regarding the School Days ED album, I really enjoyed the different tones in the different ending themes. There was one ending that sounded a bit kiddish or like a little kid singing it...it sounded pretty weird.:heh:
But other than that, I liked the whole album, there was one specific song that I really liked...I'll have to find the title of that song...

waltz is my favorite song for the album by far :D
i just love the classical theme the song has (makes me feel like doing some ballroom dancing :heh:) - The high buildups to the main chorus is awesome and even the cool down periods between such interval continues to hold me heart tight - some real feeling being shown through here ^__^
second favorite is Kioku no Umi (and who can forget what happened during the playing of this song in the series...yep kotonoha frantically trying to meet makoto on the roof only to see him humping sekai...heart breaks!)

School Days overall has impressed me incredibly with it's songs. The way they fit to the mood is almost beyond perfect. Even the OP, with it's deceptively happy tone only serves to contrast with the actual plot and ED's and make them even more powerful to the viewer. Only the final ep of Cowboy Bebop and Seto no Hanayome ep 9 came close.

I have never liked the full-size songs. Some bits i the middle and beginning don't sound that great. Where as the TV-sizes for any anime are compiled from the best parts of the song.

I've only listened to one track on the game OST, "Knife or saw?" which I like in a very odd way. Sounds like something out of a platformer or RPG, and I'm addicted to the technoish riff between 0:23 and 0:38.

I fell so in love with one of the ending themes of the anime, "Look at me" by YURIA. Unlike the other few songs I've heard by her before, her voice comes across as haunting to me, yet beautiful all at once. "Innocent Blue" isn't too bad either and rather catchy, though for some reason some parts remind me of the ending theme from Namco × Capcom.

And of course, "Kanashimi no Mukou e" is fantastic; fits the darker endings of the game very well. I haven't watched the whole series yet so I'd like to see how this song is used.

School Days had an amazing soundtrack. For only having twelve episodes, it managed to have eight ending themes. More importantly, those ending themes fit their respective episodes like gloves. Considered the wide range of emotions that the anime captured, that's quite a feat. The background sountrack was also quite varied. The character themes captured the characters personalities well, and the mood music certainly did its job. Hamon, for example, has an eerie and stilted feeling that really affects your mood. As stated repeatedly, the opening theme really acts as a great contrast to the tone of the show.

I have to admit, I listen to some anime music only because its source material is great, and the music reminds me of it. However, this music doesn't fall into that category. I highly recommend the anime original soundtrack, Ending Theme album, and OP album for School Days.

I decided to do an english cover of the insert song played in episode 12 (last ep). I had someone recreate the instrumental so that it sounds somewhat close to the original one. :)
