...also, <3 @ more Hiyori:love:
Okay.. those pictures were telling the truth. We learn a bunch of new stuff from the episode, and it's very funny.
How many know about the person Shinji has a crush on? It's none other than Orihime-chan. Man, she is adorable. But, how does she able to intrude in the supposedly unbreakable ]kekkai (barrier) by Haachi? More mystery. Seems like Orihime is also growing without her knowing about it either because she doesn't know why she is able to pass through the barrier. So, when she passes thorough the Kekkai, and goes downstairs, everybody stares at her. Orihime sweetly queries,

Pardon me. Where is the toilet?
:heh:
Hiyori is sizing up Ichigo with her sandal. Last time I observed how she is a better fighter with her sandal, and looks like the Oda also saw it that way. She also Ichigo to address her more respectfully by adding san after her name, so it will be Hiyori-san. I also think the lowly Ichigo shouldn't forget his place when addressing the mighty Hiyori-san. :heh:
Renji once, again, becomes the butt of those joke for freeloading. We also get a hint about how strong Urahara's bankai might be. He is very reluctant to release his bankai just for the sake of training Chad. I'm betting his bankai sets of a minor stellar explosion that usually can destroy few solar system without much trouble. :heh: The mystery surrounding Urahara only grows.
Last, but not least, the hot-kitty-kat finally shows up again. And it seems she is burdened with Orihime-chan's training, but for some reason, Orihime is seen to be running away in the preview for the next episode. Don't run away Orihime-chan. You need to shed your useless girl status, so you can actually be useful instead of feeling sorry about yourself at your own uselessness most of the time.
Hinamori brought down the mood a little bit at the beginning of the episode, but it also demonstrated how deep of an impression Aizen can leave on a person. Hinamori is sweet, but at the same time, a gullible buffoon. I hope she is right about Aizen though since she thinks that even Aizen must have a reason behind why he is pursuing the path he is currently undertaken... well, what ever that may be.
Somewhat long post inside with my own impression of the episode. I've given it a 8.2 because of the comedy and the bunch of new things we have learned from the episode. Animation isn't that impressive. Sugita Tomokazu also seems to be getting used to this kind of role where the show doesn't require him to console every other girl in the picture, aka, a harem lead. He was actually funny for a few brief moments as Kensei. Btw, I've just noticed that Ishida's father is voiced by the same seiyuu, Ohkawa Toru, who also voiced Kariya. No wonder Ishida's father is so cool.

Yeah, the animation wasn't very impressive. There are also a few more recycles (very obvious ones) of the same movements in the episode, but the episode makes up for it with all the humor and interesting information. Plus, there is Ururu-chan for everyone's viewing pleasure, regardless of the fact, she is shown only for a couple of seconds.

Yeah it feels like the calm before the Orihime storm. I worry each episode, "Is this the one?"
Will Uruhara's comment about what sado's power feel likes be revealed later? I hate when they do that, drives me nuts just like when Byakuya said his infamous "It's as if...."

Nice of them to squeeze in Ishida's training into like 3 minutes. Well at least Chad is working on getting rid of his useless status, being chased down by Renji's bankai has to do something.

Nice episode, the pacing was pretty good I thought. Hinamori is definately still unstable. I'm guessing at some point in time she'll betray Hitsugaya and the Shinigami all over again to be with her infallible Aizen.
I did notice a few weird things in this episode though. The effects on Hachi's voice was kind of weird, when it zoomed up on Orihime and said something like: "It's difficult to believe that a human is capable of that" (in reference to her slipping past the barrier). Also was strange for the music they used when Yoruichi showed up, seemed kind of 'dark.' I am interested in what Urahara has to has to say next episode. I don't know, those scenes just seemed to stick out to me.
So, based on the reply here, without watching the episode yet.. I'm safe to keep my last week promise to go apeshit this episode right? Regarding Momo ?
:frustrated: Momo.. KONO BAKA YAROU!!!! :frustrated:
Thanks.. I feel better now ^_______________^

It's not his glasses I was looking at.. it;s his bow.. it seems to change shape and size every time you see it.. it starts off small and with one handed machinegun action.. but it grows and suddenly he needs to pull the arrow back..
don't know if this is normal for him or it's just weird :D
well at least the last few minutes of the episode were nicely animated
Yoruichi
2007-05-17, 04:29
Yay Yoruichi-chan is back! But yeah like noir senshi said about the ominous atmosphere when Yoruichi confronted Inoue, I thought bad things and was like oh no, maybe a shapeshifter, but then I knew my imagination was going into overdrive. Also as the Wanderer said about Sandle Hat getting Renji to train Chado, his bankai is prolly one you can't #$%@ with or your toast. Just the same way you wouldn't ask Byakuya to train someone like Chad, he'd be ripped to shreds.
Momo gone coocoo, I don't think she will ever be the same again. I see her somehow getting back to Aizen, Aizen charming her once again and using her as a bargaining chip, I hope that don't happen though. The only thing to help Hinamori would be a SS shrink, and if they don't have one handy they will need to use the closest person to that... cue Dr. Kurotshuchi Mayuri. On second thought I dunno if I'd want him poking around in my head. :eyespin:
Greeny googles was cute in this one the way she argued with Kensei "See, See? You're a dummy Kensei! And a meanie!" Of course Hiyori is always cute in her tomboyish Vaizard kind of way. Lisa seemed to act as though she was somewhat attracted to Orihime. :eyebrow: Taking her side and implying she's cute. Hmm but the question is now that Ichi knows about the key to end all keys, will the other Vaizards even care. Ichigo seems brimming with confidence now, which is good mind you, but, you thought he was cocky before, he better watch himself cause I'm pretty sure he ain't all that just yet.
I like when Urahara was talking about Sado and how his powers have room to grow and if he continues his training against Bankai he will take them to the next level, let's hope it's worth the wait. He did mention about Chad and Orihime's powers not being like Shinigami or Quincy. So perhaps when a human masters their reiatsu they will be another species/type of being altogether, rather interesting. The same way Tatsuki, Karin ect. could fall under that catergory.
Ishida, I have a little more respect for him now. Since he could dodge and put up with all the attacks thrown at him by his dad for such a long time, and unable to go on, but still digging down to keep it up, props to the Quincy. Then he had the right idea but pulled out the wrong trick and got skewered. I was like oh shit, but then when his dad explained things I was like ah cool. Things just keep getting better, hopefully next episode will show more of Aizen and the goings on in HM. Two weeks to ponder.. nooooooooo!!
good episode, only irritating thing was Ryuken's growing/shrinking bow.

I feel bad for Hinamori, she's made some strides in her recovery but its a long road. Not all that surprising since was the most manipulated and mentally damaged by him. The first part of the conversation was nice since you could see them dealing with what happened and getting their relationship back to normal.
Poor Hiyori feeling bad that Shinji was calling all the other girls his first love and not her. Hiyori and Ichigo seem to be working well together, though the guy has to find some way to deal with the dreaded sandal attack.
Seems like Ishida has had a pretty tough time. His father doesn't seem to be the type to hold back at all and really put Ishida against the wall before shooting him. What a weird relationship those two have, heck Ishida's father just confuses me to no end. Not like Ishida made the wrong choice with his last move but he just didn't want to kill his father. His plan had been to restrict his father and put an end to what seemed to be a pointless training. How a man talks so calmly after shotting his son milimetres away from his heart is something I can't understand.
Good episode, Bleach seems to be moving at a nice page. Although, for a second there I thought the filler team did a good job again, adding the idea that Aizen is after the King's Key (or is this in the manga like I truly believe). Isn't the anime getting really close to the manga? I wonder what will happen then......

For a episode that revolved mostly about just training, it was pretty good and very well paced. Hinamori scene was very impressive, her character is interesting IMO, still veru unstable.
The conversation between the Vaizards was great, Shinji being awesome as usual. Yay at Yoruichi finally showing up again. Renji/Chad and Ishida/Ryuken training could have used better animation but oh well.
And that last of shot of Ishida fallen on the ground with the arrow pierced through his chest looked awesome in the manga, but they they barely showed it for one second. >_>
Anyways, seems like next episode it will be the next step of Inoue becoming Emohime.

Yes the King's Key is in the manga^^
Mod souls are the only fillerstuff at the moment.
I think we will be save for around 20 or 30 episodes. The only thing I'm afraid of is that there isn't a good place to add a fillerarc right now.
Hearing about that the girl with the green hair could transform without practicing before made me wonder how strong she is.
Last part was pretty cool. And what's with the shinigami golden is back. I expected another teaching hollow lesson.
Maybe they will switch from week to week.

they should release omake episode showing history of vaizard. then maybe they will slip in fan service scene with mashiro and risa-chan fighting against nanao-chan, matsumoto, and ururu......in swimsuit......now that's a good episode......
i don't know why everyone think hiyori is cute. Even shinji didn't think so....and i agreed with him.....:heh:

Orihime's reason for entering was very clear: not because her powers are like a hollow.. but because her powers also work with barriers.. she said "it kinda reminds me of my Shun Shun Rika shield" and old pinkyhair also said he felt she had skills with barriers simmilar to his own. + Urahara was talking about Chad.. not Orihime.

The reason why Urahara refuse to use his Bankai to train would most probably be because there would be nothing left of Chad to train after Urahara releases his Bankai. So he decide to send him "the noobiest Bankai" to train with dear Chad.
Hinamori is also so wrong. Its like one of those psycho shows where the victim never recovers. Now, that would be bad.

Despite her overloyality, I really wonder if Hinamori is the only one of the shinigamis, who was heading to the right direction concerning Aizen.
Makes me think that Yamamoto knows more than we know and he wanted to stop it before Hitsugaya might get some "bad ideas". Plus, I don't trust Yamajii at all for some reason. He, the strongest of the strongest of all Shinigamis, let Aizen slip away with this "Yeah well, shit happens"-attitude.
FlareKnight
2007-05-17, 20:31
Somehow I don't think Aizen has any positive reasons for his actions. Admittingly you can't trust the old guy completely. AFter all he let a guy like Mayuri who is about as bad as Aizen be a captain.
Really think he stopped her from ranting since it wouldn't do her much good. Going through that train of thought would just keep injuring her mind. Plus Hitsugaya has a job to do out there and having her ranting on his mind wouldn't help him either.
Really just want to see the poor girl eventually recover. At least the coma has passed.

the 'Number one' rip off when hiyori was training ichigo sounded like the ghost buster theme during the 80s. A good question for renji to ask would be urahara's bankai, though i doubt we'll ever see it considering how he always let others do the fighting and dirty work (i.e. housework) :p

Think Urahara is just too lazy to train Chad personally. lol
Also a little of a loophole around - Chad at this moment of so weak that i think Renji will beat easily with just shunpo alone.

Good episode aside from the recycled scenes
To me the highlight for the episode was Ichigo's misadventurous training with Hiyori.
She was practically kicking him as a ball about three times when he collided with a rock on each one, got up, and received a "kiss" of Hiyori's feet.
The best part came next after Orihime left when Lisa complained to Shinji about him saying her the first love thing, like he did to Orihime, and Hiyori went bananas because Shinji did not tell her the same.
Right at the moment Ichigo comes on screen to cut her down with great force, and she simply bats him away like a fly with a hand swipe.:heh:
Chad's power seems pretty spooky.... not a shinigami, not a quincy. Whats more, a few scenes after that is said, ichigo's hollow mask appears. Ominous feeling? Maybe in a few chapters we'll see chad getting a hollow mask and owning renji XD
@knetter: wow, a red pineapple actually exists o.O nice find XD
Good episode...thought I was going a little batty with the repeated scenes (same sandal to the face, exploding rock...you all pointed it out...). The biggest problem is that Ichigo wasn't taking the training seriously (never really has)...he's always so reserved, taking a butt kicking because he doesn't want to injure his training partner...but at the same time, still getting stronger...same training scenario as always...he got a little more serious about it after talking to Orihime.
It was interesting that they cleared up the reason Orihime could sense Ichigo when Rukia and the others couldn't...same shield blah, blah, blah...she's been silently getting stronger in the background...remember the comments about her healing everyone way faster than when she was in the SS...both her and Chad really need to pick it up in order to even remain a supporting cast.
As for Chad and Renji...Renji's Bunkai is slow (still powerful), and still new to him...you could say that Renji is in just as much need of training as Chad (ok, not just as much, but he still needs to work with it), and this was a way to allow him to save face. BTW, Renji hasn't asked Urahara anything yet...he's doing this because Urahara will answer "any" question that Renji has...implying that Renji has been wanting to ask him a question for some time now. It'll be fun to see if Chad lives up to the hype.
As for the Quincy training...Uryu's a sell out...it's good that he got his powers back, but the price was too high...he walked away from his friends like they were nothing...he's got a serious character flaw...and for what, because he was afraid of life without his "Quincy" powers? Anyway, if he ever does get back into the group with Ichigo and company, then he'll have broken his vow and revealed yet another character flaw...he should've stood by his friends and found another way to get his powers back...he can't be trusted.
K, enough ranting for now...I really enjoyed the episode and I too wish I could do a Bleach Marathon and catch the next 20-30 episodes...but it wouldn't stop there, I'd just want more again...so two weeks it is...hopefully, they'll put a little more time into the details...

He wasn't their friend to begin with. He hates shinigami, for what they did to his people. He only allied with Ichigo and his real friends do extract some revenge.
And a final music bit: I thought the piece when Orihime enters (14:00 - 14:45) had a wonderfully cheesy, 60s psychedelic / 70s funk vibe going on. Only fit a little bit, but I thought it was awesome :D

I'm surprised no one is wondering how Yamamoto knocked out Momo with his hand....he must really be powerful and I agree he feels like a shady character.
Good episode for me. Yay Hiyori she had the funny scenes oh and green hair vizard was funny too, momo pissed me off!
You have to understand Hinamori was manipulated from the get go pretty much.
Of course she seems to have gone insane , she believes what she wants to believe because it is too traumatic for her otherwise.
I don't have too much to say about the episode otherwise (well manga stuff but that is against rules)

Anyone who can lit himself/herself on fire without using a matchstick or a lighter has to be powerful. :heh: These kind of old men have earned the right not to have them question about their abilities to do certain things such as knocking useless gullible girls with their dried out, zombie looking hands. That hand sure is creepy. :heh:
I'm more curious about how Orihime is able to enter, an otherwise, impregnable barrier. She also was able to sense Ichigo's reiatsu when Rukia commented in an earlier episode, that how Ichigo's reiatsu seem to have completely disappeared. Another mystery. There is always that Urahara's bankai to add to the mystery.

Sure, shes wounded and useless, but she's got to still have more power than an unranked or a 6th seat...
He wasn't their friend to begin with. He hates shinigami, for what they did to his people. He only allied with Ichigo and his real friends do extract some revenge.
You don't really believe that do you? How many shinigami did he actually "exact" his revenge on while in the Soul Society (where he went to save...ahhh...a shinigami)? He didn't even kill the pond scum that kept going after Orihima, or the guy most responsible for killing his people...and more pointedly, his own grandfather.
He initially challenged Ichigo on that premise (110 or so episodes ago), but quickly learned that Ichigo was not an enemy...even though the vibrato never went away, he still established a strong relationship with them that should not have been so easily dismissed...especially considering who was demanding it!

And as stated by Orihime, the Barrier is the same as the one she was able to create, thats why she was able to slip pass
its kinda of like komakoma's force jedi wind gust thingy jutsu during the bounto arc. he was able to make naonao pass out with just a glare its not suprising he was able to knock out a mentally and physically weakened momo.

You beat me to it Lendial. I was just about to post that incident with Nanao Ise. But anyways a couple posts back with the whole Ishida being a sell out for dismissing his friends to regain his powers stuff. I don't blame him, cause when the shit does hit the fan what good are having friends if you can't help them. He would be totally useless, which he has been most times in the Bleach series. Now he has a chance to get his powers back, I would take it too, I wouldn't want to not be able to do anything, so the way I see it if he cares anything for Ichigo and the gang, one of the reasons is that he is getting his powers is so he can help them out when the time comes. I'm sure once he gets his powers he will act like he doesn't want anything to do with Ichigo and company, but eventually he will show his friendship again, but like I said, I see it as he has no choice but to do something to regain his powers, or remain a bystander.
1)You either gain your powers and vow not to help your friends or 2)remain powerless and become a burden to your friends. No other choice. Obviously choice 1 is the better choice.

Taken from my post some pages back.
Orihime's reason for entering was very clear:
because her powers also work with barriers.. she said "it kinda reminds me of my Shun Shun Rika shield" and old pinkyhair also said he felt she had skills with barriers simmilar to his own.
So if it's a same kind of power.. it's possible she can use her own barriermanipulationskills ( scrabble anyone?)to get past it..
I think that's also why she can feel Ichi's reiatsu through the barrier where others cannot. .. she just sees right through it.

Momo is a drug addict, and her drug is Aizen >.> .. When peoples was raised to not see the flip side of the coin, all hell break loose >.>
Lets have a dumbdown example... person A is raised in a way that he thinks that chicken is the thing to eat for human and vegetable is yucky, thus bad for health .... person B is a total opposite, chicken is poison because contain fat etc etc.
In your ideal world, A can invite B over and serve chicken, but in reality, because B is raised with the knowledge of chicken = poison, he might ends up thinking that A try to poison him.. so much for better place, huh?
Hinamori is way too overfantical. Theres alwaya a limit to stuff, overfanaticalism and loyalty's are totally different things altogether. This is practically worshipping aizen as god. Oh wait, not practically. She IS worshipping aizen as a god. This is the type of people you see go bankrupt and suicide eventually because they want to chase an idol and stuff like that. Man Hinamori is very unstable I mean i cant blame her after all thats happend to her. But shes also been down for a long time many things have changed. For her to ask to save Aizen shows she just cant accept his betryal. Ichigo really has a problem with strong woman kicking his ass and abusing him.
Orihime's powers seems to be growing and all the hints they are dropping about the source of her's and Chads powers at this moment im really interested in that. We know where Ichigo's power comes from basically we know where Ishida's powers come from hes a quincy an advanced form of human. But a proper explanation was never given about Chad or Orihime. I think that whatever secret there is behind these 2 also might involve Tatsuki given that her Reitsu is high enough to be sensed by Hallows and Shinigami alike.

I think since that Ichigo exudes so much riatsu that whoever hangs around him alot gets infused with powers to a degree. But then you say well why don't all the students have powers, well that's where it falls apart I guess. But I think it's the people who are closest/hang around Ichigo and the gang the most. Since Chad and Orihime hang around him the most it stands to reason they have more powers then say Tatsuki. But Tatsuki is Inoue's best friend, and Tats also hangs with Ichi at times, so she is getting Riatsu showered on her from Ichi and probably Orihime as well. Then there is Keigo Asano, and even though he's an oddball wimp type, he has something going on with him since the Arrancar pinpointed him as a target with some riatsu. Guess there will be different points of views for this, but only time will tell what it's all about, what the real secret is about Chad, Inoue and the rest, and why they have the powers they do.

It was explained before or at the time of the SS arc that the powers they have were awoken by the extraordinary spirit power Ichigo posessed wich oozed ( dude.. don't say like.. "ooze"..) out of him into them...

I think this is one of the most plausible theories. It may just be by chance they are all friends. But something has bought them together and something gave them their powers. I mean for Ureaha and Youichi to be intersted in them it has to be something. But wanting to protect those you care about manifesting its self into a power could be a good guess. Im still stuck on Tatsuki though about if she will develop powers. Chad, Orihime, and Tatsuki all have common start. They were already sensitive to spirits and such or at least atttracted them. Each one of them besides tatsuki at this point had their awareness or their powers start to emerge after a dramatic event involving a hollow. I dont know if this is revlent but it just kind of dawned on me.

That could be true to I mean this town always has something going on and the villians always seem to turn up there. But whats the trigger? If the town is constantly bombarded by spirit particles that means everyone has the potential to develop powers but what is the catalyst to make such powers manifest. I havent read very far in the manga either but i think your right. I wonder if Ichigo's absurb amount of power is another Key Aizen needs to get to the where the King of SS resides. There is something Aizen wants from Ichigo either to bring him to his side or use him for another purprose

Yepp, they were out to kill him because he could pose a potential threat. I think that "This guy is trash, we don't care about him" was just an act for Ulquiorra to seem tough and get out of there, while the main reason was because he saw he was overpowered :p

Urmmm....
My theory on what Urahara's Bankai is that it grows stronger on blood or something. You know, 'cause when we first see his blood mist shield, it had blood on it, which probably came from him. But maybe his bankai grows stronger on his enemy's blood?
That would explain why he can't train Sado...
And Ichigo had the potential to become even stronger than Ulquiorra, he said so himself while calling him trash.

Maybe Aizen told him to check Ichigo out in order to test whether Urahara and Yoruichi would get involved.
"Officially" Ulquiorra is supposed to tell the rest he is checking Ichigo out. Obviously Aizen have been around long enough and smart enough to know who is more worthy of fighting.
Why Aizen doesnt want to kill Ichigo like an ant he was at this moment though is probably a plot device. Main Characters are not suppose to die.

It obvious that Urahara and Yoruichi both know more than what they are disclosing. Granted Chad went to Urahara to ask for training, but in the last episode Yoruichi found Orihime and asked her to come with her. My opinion is that Aizen is sizing Ichigo up. 1 possiblity could be see if hes worth using later he makes an offer join me or if he doesnt he will try to have him killed. Makes sense if you can convert the strongest warrior or a warrior with great potential to your side why kill him if he refuses or gets to dangerous you can always kill him later. Many a ruler have adopted this in the past and it works more time than one might think. But after all this is Shonen and certain critiria must be met

Right after he says that you see the hollow mask of Ichigo.. it could point to a holow influence in Chad's powers.

I'm not dismissing anything, apart from the fact that Urahara was not talking about Orihimi-chan's powers when he was looking at a running Chad ( well there's a first.. a running Chad..) and saying that..
His words during a scene where only Chad was in the picture were:
"Sado-san, your power still has plenty of room to grow, And by using it against a Bankai, it wil surely move to the next level. The one thing I'm concerned about is how your power is completely unlike a Shinigami's, or even a Quincy's..
Yes.. your power is just like.. *switch to hollow ichigo mask*
So I really don't see how Orihime's powers are adressed there too, like I've seen a couple of people say..
I bet Ura knows Ori has been with Ichi and the Vizards.
I think Ori is going to be asked to watch and help ( well.. heal.. helping is out of her league right now I think) Ichi while he's training with the vaizards or something, or is going to ask Ori to ask help from the Vizard since they're up against some pretty powerfull enemies this time.

Which is why I said that .. not what Orihime's power is ..
The more I think about it, the more I'm scared of Urahara .. He is one scary dude >.<
Ah, well, I interpreted that wronlgy then I think.. :)
As for Urahara.. The guy knows so much, but he reveals nothing.. and you can't force him to neither, cause he'll kick your ass.. front, back, sideways, overeasy.. :D
I hope we get to a point where's his past is somehow revealed, or partially anyway.. a reason why he was banned from SS, or just something to clarify the dark ominous mystery that surrounds him..
He was banned from entering SS.. thats why he cant get tru the gate in the 1st SS arc.

Didn't you pay attention to the series? All this points are already revealed. And he wasn't banned, he fled by himself and we already know the reasons.
What more do you want to know?
I think there are only minor things which we don't know and more important than his past is his current self. What does he know and what are his goals and his masterplan?
I payed attention.. I remember that the only thing known is that he was exiled by Soul Society( yes exiled.. so he didn't run away himself.. he was banned) from SS by SS) for making an untraceable Gigai and the Hougiyoku wich he wanted to destroy but couldn't, as said by Aizen in episode 61.. and yes I would like to know more about it. Is that so weird?
I find it a bit hard to believe that with the cruel Kurotsuchi now at the wheel of the experiments and him doing all kinds of stuff daylight can't bare, the reason for his exile is only making a faux body and an Orb he wanted to destroy after making it.. I have a feeling no-one but Aizen found out he had put the orb into Rukia somewhere along the line.. or old geezer stinkyhands must've known.
I also have no clue if he has anything like a masterplan, wich to me sounds like he meant for all this to happen, but to protect everyone and maybe his goal or hope is to be let back into SS. I haven't read the specualtionthread about it though.. so I might be repeating someone else here

His real mysteries lie in the present.
Like what Benihime can do... Sounds like Renji wants to know too ;)
Personally, I am more curious about Yoruichi's zanpakuto and Isshin...
The biggest twist ever, even more than Hinamori being the mastermind, would be Urahara as the mastermind/main villain :D

^Considering until this point we can assumed that Urahara dont know jack about the Vaizards... I think its plausible theory.
But you cant dismissed the fact that he send black catchan to fetch Orihime too :D .. There must be a reason as of why ^^
He knows something about them. In the episode where Ichogo's father fights a hollow, he and Urahara talk about the vaizards being worried about the Arrancar.

Obviously you didn't really pay as much attention, as necessary.
He wasn't "banned" for the Hougyoku; nobody had anything against it, and he even got rid of it himself. His only crime was the invention of the untracable Gigai.
And he wasn't exiled! Maybe you don't remember it, but Soi Fong was pretty pissed about Yoruichi leaving her behind, when she helped Urahara "escape". This means, that he fled from SS on his own account to avoid a punishment he would have gotten otherwise.
funny you should say I should've payed more attention.
I don't know about you, but I clearly see two counts of the word exiled translated into the subs from the words spoken by Aizen. :)
http://xs215.xs.to/xs215/07221/aizen.jpg
Wikipedia, eventhough it's ofcourse all userprovided information, says the same.. Exiled.
At some point (about 100 years before the main Bleach storyline), Urahara was sentenced to exile by Soul Society for creating an untraceable gigai which caused the spiritual power of the shinigami inside it to deteriorate, as well as the Orb of Distortion.[2] Yoruichi Shihouin helped him escape and, for reasons yet unknown, ran away with him as well
So either I'm misreading things here, or you have another better source wich says he isn't exiled wich I'd like to see then so it might influence my standpoint :)
Yes, he "escaped" to the physical realm with the help of Yoruichi, and yes it's highly likely he did that to get away from an official punishment like binding his powers as they did with the exiled Ran Tao in the Bounto arc, but Ran Tao could remain in SS realm afterwards .
I think it's more plausible that when they couldn't effect his official punishment in SS on top of the exilement from SS they punished him through means of preventing him to ever return to the SS realm using the gate by some sort of barrier.. wich would immediately account for the rejection from the gate. Eventhough it is his gate, it still connects to the SS realm and that's where he's banned from.
If he were really exiled, then Yoruichi wouldn't have to help him, don't you think.
He would still need help getting out of the SS realm to get to the physical realm, since his direct and easy acces to gates to that realm was cut off by his exilement
And obviously his Gigai was a great crime. As Aizen explained, the soul in the body would become a normal living beeing in the long run, which means, that this Gigai is a method to disturb the balance of souls between the two worlds. You remember what they did with the Quincys, who were also disturbing the balance, don't you?
Ofcourse I remember the good ol' Quincys and their demise at the hand of SS, but I disagree on the further line of "wich means .... " reasoning :)
If it was that big of a simmillar deal, don't you think they'd have followed him to the end of the earth to get him back like they did with Rukia or pursue and kill him like the Quincys? Instead they left him in the physical realm with all his knowledge and powers.. Everyone knows he's there.. and all other shinigamis that come to this realm go to Urahara for gigai's and supplies.
Given, the gigai was a crime with a high price to pay for him (and granted, there isn't anything specific on the orb having to do anything with his exilement), but I don't think it goes to that kind of lengths as you portray there :)

Really? Missed that >_<
From episode 112
Urahara: ...speaking of your son have you noticed.
Isshin: Yeah, it seems they contacted him just like you said. The mask soldiers, vaizard.
An outlawed group of former Shinigami, they attempted to obtain hollow powers using forbidden techniques. Their location and ideas are unknown. If there is one thing we do know, it is that the vaizards and arrancar are not working together.
Urahara: Nor do they seem to be our allies. Vaizards despise Shinigami as well.
Isshin: Yeah
Urahara: But the fact that they have contacted your son means...
Isshin: Yeah. They are also preparing for some kind of battle. The same as us. They must have felt it too. There has been a sudden change in the arranca...

So you say, that they are able to somehow prevent souls to enter SS, and this mechanism applies to every location and every method of getting there?
At the beginning of the soul Society arc, when Urahara sent Ichigo through the gate, Urahara tries to touch the portal. There is something that looks like a static discharge around his hand. I thought that meant that somehow he was unable to enter a portal to go to the soul Society.
I miss the part about, Yoruichi, helping Urahara escape. Where was that information given?

I finally was able to see this episode few days ago.
I was wondering what was Ishida dad talking about?
About the Quintuple Binding Frames and Sacred Bite.
That happened when IShida dad finally hit him.
