++ Patlabor (1,2)
++ The DBZ's (all)
+++ Vampire Hunter D (both)
+ " Hirusakadoji - The Legend of the Overfiend" <-- to much sex, but cool story
theres a ton more but cant think of any off the top of my head

oh one thing, whats bad about a series being licensed vs. un-licensed?

oh one thing, whats bad about a series being licensed vs. un-licensed?
Being licensed means that a title is available domestically (usually referring to US localization) and that by downloading episodes (as opposed to buying it) is taking money away from domestic companies and hurting their profitability (less profit means the worse job they do/fewer series get licensed.) So, if you really enjoy a series invest your money in it and support the genre.
Unlicensed simply means that it isn't available domesitcally. There are many debates on the ethics and so forth, but as a for instance, AnimeSuki only lists unlicensed titles, and removes titles from their lists as soon as something is licensed.
As for recommendations:
As stated already, Full Moon wo Sagashite fits your bill perfectly. Since you really liked Angelic Layer (which is a CLAMP work) you might want to try some of their other titles, like Card Captor Sakura (NOT Cardcaptors) Magic Knight Rayearth, or Chobits (all licensed.)
General Recommendations:
Full Metal Panic (licensed)
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (unlicensed)
Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu

hope u like it
I highly recommend PARADISE KISS first. career and love. charming and irritating. it's not echii. but includes 1 or 2 hentai plays. but the ending is smashing. i dunno if u'd like it..
Second is>>>Sensual Phrase is over all about music. mishmashed with romance. NICE ONE.. maybe echii.
My top 3 would be>>>Boku wa Imoto ni Koi wo Suru<<<INCEST. better than yaois and yuris.
My top 4>>>Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru <<<The main character Mizuho is a nice guy who was born in a good family, smart, and moral. But one day, he has to transfer to a girl’s high school by his grandfather’s last will. Then, he has to disguise like a girl to go to the school…
well...Aishiteruze Baby, just another romance type of anime.. but cuter..sweet.
Also try to visit AnimeNfo.com
look for top 200 animes, new animes, and search in by GENRES...
echii, hs life, romance, mecha, music, mystery, action, adventure, comedy, yaoi, yuri, drama, some tragic...
I'm not in to actions/mecha/adventure and all that. my cds here and downloads are more on ROMANCE/HS LIFE/ some MUSIC/and...ECHII...>>genre<<
Looking through your list, you're more of an action/groups-of-people person, here's what I'd suggest:
1st, Hellsing - which one have you seen? :) there's the oldie-but-goodie, and then there's the OVA - which is coming out as we speak (3 episodes released, more to come).
Next, I'd recommend you check stuff like Naruto/Bleach/One Piece - FullMetal Alchemist you'd prolly enjoy as well.
Also try Eureka 7.
You have trigun and bebop listed there - so you might as well give "outlaw star" a try.

Never bought from them, but they have a good rep. I usually use DVDPriceSearch (http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/) for comparison shopping, but their listings aren't always up to date. I usually wind up buying from DeepDiscount (http://www.deepdiscount.com/) or Overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com/) online. Offline, BestBuy can be OK for store-only sales and new releases for $18-22, but they can also be lazy about re-stickering prices when the sales are over, so just have them double-check the price before buying.

if you liked the dbzs and you wanna see animes that wanna make you laugh / cry and stand up and cheer then you should defenitely see the obvious shows
Naruto / One piece. It's no romance tho, and I expect you're allready seeing them but didn't saw them mentioned at your favourites so thougth i just give you the tip in case.
And I second Shakugan no Shana. Busou renkin is action / romance to. Zero no Tsukaima is funny / action / with a bit of romance to.
