I just got here so I can't say anything bad about this place, even though there are rumors and urban legends of monsters running around and eating people. Even with that I'm not too worried, especially since I was reunited with an old friend of mine from 7 years ago. Her name is Clare and she goes to St. Rimuto's Academy for Girls. It's a really prestigeous school, one of the top 5 in the entire country. We met and talked for a while when we met on the bus again. I have to say that the uniform really makes her pretty. Her friends that were with her were really nice too (and pretty)...but I can tell she's changed a lot from when I knew her last. She seemed...distant even though she smiled warmly at me. I wonder why she says not to go around the city at night, especially the Academy grounds though. Zaki told me the same thing too before. Even so, they should know that saying stuff like that makes me even more curious. I wonder what's out there...

LOL, if you want it in closer context I was thinking of Raki meeting Clare a la Yuuichi-meets-Mai (from Kanon)...

Decision scenes:
1) Talk to Clare Y/N (at the edge of town)
2) Ask Clare various questions
3) Go with Clare/stay in town (after Zaki's death)
4) Go to sleep/stare at Clare

I can just begin to imagine once Clare meets the other Claymores - so many relationship paths to try, LOL! Would love to see Raki hitting on Galatea, Miria et al. (just to see their reactions), maybe even Helen... and maybe we can throw Ophelia in as an extra challenge ;-)

And we're not even getting to her main rival, Priscilla yet.

Lol, I actually did that. Its in my Photobucket, and I uploaded the ones that I thought were the best, some of them were too big for my account though or couldn't be accessed since it was in a sig. And obviously, its in the Claymore section. Wow, I hate wireless keyboards now, I can't type fast D: Vista looks nice, but I still think it sucks.

Is a translation really necessary? Frame 1 - Ophelia pressing Clare's head down. Frame 2 - Irene pressing Clare's head down. Frame 3 - Galatea pressing Clare's head down. All 3 scenes should be familiar enough. Frame 4 is just Clare being all touchy.

The words are too small to read anyway, but Frame 3 is Galatea saying "c'mon, be nice, stop making a racket"... something to that effect.

That's really nice, but if you chose to do more detailed shading it would be better. I prefer detail, but I procrastinate and crap, so it takes like 2 weeks to get one thing done lol.

Nothing special, i just used an outdated version of photoshop (7.0) to color those pics, the rest is about patience and imagination. (btw, i didnt use any wacom pencil, just mouse arrow. It took me about 30-60min for each pic) :D

Umm...since I used to be Photoshop-term-retarded too, I'll help you out. A render is like a picture, but when you open it, there isn't any extra stuff, just the image and no white crap/background around it so you can make wallpapers/sigs/etc. Was that any help?

Btw, anyone notice that the Galatea sketch's Claymore has the guard facing the wrong way?

oooh, so that is a render. Yeah, how do you do that?

You use the Pen tool(looks like a pen tip), go to the top left, look at it from the left and you should see 3 buttons with the options (Shape Layers, Paths, and Fill Pixels) Click Paths.

Click around the main parts of the picture, don't worry about the curves yet. After that, zoom in a bit if you need to, click on the line with the Pen tool still on(its always on), and use the arrow keys or Ctrl+left click to move it so the line matches the picture. Just experiment a bit to find what movements make it curve soandso, its not hard. Just keep doing that until your whole picture is outlined. If you want to cut out some of the other stuff inside the picture, Ctrl+left click somewhere not on the Path(line you're making), then start over again.

Once its all outlined, go to the bottom right, there should be a Paths tab there. Click it, select your path, right click > Make Selection > Feather Radius 0, Anti-Alias on, New Selection. Once thats done, you should have your picture selected. Press Ctrl+C or Ctrl+X. Now go to File > New... > Custom, RGB color, Transparent > OK > Ctrl+V. Then just save it as a .png file, scroll down in the format chooser thing when you save.


You want the path to be directly on the lines of the picture.

Ooo, I'm probably not the best guy to ask about that as I still have my training wheels on atm.

I do have a few links with tutorials in vectoring sketches etc, though it's on my XP OS and I'm currently booted into Vista (dual boot).
I would have a stab at google to pick up a few in the meantime.

Hopefully some of the other members would be able to better guide you in the right direction and give you some tips (and I'll be reading them too ;) ) as there really are some excellent pieces of work here.

The official site and the TV series show it with two equal bars (i noticed in the manga they are asymmetric) you know if it is really supposed to be like that or their mistake? OR maybe they just though that 2 symmetric bars are easier to draw for animation? bleh :)

Like that there are other examples where symbols differ in the TV Series, i wonder why if is the same story based in the manga O_O

I think the author never organizes the symbols of claymores... probably drawing with his memory and preference. And, yeah, there are probably many mistakes during the production of the animation; I am not surprised that difference of symbols and etc.
