It's because they look and sound ludicrous that you have to look at it humorously :heh:;)

It IS weird that a Claymore play is being done; after all, the actual manga isn't completed yet. Nevertheless, even though I've never seen an actual play like this, I think it's meant to be comical if anything else.:)

After all, is a musical the first thing you think of when you think of Claymore? I cannot believe they chose a male to play Luciella(if that really is a male and not an old woman, can't tell) seriously, the whole thing is meant for laughs. As for it being low-budget, it's a manga. I'm not well versed exactly with these sorts of performances, but I can't imagine them having/being given Broadway budgets.;)

Don't forget Serrintine, Claymore isn't exactly the biggest nor the most popular manga around. Not only is it meant for laughs, it's probably only meant for fans who actually know it either; probably a big reason for the low budget.

Of course we can make fun of it, but I think that was the intention more then anything :p:heh:

results:
a) galatea in dark-green/grey robe looks pretty cool :D
b) the church walls in yellowish sandcolor instead of dull grey are also potentially nice, but not if the yellow is too bright :heh:
c) I'm just no good with aquarellic crayons... I'll have to go back to acrylic and brush, which means I'll have to do the panels double the size because with a brush the details at this scale are a b*** .. damn:frustrated:

you should try to improve the facial proportions and shapes, try to learn the diferences between male and female drawing, because even though they are well drawn both of your sketches have somewhat "male" facial factions

Well...everything i did was getting used to my wacom...then i could screw as much i wanted without making a 1 ton of paper waste :D
I still dont use body models i do it by eye...i think when i start using them i will improve even more :D

that's definetly caska. her me likes :D veeeery beautiful. veeery cool character - and mind I haven't even started on the manga yet, that's just from having a short look at the anime... anyhow, if somebody could give a translation of that crossover pic would be nice :D

I don't mind at all :). For a quick painting, that was awesome! I've been seriously thinking about painting. Now seeing what you did, it gives me inspiration to pick up some coloring tools from nearby art supplier store and start practising :)
