3 seconds long.

Example:
I want a GIF from Episode 1 of where Kana-chan wipes her face with a towel. Timeframe of: 01:45-01:46.

Don't ask what software was used to create these GIF's.

I have a Sony w810i and am using the Kagami theme package someone linked to in the general thread...

It doesn't appear to come with a theme ringtone... but I like to use the light-hearted penny flute melody from Azumanga Daioh. I think its called "Maya To Ita Kisetsu". There's absolutely no one else in my city that uses it methinks and it turns heads...

This is optional, since it turns it into a .gif, but if you could or want, maybe have the animation of when Akira gets mad in the first episode. Timeframe would be 21:20-21 - 21:23, or use this avatar as a reference.

There needs to be a vector trace to make one of those signs. There just isn't one of Akira as of now, but I'm quite confident it won't take too long for one or more to pop out.

To imply she has lost her marbles is to imply she had marbles to begin with. I tend to go with the "Notally tucking futs" interpretation of Akira's character. If she ever does get control of a lot of money, she'll probably build an enormous private amusement park in Hokkaido and lure primary school girls to it.

If the GIF-maker did not state anything, it is generally courteous to state your claim for the GIF so as to prevent other people from asking for it as well (since it is usually awkward if two people wanted the same GIF at the same time).

Asking to use a particular GIF also ensures that you do not end up using a GIF that is already in use.

So in short, yes, please ask the creator permission to use the GIF; if the creator has not given carte blanche yet.

It was the very first one I tried to do! :heh: But trying to make it animated was a nightmare, and I ended up rejecting it (due to piss-poor graphic quality). If you see the URLs in my posted Ep03 avatars (http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=916387&postcount=59), you will notice that they start from "Kagami02" and not "Kagami01". :heh:

I don't usually do static avatars unless I am really compelled to. In Ep03's case, it was "Ponytail Kagami" that prodded me into making one, because PONYTAILS ARE WIN.

Okay! I discovered that I already own ImageReady, and someone mentioned cheerleaders! I know Miyuki rules, but she has competition in the "pink-haired moe" field. So here's my first attempt at animating a sig, for whoever likes:

Sorry the action is kind of jerky. In order to meet the size requirements I had to drop frames like crazy, it looked a lot better when it was a 110K file. :( Dropping the colors to 128 looked like poo too, with all the subtle shading going on in the background. If any of you experienced avatar-makers would like to give me some advice on improving this, I'd be glad for it. ::chucklez:: Advice other than "do something without that much freakin' motion", that is.

Ah.. sorry for cropping so severely, which is more or less 1 inch more than the other one. I happened to have the fansubbed version and couldn't do anyway else. I won't be so careless next time, if there will be one :)

@Skane: the reason is probably the same of above: I used the fansub version (24 fps) while you had the raw (120 fps) which makes things slower. Just that ... we're all humans here you know! :heh:

It does get easy. I hope you like them though if not I'll get rid of them =/ the twitch one was not that bad just getting the right timing. The stars were hard because they were all over the place and not alot of frames other than the doubles were there to support it. :upset:

Yeah the only problem would've been the centering, cause it seems hard to make a lot of ava's cause other characters hair gets too close at points.

I like them nontheless, at least if I tried they be slow or really crappy.

Last summer I was mistaken as a middle schooler. :heh:

"Wait, let me guess - you're in fifth or sixth grade, right?"
"Actually, I'm in 14th grade."

It's a bit of a pain when you go out during the daytime on weekdays, and people ask, "hey, aren't you supposed to be in school now?" and give you that look like they've caught you. :heh: Although... it's convenient being able to pass with a child bus ticket when you don't have enough money. :)
