Crazy Anime

I was wondering if there were animes that, if this is the right wording, screw with your mind or leave yourself mind-f**ked/raped (the latter part I highly doubt). I heard Paranoia Agent, the Boogie Pop (or something) series, and Inukami! were choices that did such. I saw Inukami! (which actually messed me in some parts:heh:) and I'm planning to see Paranoia Agent. Any other suggestions?

Besides the classic Evangelion, there's Leviathan (http://www.omanga.net/?type=proj&cid=leviathan) and MPD Psycho (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=3080) for grade A mind f*cking.

Actually, most of the manga at Omanga seem to fall under that category.

Anime film Mind Game surely falls into that category.

Also, FLCL. It doesn't hit you with its weirdness, but it will surely leave you "wtf?" after viewing it. And it makes a lot of sense, if you take the time to figure out all the metaphors.

i'm shocked a few classics haven't been listed: Lain (http://anime-planet.com/anirec/44.html) and Perfect Blue (http://anime-planet.com/anirec/208.html) are two.

Dead Leaves (http://anime-planet.com/anirec/786.html) is in the same vein as FLCL as far as being completely random and odd, though i didn't like it much.

there's always the new satoshi kon film Paprika (http://anime-planet.com/anirec/1081.html), though i am of the opinion that it was as vacuous and empty as GITS2 (though admittedly pretty to look at... my review (http://www.anime-planet.com/reviews/a306.html))

then there's pretty much any studio 4c title such as End of the World (http://www.anime-planet.com/anirec/680.html) and Eternal Family (http://www.anime-planet.com/anirec/787.html)

You should also read the books if you haven't already done so, there are 4 question arcs and 4 answer arcs whitout counting the side stories. Really weird stuff:heh:

You heard right. Boogiepop Phantom *points to icon* is a wonderfully crazy anime. I highly recommend it.

i think its crazy becoz the anime doesnt hav a point O.O
every episodes of this anime hav different topic and 1 episodes contain many different topic
i guess u can say tat the anime is just many random and senseless topics showed in a sorta monotone like way yet this anime is quite funny
when i finished watching the first episode i was like "wtf...O.O...=.="...*jaw dropped*...silence..."
well to me this kind of random senseless animes r crazy xD
oh and the characters r also very cutely drawn ^^

Lucky Star isn't crazy at all. No more so than Azumanga Daioh (actually, Azumanga is a bit weirder/crazier) or Ichigo Mashimaro. It's just cute schoolgirls doing cute and funny things.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I'll take a look when I have time. I do want to say that there are some anime that numbs the mind like BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo or Lucky Star and I guess you can post a few of those.

I'll recommend the more tame Elfen Lied and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu for screwing up my mind, because it did.
