How about... the random guy in dark clothes from the inn, really early in the series (episode 2-3?) who cautions Raki about Claymores. I was really hoping that that figure would appear again. However, he looked somewhat like the hooded organization member. (Or was it Irene under her cloak!? Naw... that's absurd.)

It's Galatea's hair, nothing more. :)

Might be her cold, cool attitude. She was mysterious when we were first introduced to her, seemed sort of like the organizations evil spy. However, both in the Witch's Maw arc and just recently, she's let our protagonists off the hook, at great risk to her own safety. A very serious and likable character.

That's what I find appealing about her anyway.

They are sort of similar in behavior and speech, though their faces are pretty much polar opposites. I have to say that Irene's hair, though fine and well kept, can't compare to Galatea's, though. ^^

C'mon, Galatea's vote count is pretty impressive, considering we saw her - what? - all of two times in the anime? All we have to judge her by (anime only, not considering the manga) is her observation of the Fab Four's first team battle, and her little scuffle with Dauf. I'm not even sure if their meeting last episode is anything to go by - all she does is make them draw their swords, then give them directions to the objective. Galatea gets too little screen time >.<

Miria, on the other hand, has been pretty much dominating the screen the past few episodes, surpassed probably only by Clare and Raki. And she gets a few sympathy votes from getting skewered by Rigaldo and Priscilla =P

Don't get me wrong, I love Miria as well, I just don't think the anime does enough justice to Miss Claymore to make the poll balanced... but how many polls are balanced anyway, huh.

Clare -> cool i liked her, she sort of remind me of saber from fate especially the part she tie up her hair, look freaking sexy!
Raki -> one of the most annoying guy i ever seen in animes, but i think thats the intention of the writter i guess, and dam he kiss my clare omfg . .
Teresa -> not excalty a fan of her, she could have alittle more humble but wasnt expecting her to get owned by prescila in like a split second

Besides, how do you differentiate "major/main" and "supporting " characters? Someone will argue that Helen is a supporting character but a number of posters will see her as a main character, as an example of course.

Just started watching Claymore and embarrasingly, I've become "infatuated" with an anime character again... :o

The other is Urd from Oh My Goddess, but now Clare shares that place.... Why I like her? Well, I like to root for the underdogs. :P Although she seems to hide more potential than shows. (I'm currently on episode 16). And the fact that she, like Teresa, bonds with humans.

well, it depends how you chose them or rather how much of an effect they have on you. For example if they make you curious and you want to know more about them (happened to me with Raphaela f.ex.), can somehow make them a favorite character because they occupy your attention.

Even Teresa, she appeared in what ... 3 episodes and is the favorite character of half of all viewers. She simply left a big impression on many. Eventhough we don't know all that much about her and she doesn't really actively influence the story later on.

But if you were refering to the characters that we asked for earlier, it is of course because those have a bit more screetime in the manga. As long as you have 2 to 3 lines in the SERIES and you're either a Claymore, AB or Abyssal, you should be good to go. Cynthia in, Tabitha no. Veronica 50/50.

Let's put it this way, Claymores have a brutal way of dying. Veronica never saw it coming BUT Undine got the worst of it. She saw her hands get chopped off PLUS she was still alive when she got slashed across the belly.
One thing about Rigardo, its like he was wishing he could die with some excitement.

Hence his brief congratulation to Claire for bested him in combat just like any professional warrior does in war. Good example of this in real life will be World War 1 fighter pilots chivalrous nod to each other in dogfights.

And the way he off the 4 top Claymore operators is showing his professionalism, he did it quick and without any showmanship indicating that he did not take pleasure in the deed, it is just a job for him.

Only when he fought Awakened Claire that he realises that his life is in the throw of dice, excitement of unpredictability came back and he forgot to be professional which is one source of his undoing. He ceases to be objective and becomes passionate to kill Awakened Claire.

Can you set up the polls so each person can have two votes for different characters? The reason for this being that many of the characters in the anime dont get enough screen time to be a #1 favorite, but are always a popular second choice *cough*Galatea/Irene*cough*. Otherwise this will probably end in another landslide victory for Teresa.

Well, I've decided that Rafaela is going to be in the poll which brings the total up to the maximum of 20.

I'm now considering leaving out both Cynthia and Veronica. I was mostly including Veronica as a single digit, though people are right that she is quite minor in the anime version. Cynthia is mostly a manga character as well, so if I'm leaving out Veronica it would seem weird to put in someone who really has barely more time than she does. Perhaps in the manga poll Cynthia will get her chance to shine.
