I'm sure it's quite clear by now that there's nothing sacred in Claymore. Yagi-sensei plays with his characters (and us, by extension) like pieces on a chessboard.
Anyone managed to find chess-piece-sized figurines of characters?

Well, Naruto's world has always been a little special. For example, if a ninja has no chakra left he's almost dead, buf if an EMO uchiha is out of chakra, he can perform a super-magnificent-huge-flash-dragon-no-jutsu... ^^

She was never considered a godess of love, because she never had a consort or lover and was known as Athena Parthenos ("Athena the virgin"). I think you might be cofusing her with Aphrodite (AKA Venus), she is the Greek goddess of love, lust, beauty.

Athena was the main goddess in the game, but Aphrodite, the goddess of love, was also in the game. In the first God of War, she was the one who told you to rip off Medusa's head from her body so that you can use it to petrify your enemies.
Athena and Minerva are the same person, just different Greek/Roman names for her. Like how Zeus and Jupiter are the Greek/Roman names for the ruler of the gods.
Her attire in Saint Seiya and Crisis Core are similiar, much like in many other works of fiction.

Well, yeah. I struggled a bit for the suggestions. For most of the ladies, their personalities and looks don't really match. I don't think that Teresa was ruthless enough to be Hera.
Galatea and Miria: a toss-up between wisdom and nature. I thought Miria looked better in a helmet than Galatea. Also, Galatea's height reminded me of a story about Diana. That chap whom she turned into a deer. The nymphs tried to shield her from view. But, she was too tall.
Cupid: Now, there's really only one boy in Claymore now, right?

1) Well we laready saw Teresa as Athena Parthenos, the drawing was great so I think that's done.
2) Miria is a good choice for Astraea ("star-maiden") - the goddess of Justice, or
Metis (she's Athena mother) the goddess of wisdom and deep thought.
3) "Hera Argeia" was the goddess of women and marriage, she was the older sister and wife of Zeus; due to his unfaithfulness Hera became very jealous, and was know to punish her husbands lovers ruthlessly and cruel, the same with their children, or even kill them. Good choice for of Ophilia, cuz she had the same duality - a smart, ruthless killer; then again a gental soul who suffered a lot.
4) "Galatea" is the name of the Sicilian nereid (sea nymph) in love with Acis; then there was another Galatea - Galatea, the wife of Lamprus, who prayed for her daughter to be turned into a son; and there were 2 more - one was a mythical queen of Crete, the other mythical queen of Cyprus. A lot of possibilities here.

I never played CC but it seems Genesis was utterly mesmerized by her. At first I thought she was his enigmatic mother figure, just like Jenova was Sephiroth's.
In anycase, it's an awesome idea to epitomize the claymores as goddesses. :bow:

I did it all directly on photoshop 7.0 (even the drawing), i think its not a vector because photoshop does not work with vectors o_o

I think after seeing the amount of posts made here and the fact that you guys are about 5% of claymore fandom, the studio would consider making a second season.
Ahaha.. but I believe this 5% in here don't really want a new season based on filler episodes not from the manga since we know when they tried to give the anime a new ending, they screwed it up.

It is good for a begginers, but you should use darken/lighten tool to add shadows. Use them around 10 opacity with short, but many clicks. But don't listen to me, i'm a noob at those things.
The shadow/lights define the quality of your image :)

It is the fingers that usually get me. The eyes are just a very odd color. Dead Grey I think would describe it best. But his coloring is usually pretty good and the picture ideas are fun. If nothing else he is prolific.
I have never noticed the fingers before, but yeah the colouring is pretty good.

Priscilla is THE strongest creature alive in Claymore world that we know of.
Also I'd say that Luciella has the edge over Isley. She wasn't damaged as Isley was (from the outside at least). She could run away while Isley couldn't chase her out. Luciella definitely has the edge.

Priscilla did not start the fight with Isley. She is strong but she may not be fit for battle. Take Teresa for instance. She could have massacred the death squad sent to kill her at any point she wanted to. But she did not want to and got killed by a cheap shot. Priscilla did not want to kill Isley or Rigald even though they wanted to kill her. As Rubel said, "even among Awakened Beings, she is best." Her mental state is another matter, but she will not die easily.

That's true, I feel that the maker of these cards should improve the statistics of many of these cards. For example, Deneve's defence points should definitly be higher than Helen's. However, each of the cards has a special ability that makes it quite formidable.
