The StrikerS 4koma got the positioning wrong then :)
Nanoha's on the FAR left.
Damn, I'm not even past the 7 minute mark and Vivio is proving to be the biggest moe-bomb this series has, rivaled only by Rein. :heh:

(Yes, restorting to small talks...)
"Landmine" or "Timer" ? :p
Probably more close to "Nuclear."

okey finally...
personally i found this ep to be rather weak...too much talk and not enough action (and due to that im not gonna write what happens cause i can hardly understand the more complex stuff meself :heh:)
*cough* well basically the problem was the whole ep moved at a snails pace...literally ~ but we do get some important development...
vivio has now accepted nanoha and fate chan as her temporary "mamas" (i use that word cause the way she says it is very cute ^.^) ~ and speaking of vivio there are tonnes of moe moments for her which is the only saving grace for me imo...
over lunch between subaru caro and erio we had an interesting convo on how caro and erio feels about fate chan...while vivio is like fate chan's child to caro she is more of a older sister figure (unexpected)...as for erio he hesitates between fate chan being his mother or sister...and when caro suggest that they should ask fate chan if she feels that erio is like a little brother of her son we only see erio getting more nervous (i know what he is thinking...but i dont like it T.T)
but the most important point made in this ep is the yaoi vibes i feel from chrono and acous...god if you have any sense of decency plz make that dream come true :D acous seems to know magic as he fricking haxx made a cake from thin air...or should i say he stole the cate from somewhere using teleportation?

nooo tea dont eat the tainted cake!!! T.T (now what is stopping acous in stealing hayate's panties?)
also notice how buffed up chrono and acous is...perfect couple :3
but seriously the most important plot advancement is this...

Ginga looks a lot like her mother but her face is a bit shaper. Subaru however has her mother's eyes.

I think Zafira has finally reached rock-bottom. The Azure Wolf of the Wolkenritter, a baby-sitter? Oh, how the mighty(?) has fallen.
Regarding the preview, I think we'll still have some (training) action to keep us from snoring. Gin-nee sparring with Subaru should be good stuff.
Though that part where Fate and Signum coming out with Bardiche and Laevatein is kinda ominous.... Are the Battle Freaks taking on the Nakajima Sisters? :heh:

As cool as that would be, I am hoping more for a "Okay, we've seen what you can do, here's what we can do!" Fate/Signum duel.

Shit, what's with Nanoha's "fighting/as a mage/the only thing I can do" narration? I know narrations are merely dramatics, but I've getting severe Kira/Athrun vibes from her...which means she'll probably screw up somewhere in the near future.
Well, for all it's worth, Nanoha and Fate are sleeping at each far end of the bed...however looks like Fate naturally respond well to hugs while asleep, so maybe that's fodder for you guys and girls right there.
What was Strada's 2nd mode again? Something special I heard? Apparently it's quite cool...
Wow... so the Teana/Chrono talks actually had some minor substance to it. Teana responds extremely stiffly to the situation though... she looked totally out of place with the friendly atmosphere of RHC. Though she later softened up to Acous... though I can't help but feel suspicious about it.
Claudia looks pretty cool from the get go...
As expected, the ban on conventional weapons got some explanations... Conventional my foot.
If TSAB reinforced the ban... and the 3 Admirals were around since TSAB's beginning...does that mean the 3 Admiral are OVER 150 YEARS OLD!?!?!?!? @_@
So the Numbers are something like....War...Beings, Weapons...something. Apparently Subaru's mom died under such creations.
The Double Mama thing was okay... Felt a little cheesy to me, but whatever swings the rabid minds.
Yawn.... as usual, LAZ does nothing but stand tall and look cool.
Next week, Sisters and Daughters...if Sisters refer to SubaGinga, then the Numbers are Jail's daughters!? Or it is Vivio...but it's plural... More Jail next week too..
Too much history-jargon stuff though. I missed at least 50% in translation. Acous gives me bad vibes... so does Carim to a lesser extent.

I think we're missing something important from this episode, other than how the Mrs Nakajima is almost an exact copy of Ginga like I've predicted... What were the conclusion about the Numbers? What are they really?

id say she "is" the biggest moe bomb to rival even the great loli fate chan...has got to be that voice ~ kudos to the seiyuu! ^.^
The voice, and the fact tat she stares at pretty much everything with innocent wide eyed wonder. That's pure moeness right there.

Hmm, I'm not sure about the Kira/Athrun vibe. I mean, there are multiple anime heroes that said the same, or lines that are virtually the same, and still kicked ass.

Teana has always been the more disciplinairy of the squad, barring her little emo-trip. I would have been surprised if she didn't act all stiff and nervous.
As expected, the ban on conventional weapons got some explanations... Conventional my foot.
I didn't understand much of it, but when I saw the big bomb dropping I was going "That's conventional? What the hell do they concider inconventional!?"
Next week, Sisters and Daughters...if Sisters refer to SubaGinga, then the Numbers are Jail's daughters!? Or it is Vivio...but it's plural... More Jail next week too..
I'm thinking it both refers to the Nakajima sisters. Maybe we get a bit more information on the entire familly.

To be more precise, they're called Sentoukijin... which can be translated as War Demon or something based on what the kanji used refer to. Though below really, it's really closer to just "War Humanoid Beings/Human Weapons" or something.
Hmm, I'm not sure about the Kira/Athrun vibe. I mean, there are multiple anime heroes that said the same, or lines that are virtually the same, and still kicked ass.
True that, but I used Kira/Athrun as a analogy because I can't shake off the feeling that for whatever Nanoha is doing right now being on the right path and so...I can't throw away the gut feeling that it'll backfire one way or another... be it through internal back-stabbing or something. It's a rough life I guess. When you can blast things to oblivion something bad has to come with it. Aka a really bad work schedule.
Well Chrono decided to leave Carim's place and hang out on his ship. Though for consolation he spends some time alone with Hayate while Acous goes to chat with Teana.
More talking (man do I wish I understood half a word of all this). Vivio apparently scoring a couple of moms this time around. Though I can't blame the girl for being fairly confused for the first few moments.
Maybe they can help us out next week. Full out 'sparring' match with Fate and Signum. I want explosions, I want destruction for once! Never hurts now and then after all for a little damage to get done in the series.
By the way, anyone else besides me noticed that Vivio had Arisa's former hairstyle in the preview?
Which brings me to another theory:
Vivio looks a lot like a younger Arisa in terms of hair, and she also has one green eye. Arisa had green eyes as well. And now that they have her use Arisa's former hairstyle next episode, I hereby draw this premature theory out of the box: Vivio is just like Fate.
Huh? What? Stop, hear me out. Fate is a clone of Alicia, and the two resemble eachother greatly. Vivio looks just like Arisa... granted, this could be coincidence, but when has Nanoha ever adhered to coincidence?
Food for thought. :D

In terms of character design, there has been tons of coincidences, and you didn't explain the one red eye. But that statement "Vivio is like Fate" is quite a trap :p
Vivio is like Fate because... They're from the same project :D

Not a very good point, but nonetheless...

As of a few seconds ago, it's monday over here too.
I do agree that this was a dull episode. The main problem is that there is lots of talking in this episode. So much, in fact, that even I skipped parts, simply because I feel no need to watch people sitting around a table bla-bla-ing about things where I can catch only two or three words per sentence. Not everyone speaks Japanese, so most are being left out in understanding the episode, and therefore don't have that much to discuss.

Fate = Rau and Vivio = Rey
I felt that their relationship is more like that. But poor Elio, confused about his relationship with Fate.

On another note, Fate has red eyes, Arisa has green eyes, Vivio has one red and one green eye.

according to this episode the switch to a technomagic based military is because

Evangelion bored me after the second DVD, so I have no clue who this "Rau" is. :heh:
No no~ That was in reference to Gundam SEED :heh:
They had cloning there too :)
On another note, Fate has red eyes, Arisa has green eyes, Vivio has one red and one green eye.
Coincidence?
So she's 90% Alisa, 10% Fate?
Still not quite sure what you're getting at :heh:

as much as i would like to believe that it isnt i will have to be realistic and say that it is...i wont mind if only arisa was cloned but why mix in some fate chan genes? and for starters where do you get them? O.O it would be more logical to say that she was cloned from boku...and i back that theory that a time rip in spaced made by the Arc-en-ciel did indeed cross some characters from another dimension :3

Well...in SS01 they did go Earth to take care of some Relic troubles (and take a short vacation :D)...but then again, Jail's drones didn't make an appearance there...so much for this theory :heh:
Anyway, Nanoha and Vivio bonding...approved and looking forward to seeing it :D

Just a wacky thought that she's an experiment mixing Fate's and Arisa's genes. I'm simply grabbing every single shred of evidence I can find to back up my wacky claims. :heh:

Fate's genes are already in the databank (asuming that the ones who created Vivio are the same that created Fate) for Arisa, earth is not exactly a top-class secured planet. As for the why, need I remind you how powerfull Fate it?

Hooray for motherhood!
The only things that really came out of this episode is that we learned how to spell "Regius Gaiz" and the appearance of the Claudia. And man, the Claudia looks nothing like the Arthra/Asura from the outside. The bridge even has a seat for Rossa next to Chrono.

I like action as much as anybody else, but I also like exposition. I'd like it even more if I were fluent in japanese. ^_^
Here's a crazy idea- Vivio is so cute and cuddly, I wouldn't be surprised if she ends
up becoming/being transformed into a weapon of doom. Sort of like the little girl in Scrapped Princess, that ended up being one of the "agents of god", the ones that would reset the world whenever the humans got upitity. Which would cause all sorts of heartbreak for our heroines, as they try to rein her in order to save her. ^_^

Adter reading the summary and most of the post, I felt that this episode is boring because it is a setup episode for Sound Stage 2 Episode 14.5. They are trying to build the atmosphere here and the interaction between Vivio and all the characters in Riot Force 6.

The one episode thisguy decides to take a breather...ironically turns out to be the episode with the most jargon history-military-techno-babble of them all. Even last episode's only note-worthy talk was the "prophecy". Here we have structural exposition, TSAB history, the weapons ban explanation, etc...
Regius is SO obviously not going to be bad guy here, it's not even funny. :3

Finished the 2nd half of the Ep, now I need to sum up my throghts about it....
Moe, MOE Vivio Nanoha and Fate are almost offically married now :heh:. Now jumps to Claudia, lookings like no one is trusting Ground Force atm seeing Chrono is running investigations on Regius. we forward to the scene with lighting 3, where Fate is given Erio and Caro a lesson on the history of the world and how new Mid calandar have started. Flashback to more dialugue on how untrustworthly of ground force headquarters. Then moe, more Vivio moeness.... Then the producers are hinting on Acous's evil intensions I can just feel it :heh:.... Moving to the end of the Ep, even Caro have said it Vivio have an invincible cute barrier, I also wonder if Fate is better as a mother or Onee chan :heh:
To ep 15 now I wonder who will be Signum's sparing partner, if its not Fate or Nanoha.... I given them my pity....
This ends my wool gathering :heh:....
Hmmm... It seems Ginga wants to find her mother's murderer.

You have the Vivio event with her picking up a couple moms. The tale of Zafira's babysitting and teaching her how to fold laundry....yeah it's that sad. Chrono in his ship, cake appearing from nowhere, Chrono and Hayate drinking tea. Caro discussing the family dynamics with Fate and apparently something that embarrassed Erio. Can't say what though.

Caro tells Subaru that she considers Fate like a gentle and kind elder sister figure.
Elio isn't sure on which, whether Fate's a mother figure or an elder sister figure to him... When Caro suggest she/they ask Fate personally later, Elio gets embarrassed and ask not to.

Well anyway, next week, judging from the minimal amount of spoilers that we got, the "next incident" is about to begin. But there's a high chance that a large majority of the first part would be on Ginga's welcome 'party' :p

So, one of those "explaination" episodes.
This kind of episode usually helps people speculate further by adding more factors to speculate, or reveal some of background.
Downside is that it's usually lacking action-packed scenes... so some people like it, some not.
Anyway, as Nightingale has already said, it's one of most jargon-filled episode so far, so I'll only pick up some important points... otherwise it'll gonna be endless :heh:- It starts off with Nanoha's monologue that vaguely says
"Everyone knows how it's sad to be alone, and to be different from everyone else."
"My being what I am now is owing to people around me, but what I can do other than magic, other than fighting, to this little girl in front of me..."
- Alright, Nanoha wakes up on same bed with Fate and Vivio, as you all know by now :heh:
- Early morning training's done, without any apparent problems... and they aren't fed yet today.
Surely RF6's training is hard...
- Everyone's getting a hang on their device's 2nd Mode.
MC and Kerykeion seems not too different from their original form, so apparently it was easier than other two.
According to Tia, CM's dagger mode is basically merely a supplement, so no problem.
Then they move onto Strada; Tia says it's complecated, Caro thinks it's cool, and Subaru says it's 過激 (= drastic/radical, I suppose)...
I wonder wth it does... for Subaru saying it drastic, it must be seriously drastic :uhoh:
- Hayate invites Teana along for her visiting Chrono in TSAB Central, because she thought it's good for Teana to get used to meet people of higher ranks, which she'll do in regular basis once she went up on her career.
- Back to RF6, Nanoha chats with Subaru about whereabouts of Forwards.
Vice-leaders are off-duty, Lightnings are sent to on-site investigation... that makes there're only two of them in RF6 today.
- On sky, Caro asks Fate what Vivio's doing in daytime, which Fate answers that Zafira and アイナ (Ina? Einer?), a housemother, is looking after her.
On screen shows Vivio asking Zafira if she did her job okay, then reports to Ina that she's done her share... cute :)
- Scene moves to Cloudia, Rossa visits Chrono and both walks down a corridor, apparently there's still some more time before Hayate arrives.
Rossa offers him a cake, which Chrono responds with reluctace, insisting that he doesn't like sweet foods.
It's impressive that Chrono grew up to dislike sweet foods... I mean, look at his mom.
Then Rossa insists that it's his hand-made, relatively well-done and with toned-down sweetness to fit Chrono's preference... then Chrono had no choice but to accept it.
One word: NO WE DON'T NEED YAOI!!!! :uhoh:
- Then Yaois move on to their main topic; report of Rossa's secret investigation around Regius.
Rossa regards him as a politician of agressiveness, which Chrono takes over that he surely has charisma, and is really an able person.
It's revealed that he's got quite a support from both political community and corporations, and even the head of TSAB Center is a junior fellow of Regius...
Although bad rumors often follow him, it's also true that he is the "guardian of justice" when it comes to the area of Ground Army...
So, even at the position of Chrono or Lindy, it's very difficult to make an interference from Navy's side.
- Hayate and Tia joins them; It's revealed that the inspection we've anticipated since EP13 is... already over :heh:
Apparently all members of Forwards have been informed about true intention of RF6, although prophecy thing has been kept secret from them.
Tia's determined to refuse both offer for seat and Rossa's cake... poor 2nd Pvt in middle of Admiral, Investigator and Lt. Col. :heh:
- Back to Storm Rider, Fate explains about possible threat of terrorism against Ground Central.
Erio shows some understandings, that even though GC is adamantly fortified with magic, Drone's AMF would cut through it... and law prohibit Army to possess conventional weapons, which makes it even harder.
(Note: they call it 質量兵器, so "Mass Weapon" or "Physical Weapon" would be more accurate... but I think conventional weapon would be more familiar term)
- Caro asks Fate about what-so-called "conventional weapons", then Fate's history lesson kicks in...
First she explains about "conventional weapons", which in fact, are what we know as weapons... projectiles, explosives, etc without magic.
She explains that both Midchilda and Ancient Velka almost exclusively used these weapons before the begining of current era.
Erio expresses what he knows about them; Once made and ready, those can even be utilised by child and only a finger can destroy an entire country... or world...
After the establishment of TSAB, which was around 150 years ago, they went all out to eradicate these kinds of weapons, and also prohibited usage of Lost Logias for safety and peace.
However, it's also true that peace can't be secured without military force... so magic was chosen, as a relatively clean and safe replacement.
Under the discipline of magic, TSAB grew into what TSAB is today; Central sits in middle of dimentional sea where worlds come across, and Ground Center in Midchilda where everything began... that was around 75 years ago, when current era started.
At the begining of era, everything was still in chaos... that was when Three Legendary Admirals came into play, managed TSAB going through all troubles.
So, Three Admirals would be somewhere around 85-100 years old, I guess...
- Fate finishes explaination with reminder that from now on, RF6 will be perticipating in any mission relates to Drones, whether there're Relic or not.
Kids seems to be confident about their ability that they've fought Drones many times, they can do fine.
Fate, however, recalls about event at Carim's room...
- Back to the discussion at the Church, Carim states that even she herself thinks that the destruction of whole TSAB is an impossible event.
Hayate compliments her that even if the Ground Center has been attacked, it's hard to imagine that leads to damaging TSAB Central, which is in dimentional sea.
Even then, the Central listened to prophecy and is alarmed for upcoming events...
However, Ground Center, more particulary Regius, completely ignored the prophecy and not taking any preparation.
As such, if Navy asked for Army's assistance, that will be taken as an intervention in domestic affairs and would cause more trouble... so Navy can neither put their main force into Midchilda, nor ask for Army's help.
That's why RF6 was formed, acting as a branch of Church and Navy in Midchilda to take care of Relic incident.
If the events ends without any big trouble, that's fine, but if things gets more serious and bigger... RF6 are expected to fight a lone, hopeless battle at frontest line until the Army finally gets some sense, or Navy and Church manages to win in politics and put their main force into Midchilda.
- Comes back to present time, Fate expresses her determination in her heart, that she'll have to protect not only Midchilda, but also everyone in RF6, Hayate's status and the sky Nanoha fly...
She then asks Bardiche once again to help her, which Bardiche responds with proudly shine.B part
- Subaru finishes her desk job and reports to Nanoha, but she was too busy staring at Vivio's photo...
Nanoha, absent-minded. Hey, it's rare sight, isn't it? :D
- On their way back to RF6's billet for lunch, Subaru asks Nanoha what they'll do to Vivio.
Nanoha responds that if, IF there's family interested in accepting an orphan, that's a best path.
However, both knew that it's not likely to happen, because Vivio is "different"...
For the time being, Nanoha intends to be her guardian, just like Fate did to Erio and Caro.
- These explaination proved to be too difficult for Vivio to understand :heh:, so Subaru chose to use more easier term; "For now, Nanoha-san is your mama!"
After Vivio calls Nanoha "mama" for several times, which she seemingly confirming it, Vivio starts crying on Nanoha's embracement...
- Back at Chrono's office, Hayate is still eating Rossa's cake... :heh:
She then asks Chrono that what's happened to Athra as he's on Cloudia now, which he replies that it will be retiring in next month, as it's deemed incapable of longer journey anymore.
Hayate expresses that she'll miss it, for it had many memories of their past... Chrono says that it worked enough, and it's good time for it to rest in peace.
- In the corridor, Rossa hands Tia an important data-chip, although I don't know what that is.
He asks her what's her impression of Hayate, which she answers with text-book answer to describe a good superior.
He then proceeds to introduction of relation between he, his sister-in-law, Chrono and Hayate, and he considers Hayate as little sister to them and that's why he cares her.
He thinks that having authority, responsibility and power beyond what ordinary people have also means being lonely, that although she is required and relied, that's not as a human but as a "function"... He then contradicts himself that it was an extreme statement, but Teana got what he meant anyway.
Finally, he asks Teana to interact to Hayate and other Aces not only as superior/subordinair, but also as human, or simply as ordinary girls, although it's difficult with rank.
Teana smiles, and swears that Forwards will do their best for that.
- Back to Cloudia's bridge, YAOIs see off two girls going back to Midchilda.
Chrono sees RF6's member list and says Hayate lucks out in having excellent relatives and subordinairs, but Rossa expresses his concern about Hayate's her own sense of guilt, and her indifference to her own life.
Chrono wishes if he could assist them directly, but Rossa reminds him of political issue... instead, Rossa assures Chrono that leave it to him, as the status of Inspector is good for secret activity.
- Back to Midchilda, Teana quickly complies what she promised to Rossa by inviting Hayate to restraunt Rossa told her.
I felt like Hayate's voice was trembling... but dunno if that was intentional.
- Scene moves to 108th Division's intel room, where they're going through their data and data given by RF6 about Numbers.
Marie makes appearance from A's, and now she's given the fullname of "Mariel Atenza".
From magic-circle-like templates and internal power activity, Marie concludes that Numbers are advanced "Sentou Kijin" incorpolates latest technologies.
They still need to re-confirm their datas with RF6, but that's too important to be done only via phone, so Genya decides to visit RF6 himself.
- As official synopsys is not up yet, we can only assume it's kanji... and meaning will vary depends on choice of kanji.
I think it's "戦闘機人", which loosely translate to "Combat Humanoid Machine" or "Combat Mechanized Human".
...If former was the case, that means Numbers are androids... while in latter case they'd be cyborg.
- As Hayate's not back to the base yet, Marie heads to rest room to kill some time and Ginga follows her.
Alone in his office, Genya stares at his wife's photo and says in his heart; "So, all in all, anything's not done yet..."
- Blief moment of Regius's office... guess what he's up to.
- In N&F's bedroom, Fate tells Vivio that now she's a bit of Vivio's mama too, as she placed herself as legal guardian, to keep eye on relation between Nanoha and Vivio.
Then follows the scene of Double Mama, nuff said.
- At RF6's cafeteria, Forwards minus Teana are eating... Mt. Spagetti, once again. :uhoh:
Caro jokingly says that as Vivio got both N&F as mama, she is literally invincible, which Subaru responds that kids got Fate too, so that's not so different.
Then Subaru asks kids weather Fate is mother or elder sister to them, which Caro replies that she is like a sweet elder sister to her, Erio on the other hand, having difficulty answering it.
Then Caro wonders which Fate would prefer, Erio being son or little brother to her and suggests asking her tommorow, which Erio embarassingly stops.
All through these, Subaru recalls about her mother...
- Scene moves to 108th's cars heading to RF6, and inside it Ginga recalls the incident of "Sentou Kijin" that killed her mother, and tells herself that it's not over yet.
- Finally, we see Lulu trio staring at TSAB Ground Center quietly... Guess who's going to "terrorise" Ground Center?
Before we get any clue about it, ED kicks in and episode ends.
Preview says events are heading to it's core, but each are allowed to spend their peaceful moment before that...
Titled "Daughters & Sisters", I suppose not only it covers Subaru and Ginga, but also Numbers... for they refer them as sisters.
Also, SS02 supposedly sits between EP14 and 15, and Quattro is confirmed to appear in SS02... now time for guesswork.

So far Erio has been exhibiting signs of knight-liness (image further enforced with a polite Strada). I wonder if Strada's 2nd mode has anything to do with knights as well.
Hmm, maybe transforming into a warhorse? :p

B part is coming... I'll finish it in this night, I will.Conventional weapons... Hmm... Hands up for those who think that there are "conventional weapons" in the deepest bowels of the Vault. :D
An attack on GC might be aimed at grabbing those "warheads", and judging by the technological advancement of the world, we're looking at at least a 4th generation nuclear warhead capable of a supernova in tetramegatons. I bet there's enough of those in there to blow Mid Childa and TSAB HQ to pieces.
Though I'd be blown if Scagletti ends up stealing Physalis from the GC to do the job. :uhoh:
"The lone force in the frontlines until those higher ups get some sense into their heads? What's this, AEUG VS Titans AND Neo Zeon until the EF get their act together now? SOMEBODY CALL ALBION!" ... at least that's what I thought. :heh:
But a hybrid force of Church and Navy... Now THAT certainly has implications for the OC Thread. :D
And I still don't believe how the more canon reveals stuff, the more my OC fits into it... :uhoh:

Used conventional weapons almost exclusively? The the "even a child can use it" description, seems that conventional weapon tech has gotten pretty advanced in Midchilda...
And :twitch: at RF6's purpose... basically, they're the first, last and ONLY line of defense against a large scale relic incident until the TSAB branches somehow break their bureaucratic red tape and help out... :uhoh:

Nevan is a weapon used by Dante in the third Devil may Cry game :D
It's basically an Electric Guitar that could control Lightning and sound waves, as well as summon electric bats :p
As cool as it sounds, this weapon is bloody difficult to use :heh:

She then asks Bardiche once again to help her, which Bardiche responds with proudful shine.Damn! I've wrote more than what an usual episode would be and it's only A Part!
B part is coming... I'll finish it in this night, I will.
Thanks for the summary :D
Things make a lot more sense now

Riot Force 6's mission now sounds alot cooler than just waiting for something big to go down...
Sure it's still pretty much the same thing, but the added "expected to fight a lone, hopeless battle at frontest line" Is just pure badass :D
And if all goes wrong, we'll have the scenario where Chrono prepares to nuke the city with Arc-en-ciel or whichever new superweapon he has at his disposal.
P.S - I'm counting on you Thisguy, to get Part B up asap so that I can sleep...
*Stare.....*
You know, when I first found out they were digging up Relics across various worlds, I was looking forward to a lot of dimension hopping in this series. But if their real role is to serve as the Navy's covering force on Mid-Childa, they're not likely to leave the planet before the crisis is resolved.
But there's something I don't get from the explaination. If the Navy can't place forces planetside, why not station a few ships in orbit? That's their juristriction isn't it? In fact, seeing that Mid-Childa is a capital planet of the TSAB, it should be covered by it's own fleet, or at least a squardron.
Another thing, the positions of the Army, Church and Navy have been covered, but what about the Airforce? Unlike a conventional Air Force, their troops can operate in the air and on the ground. So what's their take on the issue?
P.S - I'm counting on you Thisguy, to get Part B up asap so that I can sleep...
*Stare.....*Don't look at me like that, I've done it! :heh:
Well, B Part was not as long as expected... hmm, a new term alone does not make it lengthy I suppose.
Anyway, we've seen several "Artifical Life" technology in the series so far...
- Project F: Technology to create clone with copied memory of original.
It's debatable weather Project F itself incorpolates enhancing magic power... at least Precia did NOT intend to, though.
Subject/ Possible Subject: Fate, Erio, Vivio
- Artifical Mage: Technology to create a powerful mage via genetic engineering, mechanical implants, and drugs.
Not only it's ethical problem, it's also costly and risky... so only someone crazy enough would tap into.
Subject/ Possible Subject: Vivio
- Sentou Kijin: Unknown except it's subject are able to use different power source than magic.
More explaination in next EP? or I hope so.
Subject/ Possible Subject: All Numbers, or at very least No.3, 4, 6, 10.
- Relic Weapon: Not much is known about this one, we even don't know weather it's post-birth or pre-birth, or even if it's their device.
If it's post-birth modification, it's not "Artifical Life" technology...
Subject/ Possible Subject: Zest, LuteciaThese presence alone makes me think that this series gets more serious than previous series...
Well, maybe it's just me.

Yeah, I'm still wondering where Vivio fits in there.
I remember when in A's when they found out what the Wolkenritter were, and Fate thought they were the same but Lindy kicked in as said her assumption was wrong...that she is human, just was born in a different way.
But Vivio's case is different, isn't it?
But Vivio's case is different, isn't it?
If her enhancements were made post-birth, yes. That means she's just a modified natural human.
I suppose it is possible to make an artificial person via Project-F's technology then "upgrade" the subject via artifical mage technology. But the first approach seems less problematic to me.

Thanks for the summary I'd have to say. This kind've episode is a lot better once I can understand some of what's going on.
Too bad we didn't get to see Strada's Mode 2. But I guess they are saving it for a badass Erio moment in the upcoming crisis. Which is fine since it kind've guarantees some cool Erio moments. Hard to say what they'll do with a lance. Looking at Levantine going from sword, snake blade, to bow is some interesting stuff. Hope it's something cool since the other forwards clearly thought it was something. The knight thing is a good touch. Erio seems to be moving in that direction and apparently has a fine device for it too.
Something about a mass battle with RF6 being the last line of defence. Damn this series is almost guaranteeing some sweet action which I'm looking forward to without a doubt.
Must be a bit tough on Chrono having to stay back due to political issues. Of course Acous will be there to look out for them but you know Chrono cares about his friends. Though you can bet political constraints or not if they get into a tough situation he'll be there since that's just who he is.
Gotta love the figuring out family connections with Caro/Erio and Fate. Not sure how Erio sees Fate in that regard and it's probably tough to figure it out. Was wondering what was going on there but still funny stuff.
Oh Zafira...It's just sad that's all I can say.

Hey Arf is babysitting Amy and Chrono's kids so how is she any better then Zafira and babysittings not that bad is it?...Okay yea he's gone all soft on us now but Hayate is the one to blame all the damn cospaly brainwashed him. :heh:
Anyway this maybe him starting to settle down so he can start his own family with Arf if he hasn't already. Oh yea thats right he got sniped didn't he. :D

They can have a few ships on stand-by, but they still cannot Interfere with Ground forces as it's not their jobs to do so without permission.
And Air Force is a part of Ground, that least that's the impression I'm getting. Ground forces are in charge of all Homeland Defenses

I thought Airforce are attach tot he Navy and the ships they serve on. The Airforce mages are suppose to the Elite.

Possible, or they could be assigned to both sides as Elites.
After all, Ground defended Mid-Childa for a very long time, I don't think all of their people are cannon-fodder...

Though personally, despite what he said, if things really go sour too fast, I don't think he could just stand by... Or at least I hope.

Well, picture this: Riot Force 6 is a Ground Force unit.
Yeah, but that's decided by the Navy and Church, the general didn't really heard about them till then.
And RF6 was a recent thing, still doesn't show what kind of standard personels Ground uses. Cause if it's only a bunch of A ranked and below mages that can barely fly...
So, one of those "explaination" episodes.
This kind of episode usually helps people speculate further by adding more factors to speculate, or reveal some of background.

Kids seems to be confident about their ability that they've fought Drones many times, they can do fine.
Fate, however, recalls about event at Carim's room...

Interesting episode...on why RF6 was made, I get Ace Combat 5 vibes if they have to get in a final battle of sorts.:heh:
Yeah, but that's decided by the Navy and Church, the general didn't really heard about them till then.
And RF6 was a recent thing, still doesn't show what kind of standard personels Ground uses. Cause if it's only a bunch of A ranked and below mages that can barely fly...
Well, just because flying is an A ranked skill doesn't mean that every mage that can fly will automatically join the Air Force, does it? If I remember the manga correctly, the Wolkies part of a unit in the Ground Force for a while.

Wait, wasn't it mention that the unit was in fact with Air divison?
I remember somebody said it before when he/she were asked "how do we know that they were with the Air Force?"
Let me find it again...

If her enhancements were made post-birth, yes. That means she's just a modified natural human.
I suppose it is possible to make an artificial person via Project-F's technology then "upgrade" the subject via artifical mage technology. But the first approach seems less problematic to me.
problems have nothing to do with it if you are willing to make a weapon for destruction...just look at all the drones Dr S has thrown into the sea for the sake of fun and enjoyment ~ well in any case even if vivio was modified pre-birth it still makes her "human" (she still has genes from a human so i wonder who the original was ) ~ she says that she has lost her mother...i can see 2 possibilities here...
this mother can either be her genetic mother (the one who her genes are from and then clones) or kinda like the scientist who created her (and soo happens to be a female therefore being recognized as the mother)...

But if you look at the Character page on the website, on Signum and Vita, their top left hand corner you could see the 'badge' (?) of the department they were formerly working in.
Both of them were "A.A.S".

From what I gathered from flsnow's #13 subs (and I think our friends here should already have mentioned it here before as well), RF6 appears to be an "experimental unit" and interestingly, has a time-limit attached as well. I'm not sure what this means, but Regius appears to think that this means RF6 can be ditched anytime. Auris affirms this by commenting that, should RF6 become a burden to HQ, it'll be cut off immediately (she also thought to herself that Hayate chose this path despite the unfavourable conditions).
Another interesting fact is that Nanoha and Fate don't actually belong to the unit. Instead they are "sent by HQ" to be "attached" to it. Sneaky, but nice move nonetheless, this allows them, who do not below to the Ground Troops, to join RF6 without much hassle.
This leaves the problem with the Knights. Vita and Signum were also from the Air Force, and there's no mention of any special recommendations for them. However, if you consider that they are part of Hayate's Family (the Mafia, anyone? :D), this might create some leeway somehow, someway. I'm sure that Lindy at least would be skilled enough to create a loophole here or there :p.
Just watched this, and it actually reminded me a bit of My-HiME 16. Like some had said, this seemed to be a sort of bonding and resting period following the preceding incident. Sure, this one didn't end with an obvious leader to the big stuff to come, but it still had the same feel.
Frankly, I can't help but think one of the producers' goals with this ep was to try and refute the previous NY suggestions in ep8. Perhaps some of the NF fans had complained about how Fate had seemed to leave the lovebirds alone... Anyway, it's a bad enough blow seeing Fate wear that sort of lingerie to bed with Nanoha, but the declaration that both are Vivio's mother takes the cake.
Well, like others had said, we'll probably have another cooldown ep before things heat up. Then I'll see whether Sakura can kill the mosquitoes before Caro sicks her black dragon on Vivio for offing Erio with secret Alhazred technology.
Frankly, I can't help but think one of the producers' goals with this ep was to try and refute the previous NY suggestions in ep8.I think it's fairly clear that they're trying to have things every which way. Nanoha isn't a romance-focused show, so there's no real need for a clearcut coupling declaration... and why take the risk of offending large chunks of the fanbase when you can keep everyone happy by throwing them a bone now and then?
Having said that, I'd be surprised if NxF wasn't the biggest group among Nanoha 'shippers, and the producers would have to be aware of that. I wonder if that wasn't part of the reason for creating the Nanoha/Fate/Vivio family in the first place - it's a convenient way of slipping in lots of warm-and-fuzzy Nanoha/Fate time without needing to have them snuggle each other directly.
Well, like others had said, we'll probably have another cooldown ep before things heat up. Then I'll see whether Sakura can kill the mosquitoes before Caro sicks her black dragon on Vivio for offing Erio with secret Alhazred technology.

The studio got a bad reaction after that scene, who surf 2chan and 4chan will know that the boards almost exploded, but as we said before in many boards, this is the kind of series where the studio takes feedback and can write or modify the plot according to it (bad thing, remember what happened in GSD when Sunrise changed the protagonist?), and if they do a mistake they will try to amend it. So this kind of scene between our two main characters was expected, but it was CRIMINAL, there is no other word to describe such a sudden declaration.
And have you seen the photos on Fate‘s and Nanoha’s bed? lol
It’s supposed to be always about subtext and subtext, but this complete episode was in the border of the line, and according to many people, it was a direct declaration.
About the FAR FAR FEAR thing, god, it’s obvious you can’t do Paya-Paya when your daughter is sleeping in the same bed, common sense, it’s just normal for married couples to sleep with their baby in the middle of the bed between them.
The good thing about the studio taking feedback is that we surely will get more fanservice (is it fanservice if involves plot?), maybe we even can get more "happy family ^^" fanservice in the next episode since they got a good reaction of the scenes in this one. Quotes like this are frequent in almost every board, I saved many of them from 4chan as the people were watching the raws:
ho-ly shit.. i dont think ive ever seen an anime have a realtionship like this before, where they just went right to the like... STEADY relationship, not needing to show fanservice out the ass to prove it, it was like wham, nanoha first season--fate meets nanoha. bam--A's, fate and nanoha get a little bit cloooser, THANK YOU MA'AM-- strikers, theyre married have a kid and print out 4chan images and post them on the walls lol

It seems like you're a bit confused... Nanoha and Fate were the cutest ever, if we put them together we get the cutest family, BUT if we as well add the ultimate element of unlimited MOE, Vivio, and we add the suffix “–mama” to Fate and Nanoha, what we get? Not simply a cute family, surely, we need a new word for it, something like “the moe-cutest family”, or combining the words “the mutest family”… well, the last one doesn’t sound good, we need suggestions.

Since when does ANY studio gives a damn about 4chan? 2ch I can understand, though I didn't exactly see any Gurren-Lagann 4 class outburst.
Anyway, it's not like we didn't know that they were sleeping together so that point's moot. We were bound for an episode that showed that even before Yuuno showed up, and I'd like to think that Vivio was planned to be so, so that the hopefully eventual mindfuck that revolves around Vivio's true identity will be more emotionally charged. Besides, Nanoha is the ONE character that's kinda free atm, since Fate/Elio had PF/Jail, Hayate has prophecy/commander's burden/putting her life on the line, Subaru/Ginga has the Sentoukijin/Mother, Caro has Black Dragon...Teana's hardly a mother figure...
Well, I'm not bothered. It's typically Haru being Haru, after all. Didn't we go through this during the bed scene around 10 episodes back? Let's not go any further...until subtext goes even more direct.

They don't have people like Regius sitting on the top spot so they're definately not as easy to deal with.
And according to the spoiler (aka Prophecy), the ground center would go first, giving Navy plenty of time to make preparations.
Actually, I myself am thinking more of a Covert operation... They use a ship that everybody thinks is gone to avoid trouble...

With regards to the Arthra being part of the prophecy or essentially being any part of the action, it doesn't look that way as Chrono had said that the ship was more or less near the end of its operational life and was unable to withstand long-term missions(Precia's fault?).
I'd say the only way for it to circumvent that rule is to ram it. XD

From Current time, Athra had Arc-en-ciel installed 10 years ago... and since we saw it in flashback scene in A's add another 10 years on top of it. Assuming it is made just before they this incident. A complex engineering project like that I'll give it yet another 5-10 years of desiging, prototyping and field testing.

Was it ever revealed (I might not remember small details from previous seasons)? Does it matter anyway? If it was created before ban the ease of usage couldn't be a huge argument. If it was created after it that would be ironic and kind of stupid. We lack info about the conventional weapons they used back then though, thus having to take our own for comparison, which is not exactly the right way to judge the situation in Nanohaverse.

Once again, it's a question of control.
Conventional weapons, as the name suggest, is something that come more or less be found in everyday place, and from the description, anybody could just pick one up and use it. Only a few (in comparison with the world) 'selected' people can use magic.
The Arc-en-Ciel is something that they have control and dominance over. SO even less of a chance that a 'child' would come across it.

Regarding Arc-En-Ciel:
Thing is, the control system for the Acr-En-Ciel is magical... as we saw, it had to materialize out of thin air in order to use the firing lock. And I doubt just anyone could authorize and release the keyhole for the system, and even then it'll require magic, which not everyone has.
This is unlike with out nuclear launch systems today, where the only physical safety feature are the dual keys carried by the assigned officers. The actual launch system itself only requires a button to be fired. If you can bypass those launch keys, or acquire them ANYONE can launch a nuke.

So how do they keep their new weapons of mass destruction in check? I would say nothing changed at high levels then - a single person with enough authority can still easily destroy a world. The achievements of this ban are arguable at least. And seeing how for example Dr. Spaghetti can create his drones undetected what prevents the production of conventional weapons exist in the same way? I'm actually amazed we don't see it happening.
EDIT:
Regarding control - it works in both ways - when you only rely on magic you have a limited amount of people capable to work with it. It's official that TSAB is short-handed atm. With a conventional weapon anyone can be trained to enforce order, stand on guard etc.

I don't believe that before ban the production of nukes for example was easy. Why should it become harder to create a conventional weapon illegally after the ban? What made the criminals give up their usage? At least the bullets aren't that hard to produce. Less than 100 years to completely get rid of all the weapons? So we don't even see them smuggled or appearing on the black market occasionally? If TSAB history wasn't that short it could be more believable though.

There is no absolute correct answer.
There will always be Pros and Cons, if they ban conventional weapons at that time because they felt that it was the right choice, I don't think it's fair to Criticize them now when problems began to appear several years after the decision was made. Not many people can read the future.
Moving on, I am interested in what compose of their 'standard' forces. If mages aren't as rare as they once were now, they'll have no problem covering those grounds.
But what I imagine is that a mage is more versatile than any soldier with a gun, and if they were toss into situations like (or even slightly less like) the ones we saw in the first two season, I doubt it would be of much use.

It's not the ban itself that's bugging me but the fact that it was actually successful. Too little time passed imho.
I didn't see regular TSAB mages effectively dealing with a situation like the ones we saw in the first two seasons  In fact, they failed. Those who succeded shall not be compared with a soldier with a gun but rather with an elite army unit packed with all kinds of fire support etc. :heh:
Something along the lines of X-Com may be a good force addition wrt circumstances.
My thoughts on the conventional weapons ban:
1. The "even a child can operate them" thing is propaganda. Damn effective one too, since people are still spouting it 75 (or 150) years later.
2. I can see only one scenario that would allow the TSAB to implement the ban so successfully. It has to have been instituted just after an apocalyptic war fought with conventional weapons was won by the worlds that eventually became the TSAB's members. Also, there was no strong faction that disagreed with the policy. If there had been a strong anti-ban faction that could not be defeated without the use of conventional weapons, the ban would never have been instituted no matter the desire to do so.
3. There is one way magic can render conventional weapons almost useless. This would have helped in gathering support for the ban. Think about our weapons, almost all of them use kinetic impact to destroy. If non-magical kinetic attacks cannot penetrate shields, barriers and fields, what use are they against a mage army?
There were some more things, but I haven't been able to compose them in my head yet.

hi does anyone have all the 4coma's that are out there translated by Kelkirk?
A mage can block physical /conventional weapons with his or her shield, like Nanoha did in her fights with Vita in A's. I'm fairly sure her metallic ball-things are physical, as well as Graf Eisen, and Nanoha clearly uses her Round Shield and Protection to block them.

reminder: the numbers are example of non magical weapons
While true, do remember that although they were able to give the rookies a run for their money, they weren't versatile enough to deal with the Aces. If similar technology had been deployed during the weapons-banning days of the early TSAB, I think they would have been able to deal with them with a larger and more experienced mage force.
If anything, the greater the non-magical threat their mages could defeat, the more support for their policy they would gather.

75 years.
And as I've said before, laws are not absolute, somebody would always break them. However it would still be considered a success if they manage to lower it down to a very minium rate.
And after all this time, Magic might seem like a better choice of weapon to them, not that hard to imagine criminals switching over.

Like I've said, "or less like".
Those were very special situations that they don't normally deal with. A normal mage would be called off the field and replaced by specialist well skilled for the situation.

its hard to see how magic can be considered safer than conventional weapons...thats unless they mean that a machine gun has unlimited ammo whereas a mage's mana isnt like an unending flow of bullets...

Maybe because it is harder to use and not everyone has magic potential so if non mage person pick up the canon from the number (for example) they wont accidentally blew up their house :heh:

The fact is we don't see anybody breaking this particular law, and this is strange.
75 years isn't that much time. On top of that there're these non-administrated worlds where conventional weapons aren't banned.
For me it's quite hard to imagine. What did those who had no magical talent do, just gave up? Even what we see in the show doesn't seem most logical: I suppose Dr.Spaghetti could also produce conventional weapons if he can create his drones with ease, so a combination of a powerful AMF and conventional weaponry is the first thing coming to my mind.

That's because it's not important to the plot, nor is it a part of what RF6 does.
If their jobs were to arrest smugglers of weapon trade then I'm sure we'll see that. But that's not the case.

I agree with you, it's still likely to gain access to conventional weapons, however the TSAB control alot of places and what our story now is focusing on just one. It's not worth throwing in all these non-related events if it's not part of the story they intend to tell.

I don't think it's strange at all. The different worlds simply saw that conventional weaponry was getting more and more dangerous to use so they played the world peace cards. Of course these laws needed to be enforced and put into play which is way the TSAB was founded in the first place.
75 years isn't that much time. On top of that there're these non-administrated worlds where conventional weapons aren't banned.
In 75 years it could be done if you 1) Stop the creation of conventional weapons.
2) Stop the distribution of these conventional weapons, 3) Destroy every conventional weapon you can find. Besides if your playing the for peace card I don't think to many people will argue especially if magic is proven to be a safer and cleaner alternative to bullets and missiles. (and yes I'm aware of the irony that you can destroy a whole galaxy with a single spell.) :heh:
Non-administrated thats the keyword here so they don't even count. Obliviously the TSAB may feel that planets like Earth aren't ready for the truth about magic or other worlds. Which is most likely why the TSAB just sits and watch worlds like Earth and try not interfere with the progress of the people living there. Letting them evolve a little before they make an introduction.

Like I said before if people didn't think this ban on conventional weapons wasn't going to lead to less bloodshed and war I don't think it would've been backed up in the first place. As for the Doc. it's obvious that he doesn't care about starting a war or taking down the TSAB. All he wants is data and DNA samples along with lost relics. He most likely feels that building conventional weapons would be a waist of both his time and whatever money he has when he doesn't even need them for his goals.
P.S. Numbers being non-magical weapons wold look extremely strange. Seemed magical enogh during their performance.
I'll agree with you on this one the Numbers obviously have some kind magical origin to them. What that is has yet to be explained.

1 - impossible. Doc can produce his drones and TSAB can't stop him. Then the same can happen with the manuacture of conventional weapons.
2 - impossible. TSAB can't even completely stop the smuggling of Lost Logia, which are much easier to detect.
3 - possible, but useless because of 1 and 2.
Any criminal without magical talent would want a weapon. If there's a demand, there'll be illegal manufacturers and dealers. The only excuse would be that it's not the focus of current series.

Doc wastes his time and money the way he acts now, simply sacrificing the drones. It's OK for data collection, but not when trying to retrieve a Relic. For example the first confrontation with RF6 on a train - some conventional weapons could've helped a lot. If the drone fighting Erio had a machine gun built in the situation could've turned out bad for the boy, with only his BJ left as means of protection he would've probably been seriously injured if not dead. The Aces would have to provide help to rookies at least. I'm not even mentioning how low is the drones' rate of fire in comparison with modern conventional weaponry.
P.S. Probably it should

Like I said before the TSAB ships are always mointoring these non-administrated world. I'm not saying it isn't possible but you'd have to be either a totally idiot or have balls of steel to try and smuggle weapons off a planet with a TSAB warship contently looking down on you.

I would like to argue against that.
Not everything in this story is a matter of fiction. Somethings can be explained with logic and thinking from our world, since it's our world that created theirs to begin with, so the fundementals would more or less remain the same.
What is different is the situations that occurs in the story.
However the problem starts when people don't know when to draw the line.

Not under something like TSAB, but you know what I meant :heh:
SS has the disadvantage of trying to tie up loose ends from a show that was based on some cheap porn game, and last time I check porn does not require elaborated and logical plot structure :heh:. I believe the creator is trying to achieve too many things in SS. There are simply too many characters for a 26 episodes series to handle without the audience feeling rush. It feels like Mai Otome all over again that I keep waiting for this thing call potential, but the show never delivers. The show should have started with Vivio and just introduce the 4 recruits with some flashbacks. In a way, I think the 4 recruits are useless to the story at a whole.
But, I don't really care about the plot that much at this point. I only care about healthy Nanoha and healthy Fate sleeping in the same bed :heh::heh::heh:

Somehow i feel this series's ending has a high chance of having less splendour than the previous.
XD
@Kha
Well the 3 definitely needed to use their stamina and exert effort on their part, while the conventional weapons were talked of as though there were no safety locks on them, such that they'd annihilate a world if a baby as much as fell on the button.I don't believe that there weren't executive orders to fire a WMD. Then again... Jimmy raise several valid points:
My thoughts on the conventional weapons ban:
1. The "even a child can operate them" thing is propaganda. Damn effective one too, since people are still spouting it 75 (or 150) years later.

There were some more things, but I haven't been able to compose them in my head yet.1. Definitely. At SG we're stuffed with that bullshit. No wonder what Fate said stank so familiar. And I'm being serious here.
2. Yeap, and not to mention facilitate the fusion of several nation states into one body. It'll be the only way to survive after having practically destroyed all semblance of national structure.
3. And correct again. I'd like to point out Catch 22 here: Do repeated conventional attacks wear down a shield, or does a shield totally ignore the incoming fire and wall it off? We've yet to pit US Marines against TSAB Enforcers, but that'll be the only way to prove this theory.
reminder: the numbers are example of non magical weaponsI'm pretty sure they are using another kind of magic, since magic is basically anything that cannot be explained by science.
My guesses for Relic power are:
1. That it runs on a different type of mana, like say, soul particles? Bounto deshou? :heh:
2. Is super-advanced Science, running on high reverse entropy and permanent engine principles to generate wtf loads of power. (Did I just kill you Darco? :heh:)

Actually, since conventional weapons (here on called CWs) were banned also becos of their pollutive nature, I suppose lasers, phasors, railguns and other energy based precision weapons, like mag pulses, proton torpedoes (Star Wars & Star Trek FTW :p) and the venerable Ion Cannon might've been spared. I've long theorized that some bombardment magic is actually beam particle technology, though how they get light/particles to bend like they do in Nanohaverse is beyond me at the moment.

If we're talking CW's on drones, I believe those laser weapons on the drones are conventional, and we see those aerial drones firing missiles at Fate and Nanoha in 11, thus lending credence to the existence of certain weapons at least (although how missiles still exist is an unusual point...).
although how missiles still exist is an unusual point...
The principle behind rockets is quite simple. It shouldn't take someone with the Docktor's resources long to recreate the design from scratch and he wouldn't have to. He almost certainly has access to dimension-hopping magic, he can get them from a sufficiently advanced Non-Administrated World. Like ours, for example.
Coming up with a guidance package good enough to home in on people is a different matter. It could be gotten around by using magic instead of tech though. Since he created the AMF, he should know how to make his own magic work in it.

I wouldn't worry all that much about the Erio/Caro thing. All we need to do is go back a few episodes to that 'date' to get past any concerns about a family thing. Wait for you to watch the episode, nah that's utter madness :heh:.
It's only until tomorrow :heh:
I wouldn't worry all that much about the Erio/Caro thing. All we need to do is go back a few episodes to that 'date' to get past any concerns about a family thing. Unless they are the married part of the family. Of course that doesn't mean Lutecia can just jump into things since that'd be fun regardless.
Don't forget the whole RomeoXJuliet possibility except with not-related-by-blood thing...
*points at sig*
About Lutecia... I can't believe that after episode 12 there's STILL a possibility of it happening!
Quit yanking our chains and give us an answer!!! :frustrated: (:heh:)
75 years is a LOT of time for radical advances in weaponry. You do realise that 75 years ago, we had no automatic-guns, no nuclear weapons, no ICBMs, no carriers, no jet planes, etc...
Compared to the technology of today, the weapons we were using 75 years can be considered "primitive".
If we then jump back ANOTHER 75 years into the past... hoo-boy... no tanks, no rockets, no planes, no bolt-action rifles, etc... the late 19th century was pretty shitty to be on the frontline.
Whoever claims that 75 years is not enough for major leaps in technological advancements in weapons is obviously smoking something and not sharing. :heh:
Cheers. :p

No wait, I think that 75 years was in reference to being able to get rid of all banned weapons.
THough I've already said that nothing is absolute and that there're bound to have people that could slip by the system

THough I've already said that nothing is absolute and that there're bound to have people that could slip by the systemThat's the point here. 75 years is a little short for all known nations to gel together into one big entity, and not to mention absolutely wipe out all CWs from the face of the Administrated Worlds (AWs). It seems pretty absolute cos we don't exactly hear of firearms trafficking, only Relics.
Also, wouldn't some local AW governments cry foul of the way CWs are allowed in the NAWs? Unless back then there were no NAWs with CWs, but that's another hard image to project...

Perhaps Magic has been widely accepted as a better choice now.
Conventional weapons does have more disadvantages.
Lasers are considered magic I guess :heh: Missiles would be more interesting though  Rate of fire and projectiles' velocity are the things that bug me in almost every anime with some kind of blasters :rolleyes:Well, both Type-1 and Type-2 are seen using a kind of guided-missle, so yes, they're definitely there.
And for a record, Tuduki once answered to web-clap that, even N&F wouldn't survive a nuke.
That answer was made at around Season 1, and he didn't specify how big of nuke it is, but there's one comparison.

The only disadvantage of Magical technology, if you might call it that, is that one needs magic to activate and use the weapon...the wielder becomes the weapon's "ammo".
But if used correctly, there's no harm for the user.

That is not really a down side such it can be another layer of protection for weapons of mass destruction...
On a completly unrelated note to Nanoha, what are you guyings picking up this season? So far zombie loan, nanatsuiro drops and school days in raws for me

It is also can be considered advantages since not everyone can utilize em so less danger/accident.Plus it is easier and faster to control the dmg output suited for different situation (compared to switching from handgun to machine gun or rocket launcher :heh: )
You could beat the crap out of the criminals (controlled to do magic dmg only) and still able to be interrogated later :p

Makes me wonder however if it is possible to kill with pure magical dmg... there must be some limit as to the amount of magical dmg a person can take in before reaching a dangerous level...

This is from what have been aired so far... While I wish I can be more selective I guess it will be same as last season where I ends up with 30 or so series between me and few friends... I do like suggestions on the must watches, other then then the standard moe series or 2nd seasons...

Basically, Magic is more versatile than physical weapons. Hence putting more funds into researching it is a more cost effective decision.
Another advantage over physical.

Normally, I would check out 75% of the new shows first before deciding... But since it's impossible from where I am...
I'll just go with face-value and pick,
- School Days
- Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~
- Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho Tou Dai Ni Maku
Are the ones I do know and is a must watch :p
- Nanatsuiro Drops
- ZOMBIE-LOAN
- Mushi-Uta
looks interesting and quite few people seem to like it.
And finally,
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
:uhoh::upset::uhoh::upset::uhoh:
The first season freak the hell out of me, but unfortunately, it's a bloody (in every sense of the word) attractive thriller mystery, that means I'll have no choice but to brave it again... :upset:

Probably, since usage of magic strain the user body.Excessive amount of pure magic bombardment might also be able to kill the target just took much longer.Assuming the magic attack damage and drain opponent's linker core completely(or drained from defending) , the extra magic damage would eat up the body next.

Many of you have been asking for a shot of the Claudia. It's too bad they decided not to make a full profile shot of the ship in this episode, so you'll have to settle for this:

A Trimaran? Spiffy :D
And seeing the Arthra there brings back memories :D
As expected, the warships' general design still remains the same.
Though the word 'Avalon' keeps screaming in my head :heh:
Main difference seems to be the 'prongs' the extend forward of the ship are now oriented vertically instead of horizontally like on the Arthra. The upper prong seems to be integrated to the main hull while an extension joins the lower prong to the hull.
The 2 exterior pics are enough construct a complete exterior view except for the top of the upper prong and stern of the ship.
Is it just me, or does the bridge seem much less "grand" and much more bland and functional? Less curves and more straight lines and angles on the inside, but the outside is very different.

The numbers don't use magic to fuel their weapons
It's confirmed in episode 13
What are they using? probably quantum science. Unless you want to argue that quantum science is magic too. Which is possible.
The A's manga confirmed the spell casting as a mathematical process happening inside your mind. Using imaginary numbers, perhaps?
Episode 14 also confirmed them to be sentoukijin, or war humanoid literally. Sentoukijin has apparently appeared several times in the past and the numbers are using the latest technology of it. This seems to suggest that they are a type of banned weaponry from the past which are upgraded with the latest achievements.
As for the preference for magic.
judging from our own present day word. public image has become very important.
perhaps magic with its gentler image (cleaner, less lasting collatera damage) is favored by many sides of a conflict because of this
fighting battles needs resources and sponsor and if your perceived image by the public is too violent that won't do you any good
That depends on the "image" you're trying to project. If it's "the nice, clean guys" that's all well and good. But if it's "the unbeatable conqueror", are you going to let such trivial concerns like environmental-friendliness get in the way of your victories? I don't think so.

so those things are still out there

Your not alone, the bridge does seem less "spectacular" or "grand".
The thought of magic being related to mathematics is very possible. Mathematics is part of everyday life and its true.
Anyway I think there will be a conflict within the dimensional bureau waiting to happen. Possibly Hayate's own squad will have to leave the bureau because of conflicting interests within the bureau's higher ups. With that Ginga and Subaru might have to fight against each other but that is very unlikely. It's just a thought crossed my head after watching A's again for the hell of it.
Does everyone think this is possible or not possible?

That was then, this is now.
I would imagine that Magic technology has come a long way from what it was 75 years ago.

The only internal conflict they'll have is with Ground Forces. But the Navy and the Church got their backs, so it won't fall to that stage.
Even if they got 'kicked out' it'll probably to stay off the radar so that they could Interfere better when the 'attack' begins.

True, but what about Subaru and Ginga, it's very unlikely that they will fight each other but it's possible. Besides that there is the other possibility that Ginga will "join" or help Hayate's squad if they did break off from the bureau.

The only thing the would force those two to fight would be a situation that involves their mother. In the heat of the moment where they have to make a choice on whether to arrest or kill her muderer. Something like that.
P.S - I've just watched the episode, assume me general comments were more or less the same as everybody else, but I do want to add this...
Zafira didn't even get to talk :heh: ... That is just rock bottom :heh:
1. Erio
2. Chrono

Yah:heh: Zafira needs a little more appearances but at least Chrono is getting more show time plus I'm happy that Chrono's voice actor is the voice actor for Kyon from Suzumiya Haruhi which is great!

Yeah poor Zafira just making a cameo appearance. It's just not easy being the dog after all.
True at least Chrono has shown up. He may not be in a fight yet, but at least he's been showing up. Long as he sticks nearby something should crack and he'll slip right in. Guess they tracked him down and have been keeping tabs on him so he doesn't run off again.
