I agree with you guys, and don't anyone say anything bad about Robin's work, they are dazzling. The Helen pic done was the best one for me, liked it so much that I used it for my desktop wallpaper for quite some time.:):heh:;) And I like the way his name was inscribe on the armor plate(front) although he also did provide me with a nameless one on my request.:)

There's other images with Claymore characters with needles. I can recall Nurse Luciela with a giant needle and Nurse Ophelia pinning Clare about to inject her with a needle.

The fight is part of a flash back a Claymore is having (or so I gathered from the rest of the images in the series, there seems to be no text). One of the Claymores watching the fight between Flora and Ophelia is the Claymore that requested Clare to rescue Jean and the rest of the hunting party... (I believe her name was Raquel or was that the dead Claymore in the corner). Well anyways she was recalling her life while dying in Clare's arms. She seemed to be friends with Flora and recalled her beating up Ophelia upon her death along with being kidnapped by the org, Duff beating Jean's hunting party, and a yoma hunt.

The Whole Series in the Order I found them in... Which makes little since. :heh:

Got the idea of putting Raphaela in a Halloween Costume. So I edited two Claymore pics together and this was my finished product. Now I only have paint so I know there's flaws but it's still so funny. I'm using a cropped version as an Avatar for Halloween... So I'm go back to my old Avatar after Halloween.

That's a good pic of Clare @JB, but I think the pic is a little bit out of proportion. I mean the way the head is placed between the shoulders is a little odd for me. Feels almost like the head had been copied or cut and pasted separately.:) I think it gives out a more male vibe than a feminine one.:)

By luck I got my own copy of Corel Painter today... So the first thing I did was test my skills on coloring a Claymore page. All in all I think I did rather good, especially since it was my first time using the program and that I haven't used any programs other than paint in over 10 years. Well enough bragging and more sharing, here is my work... Oh, please tell me what you think (coloring, shading, lighting, etc).

Encase anyone was wondering I spent about 5 hours on it... most of that was me messing up and restarting. :heh:

Oh, I was never satisfied with any color I mixed together for Clare's skin... so I left her pale white :p

Edit: Maybe I should get a deviantart account and post it there too... wonder what there rules are...

I debated just that... I went with purple for Clare's background to show Clare was focusing of Priscilla and I put brown for Priscilla's background since Clare fully believed, at that point, she was on Priscilla's mind. I could easily change it... Are you suggesting a black background for all 3 panels?

Edit: I did use Red for the "Thump" sound effect to indicate the danger though.

Most Awakened Priscilla works I've seen use white... just with lots of shading. I tried to find a good white shading color but kinda failed, so I left it pure white. I'll likely fix it in version 2 also... when/if I ever get around to it. :heh:

Actually I picked that very page since there is so few colored pages from early in the story. Also, I don't know why but the image of Clare showing pure fear always got to me. So I felt the need to start with that page. I'll probably do a few more practice images and then start coloring some Teresa pages... also due to her having so few Colored pages when compared to characters still alive. I might also do some Ophelia images for that reason too. Or maybe, I'll do the whole Chapter I just started :heh: no promises though :p

I'm assuming you mean a tablet and pen... no I own one but my OS tells me it's incompatible even though the product tells me it is... I must need an update or something...

First I just used a magic wand and paint bucket to lay down the main color. Clearly followed by shading/lighting using a tool for lighting is called "dodge" and, for shading, a tool called "burn". Then I used a colored brush (the only real tool to add color, that I've figured out, in this program other then paint bucket) over it to better perfect the shading/lighting followed by another dodge/burn. Then I repeated as needed. This method worked wonders especially on the ground and hair.

In most of the repeat steps, I used a more detailed brush and less focused burn/dodge. Though some times I used a more focused burn/dodge but for less time.

It was on someone facfic site... forget where though and didn't read any of it (was on an image hunt not a fanfic hunt). I posted them since the drawing/coloring was good quality. Anyone with paint can remove the text and add the correct text back or crop the text out altogether.

As a staunch defender of baseball from the impurities of unstoppable wealth, I think someone ought to even up the score some day and show Riful wearing a Marlins hat. After getting a copy of Corel Painter last week I couldn't resist picking up a copy of photoshop. I was just messing around with the layering effect... to refresh my memory of layering. So I grabbed some random Claymore pics and before I knew it I had put something kinda nice together which I felt like sharing. Now I didn't do any of the art work... I just layered it together.

I had no intent on making a ghost collage when I started but it kinda turned out that way... maybe I was subconsciously motivated by the chance of a season 2, look on the Requests for new threads thread for details. http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=2740132&postcount=512 Hopefully, it turns out to be true. :D

Well I held off on rating it until you take a look at my comment on it. I was absolutely thrilled with your choice of music in the first part, but the second part's music doesn't really fit and it has a slightly jarring and startling transition to it. You're on the right track though...a few revisions to music and you'll have a 5-star music video tribute to Teresa in my opinion.

Keane's "Bad Dream"-if you used it I'd recommend it being used more as a flashback tool. But in my opinion it isn't quite somber enough...hmm, I'll have to see what I can think up for you.

Ah, is that so? Well don't worry, there is always another piece of music that'll work for this, trust me on that. The key for you is getting it to be tough-enough sounding, having lyrics to fit the scenes (if possible), while maintaining a bittersweet or somber tone. Anything about dying would be a good song to look at if only to compare it against what you have. If this were just pure battle scenes then "Screamo" would work, but you've got it looking more like a tragic tribute to a great character, which I can really appreciate.

The problem the video seems to have is it has split-personality disorder; on the one hand it has the REALLY TOUCHING scene with Claire holding Teresa's head looking devastated and then you jarringly transition into this metal music. It has to be one or the other...either somber or kick-ass. Having both does a disservice to the otherwise excellent video you have created. Teresa's death at the end in particular was a nice touch.

Maybe the "Pumpkin King" can recommend you some music to go with the video's latter scenes. (I'm looking at you Shiek!)

I can't watch it because I keep getting errors(blame youtube more then you), however, going by what Revan is saying, I can already tell you I'm not crazy for metal or heavy rock. If the beginning is somber, it should stay that way, and if the music changes, it shouldn't be the complete otherside of the spectrum.

That's one of the all-time Claymore classics, judging by the view count and viewer ratings of it. It gets particularly good after the minute mark.

In contrast to it, the very same video maker used two musical tracks for his equally classic "Claymore 60" music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCV-a-qIsiQ

Both were beautifully done, so don't take everything you hear as "the rule".

Claymore 61 was, if anything, even better work than 62 or 60, but tragically the inclusion of the "Godfather" theme was enough to get its audio disabled. What a terrible waste...it was used so well when Galatea went to visit the Organization's headquarters. Mob music really suits the Organization in my opinion. They both work on similar moral principles.

It also fits the battle scenes better than some of the songs previously suggested. I'm sure there's a better song out there, but this is a great improvement on "Screamo".

Yes, I'd definitely go with Shiek's advice posted above. This video is needing the "tragic" touch to go with the opening music. I'd also suggest something more classical in nature to fit with your opening music's style. While the music you sent me is an improvement, its style and mood do not totally fit with the outstanding early part of the video (to 1:11). That part made me want to keep watching again and again. The correlation between music and images were amongst the best I've seen in Claymore fan vids. What came afterwards just begs for someone to revise it in my opinion.

If you're going to create a new video, you might as well start with posting that opening 1:11 as a standalone video. Then once you've got time for editing add in another portion after it and upload the result as yet another new video. The result will be two outstanding videos (one shorter) than merely one.

So that was what Shiek was prattling on about! I'm surprised someone else didn't take that before now, given its relation to the manga in original Japanese.

I thought I'd post a good video of the music fitting the scene to get some definite idea of what I'm talking about. I think you can note easily enough how well the music gets one in the right frame of mind for reading the chapter's battle scenes.

It may be in Spanish, but one can appreciate the work regardless. That's how your video ought to be (I don't mean feel the same as this video's themes, but rather offer an emotional impact regardless of language of the viewer).
