Re: Live action Claymore, unfortunately no living actor could do justice to any of the Claymores though I'm sure you could find some loser to play an annoying Raki. :heh: Unquestionably any studio's choice for the Teresa role would result in me throwing up in my mouth. A lot. It would make a neat film if done well, which would never happen in this universe... The anime ending was enough butchery for me.

A little photoshp would make them look like claymores probably. You should photoshop before posting :). They are all a bit too old looking though. Jessica alba looks like Teresa it's just she's just doesn't have the strong presence.

haha, glad everyone likes that quiz. I was hoping for Teresa but got Miria and I wrote the thing. My little brother hasn't even read the manga and he got Teresa. Mataku. Oh well. I really liked Sanae's post with the different pics. Uma Thurman would make a very interesting Teresa. I didn't even think of her.

I like Lilu from the fifth element as well. She was fun to watch fighting aliens, so why not youma? If they did do a live action (which they wont, I'll have to use my millions to do it myself or at least get the animated series finished) I'd hope they followed the pattern of 300 and take everything as much from the comic as possible. Watching that movie was so strange because it was like I had seen it already from the comic. Claymore wouldn't be a live action movie, it would be a live action manga :)

Incidentally, she is holding a shuttlecock. They are dressed for New Years and are going to play a game of hanetsuki, or badminton. Clare is holding the bat. In the game, anyone who misses a shot gets a mark painted on their face. Depending on how long they plan the game one would end up having many marks on their face.
So, Clare doesn't seem up to having Ophelia do something else to her face.

Isn't it. If they are going to be one of Warcraft class/race, they would have difficult to win other war faction. Even they are strong on land, they lack air power and marine might. The dragons and eagle riders would make them run around. Boosting power to 100% would help, but it would make them disoriented.

Big fan of Claymore I am, and also happens that very big fan of Clare. Throughout all series my fav moment in ED was when Clare with her eyes closed flashes, and now I decided to recreate it with colors and make some nice background with it. Cant say Im good with it, but here I go - my first introduction to vector graphics:

Those things behind her shoulders are the holder for her sword. It isn't exactly a sheath; it's more of a hook.

They are actually on her back, not her shoulder. To put it in persepective, the larger one is to the right of her neck and other looks smaller because it is further from the viewer, positioned to the left of her neck. Got it?

I also skipped a couple pictures people said were claymore pictures but were clearly just some other fantasy drawings.

Now it is 910 images (give or take) and 145 MB (zipped)... lol Ill try to split it and put it on rapidshare

Does anyone have a version of this that is either bigger, lacking the background detail or best of all, in a vector format? I've seen a few different versions of this around but so far this was the best. I'm no artist so I'm resorting to using Stanford's vector magic site and then fixing it up manually, but so far the results are a little disappointing.

I'm planning on getting it laser etched onto a glass shelf door, so I want to get a good vector to reduce any artifacts due to low dpi (since they actually etch from rasters, and at 20" or so wide this image would only be about 50 dpi, pretty crappy.)

Yeah i thought that is what fanart was all about (kinda like fansubs), but i guess some people got some crazy notions that they obtain some sort of exclusivity/distribution rights with their illegal derivative work lol

Vectoring is uber. Once you mastered the pen tool in illustrator, you can do just about anything. I'm still a newbie though. What is fan yoki? Is that just coloring? I wouldn't brag about that. I dont do fanart to beat people.

Before illustrator I had to draw by using the pencil/brush tool in photoshop, it was horrible. ~_~ Now, if I master the pen tool in illustrator it would look a lot better.

nah took a screenshot from the series and vector traced it. Added some of my style to it though. I got so into doing it that I didnt sleep till 5am. The good thing about illustrator is that changing colors is a snap. I like the messed up shading look (err maybe its laziness) so I'll leave it like this haha.

I could only read parts of the Flora comic. Not enough to provide a full translation.

After Flora kills the Claymore who sent her the black card, she says something like "The only who should be sorry is me" and "You must really hate me, (____)" after killing her. I don't know how to read a lot of the Simplified Chinese so I don't know the name of the other Claymore (first character is read as "ai").

The other Claymore has the Uma complex where she feels useless; when she first sees Flora she says that "I really am useless" because Flora is the No. 8 and she is only No. 42.

Quick Flora doujin translation: Flora saves No. 42, who quickly develops affections for her and they touch swords promising to fight again shoulder to shoulder someday. Seems 42 has an Uma complex as she keeps saying how useless she is, and is always apologising.

2 years later she gets a black card from Miss 42 (whose name seems to sound phonetically similar to "Aika"), and she sets out. It turns out a Yoma got to her first, but instead of going AB and fighting the Yoma off, "Aika" grits her teeth and died as a Claymore.

The Yoma takes her disguise, fails to ambush Flora. Flora comments that he finally reveals his true self, and gets questioned about her failure to kill him immediately if she knew his true form. Yoma brags about how he killed "Aika", and the part where he describes her insistence on dying as a human despite being just inches away from awakening pisses Flora off. Flora dispatches him easily, with a passing remark that a monster like him will never understand the feelings of humans.

This time it's Flora's turn to apologise, since she can't even fulfill "Aika's" dying wish to be killed at Flora's hands. She decides to repent by living for Aika ("taking on Aika's share of life?" Not too sure how to translate this...), and bids her farewell.
